Bicycles and Aunts...

When I saw this digital stamp from Stacy Marks, it reminded me of my dear Aunt who, at 83 and despite having gone through some major health issues, still continues to ride her little 3 wheeler bicycle.
She is such an inspiration....and a brilliant artist too ... I will share some of her paintings and embroidery work in my next post - you will be amazed at her talent!

Earthquakes ....

Good Morning...

My son is in LA and last night he was partying in Hollywood... I get an email to say that there were earthquakes to the north and south, but thankfully he is fine.
One never stops being a Mom, no matter how old your 'baby' is ... they will always be just that "your baby" and instinct makes you want to protect them....

I am glad that my son is seeing the world... LA calls to him when he is home and America is where he needs to be. I get to see it all through his eyes... and my heart is happy when he is.

A card and shoes set to show you - I made this sometime ago for a friend - those little shoes are so darn fiddly I can tell you. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture ... it was a while ago.

Have a good day and keep safe

Sunshine, Daffodils and Robins.....

Happy Easter!!

The sun is shining here but it is still cold... but the beauty of the sun on the daffodils is a sight to warm the heart.

I have discovered a robin building her nest in the ivy that runs against my window... how wonderful is that? ...(sigh)... Easter is the symbol of new beginnings.

Each day she is backwards and forwards with her little beak filled with leaves, grass and moss. I feel like and expectant Mother , and have become so very protective banning even the window cleaner from going near... means I am paying for only half my windows being cleaned but it is worth it LOL!!

So it only seems right that today I share an altered project... a Bird House

Lots of papers and embellishments here.... made for the lovely Sara.

Have a lovely Day...
