Hi there... I hope you are all doing okay
It's another sunny day here as lock down continues and a new challenge at
CAS Watercolour has begun
As my paints are a permanent fixture on my craft table these days, and an idea came into my head, I made a card
I used a couple of cloud dies and just a trimmed portion of the man and his dog die. Someone pointed out that rather than a dog, it could be a child pointing at the sky and it really does look like that, so you see it as you wish
I wasn't able to capture the shine of the gold paint here but you get the idea
The paints I used are the Prima Currents set - a mix of different shades, together with gold paint by Gansai Tambi and the sentiment is computer generated.
All's well here, I cut DH's hair so he looks human again, baked soda bread and scones - We can't get any bread flour as such but our local shop allows 1kg bag of plain flour per customer which is great.
And finally an update on the new clematis that appeared...
It has taken over and is blooming like crazy! I love it!
Enjoy your day my friends
Till soon

WOW...your card is STUNNING Ros!! What a fabulous idea to die cut clouds from your water colored night sky piece to build your card with! Love the gold star splatters, the die cut silhouette, and the perfect sentiment too! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
A fabulous card which fits the challenge perfectly Ros, and I can imagine in real life how the gold stars really stand out. I love that clematis too. x
OH my stars, Ros!!! This is phenomenal... love the man, but sad to hear his dog died [just kidding - but honestly that's what I saw in my first read-through!!]
Absolutely fabulous!
=]
So PROFOUND and Fabulous! And I LOVE your beautiful blooms!
Fanflippingtastic, Ros! Picture me, bowing down in awe!! Good for you cutting DH's hair! Even though I've now cut my own twice, the Mister won't let me near his. Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe the way I cut mine twice is the reason, haha! Beautiful photo! TFS! Hugs, Darnell
Gorgeous colors in your night sky, Ros, and the golden stars make add a elegant look! Love the die cuts! I saw a father and son. A beautiful clematis vine! I had an autumn clematis once and it smelled as good as it looked!
I wish you would stop turning out these absolutely fabulous cards Ros!! You are just too talented and have a great imagination obviously. Love this..and yes I saw it as a child pointing and not a dog. Your clematis is doing you proud....I bet it is a beacon of light and prettiness. Keep trucking xx
What a fabulous card, Ros and I love those shiny gold stars! Your beautiful clematis is putting on a great show for you.
Hope you are well and take care.
Hugs

Oh, your card is so gorgeous!! Love that beautiful cloud! And, sweet silhouette die! Wonderful touch of gold, too! My hubby needs a hair trim. I could probably trim around his ears, but that would be all I’d be comfortable to do, lol! Lovely clematis, so pretty!
so creative with the silhouette man and dog looking at that sky and the shooting gold stars :)
Oh boy do scones sound good! I finally got flour & now need to get myself to make the biscotti I love. Wonderful card, my friend! As you know, I love that quote & the clouds are beautiful! So neat you've got new flowers in the garden!
OMG!!!! This is brilliant on so many levels! The sky & stars are gorgeous, the design is amazing and unique and that sentiment is so perfect for the card and the current times we are in! Thanks so much for the inspiration and sharing at CAS Watercolour:)
PS: I've never had soda bread, but it could be like Aussie damper, so I'll look that up.
Gorgeous card and absolutely perfect for the way things are now!! I see a dog in the die cut, makes me happy!! Your clematis is gorgeous, mine is just starting to bud, but we hare to get a deep freeze Friday night so am keeping my fingers crossed things won't get hit too hard, well at least it keeps the snakes out of the garden!! I agree with you, I just want things the way they were, but it will never happen, I had a rough week with it last week and yesterday flopped on the sofa all day, so NOT me!! Hugs my friend!!
Those clouds are very dramatic and beautiful! The gold is a striking touch and in the second photo I can get a good idea of it when clicking up close. I can imagine how it must be IRL. A wonderful sentiment, too. That clematis seemed to come along at just the right time. It was looking for a home and it found a good one. We're doing okay here. It's always better when the sun comes out.
What a stunner of a card and so creative and clever Ros. Great interpretation of the challenge theme. Such a pretty clematis and well done you on baking and cutting DH hair x.
I just love this design - it's stunning and I hope you don't mind me pinning it for inspiration. The sentiment is so apt. I borrowed some clippers from my neighbour and cut my 13-year-old's hair....I hope the hairdressers reopen soon because I don't think I could go through that trauma again!
Fantastic night sky card Ros, I love your little twisty interpretations in your designs... this is really cool and great with the silhouettes... then a spray of stars and a wonderful sentiment to finish.
The world today has us all appreciating what a reasonably easy life we've lived but it's nice to see that people can still put their hand to making bread, managing with short supplies and entertaining and caring for our families... we're not in isolation over here but bread making is one task on my to do list, nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread. Stay safe, hugs Robyn
What an incredibly creative card! Love the way you did the night sky as the clouds! Wonderful whimsy in the card!
Gardening, baking, and making cards sounds like my life today - as well as walking my dog.
Gorgeous card Ros. Very creative and such a unique and beautiful design! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx
Oh wow, the clematis is winderful... and in bloom already?! Mine's lagging behind then, I guess. Great idea for the card and the stars truly do shine.
Cutting hair... I finally have an appointment today, just soon enough for me not to lose patience and go at it with one of those hair cutting machines myself!
What a beautifully composed design Ros! LOVE that die cut of man and child and your wonderful night sky clouds splattered with gold! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolor! xx
Your clouds are awesome! The image of man and dog (boy) is so perfect for this card. I saw dog but either is a nice image. The gold really pops and I love that sentiment. Your clematis blooms are so pretty.
