I've been busy with some projects this last week which I can't share just yet ... but this afternoon I had some time to play ...
... I love glitter ... and as my Brother and SIL will be celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary in a few days ... it was the perfect reason to play and indulge myself ... I had to photograph these using the flash because it is dark here (cold, wet and windy too!)
An anniversary card with Websters pages, a prima flower ... lots of lace and different glitters ... what could be better? This is almost the last of my little piece of flocked ribbon ... and this card deserved it ... I just had one of those ruby crystals and it found a perfect home .... rich red glitter adorns the heart ... coated twice ... and the pearls sit oh so comfortably on the precious piece of scroll lace ... a find at an antique stall ... how I wish I had more of this ...
I am a happy girlie right now ... with a glittery face and a room to tidy ....
Have a wonderful evening and I'll be back tomorrow ...
Till soon

Still here ..
Hello my dear blog friends ...
I'm sorry I have been away so long ... just all the work going on and my electricity has been off for long periods so couldn't even use my computer much. I've not really anything new to share as any spare time I've had I have been preparing things for the Club which started again last night - and for some up coming projects ...
It has been a rough week and still more to come ... on top of which 2 members of my husband golf club collapsed and died within a few days of each other whilst golfing!
I made this card sometime ago for a friend who lost a family member ... simple, straightforward ...

... and pretty quick to make when the unexpected happens ...
On a much lighter note ... Thank you to my dear friend Kirsty, creator of CCCB and Chief Pixie at the Pixie Dust Paperie for these lovely goodies I have just received for my Club ... They will be so thrilled!
Have you visited Pixie Dust Paperie yet? The new November kit is now available and it is really lovely.
I hope to be back with you all soon ... till then
keep safe

City CrafterChallenge Week 29
Good morning to you ... It's Tuesday again and that means a brand new challenge at City Crafter and this week Linda has chosen a digital theme with "Get Your Digi On" ... Yep, time to use your digital stamps ... We have "Some Odd Girl" as our sponsor this week and the DT each used a stamp from her range ...
I used Anjou!
I printed it twice onto CS ... reversing one and then did the same with paper and pieced them together. Everything else was from my stash ...
We have the brilliant Clare Buswell as our GD this week ... if you're looking for inspiration take a look at all the work done by the Clare and DT this week ... as always there's a prize to be had ... just follow the rules and most of all have fun! I look forward to seeing your creations this week.
Have a lovely day ...
Till soon

Play Date Cafe Color Splash
Hi there ... how's it going? ... Did you all enjoy your Halloween weekend? ... It was very quiet here and we didn't have many "trick or treat" callers at all ... seems my friends noticed the lack of callers too ... hmmm ... I'm just popping in with a little card for the Color Splash challenge over at Play Date Cafe ... such a pretty picture
I went with another Christmas card ... trying to get as many as I can done ... here's my effort ...
I love this holly stamp ... It's an Anna Griffin and I picked it up on Ebay ... the sentiment stamp is WM and that beautiful lace is from my swap partner Chriss Blagrave. I used flower soft for the 'snow' on my poinsettia and added touches of glitter to my holly.
Thank you all so much for your sweet comments of late ... I really appreciate each and everyone ... I am still struggling without a kitchen sink but the work is well underway ... then I discovered that the cupboard doors that have been delivered are the wrong ones! ... Why did I know that would happen? ... Seems it will take another 3 weeks to get the right ones ... Thank goodness I'm at Practical Philosophy tomorrow to ensure I don't get stressed ... just let everything go .... Actually it makes me realise just how fortunate we are ... some people don't even have running water or kitchens do they ... so I am thankful for all I have ...
Till soon my friends ... keep safe

Snow Angel & Top Mouse ... Yay!!
Not only have I had to order a new printer ... but my camera seems to be playing up now and my pictures are not so good .. Still I wanted to play along at the Shabby Tea Room challenge and I know I am cutting it fine ... the challenge finishes tonight ...
The challenge is to "case" one of the DT cards ... I chose to "case" Debbie's ... you can see her card Here ... I loved the bear idea so decided to try and keep all the elements Deb used but with a different theme ... mine is a Snow Angel ...

... a snowflake on his 'wand' ( this cute pin was a gift June)... I got the star in, the button and twine, a heart and even a heart halo ... I used this pretty piece of lace in place of Deb's crochet piece ...
The little bear is from Meljen and I paper pieced him and drew the wings onto some card - cut out and glittered. I just wish the pictures were better ... it's a lovely blue is reality and so very sparkly.
Before I finish I would like to say Thank You to ...WaltzingMouse for making me Top Mouse this week ... I am really honoured ....

Ikea Christmas
Well Happy Halloween to you all ... I hope you have fun!
Hubby and I went off to Ikea a couple of days ago ... after the workmen had left ... we were able to grab a meal and just stroll around for a while leaving behind the total disarray at home... I came across these cute little reindeer tree ornaments ....

I was thinking 'Christmas cards' at the time ... and something I could whip up pretty quickly (ha! it took me hours) ... I think they were about £1.99 but ... as they are made out of rather thick chipboard ... I discovered that with a little bit of wiggling and gentle tugging ... I could actually split each one into 3 ... This meant that I had 2 patterned (from the front and back) and one plain ... here's what I came up with
The patterned side with a little bit of stamping ....
Just frosted his antlers a bit too ...
Then the plain one I glittered twice ....
Luscious MME paper from the Signature Christmas range ...
Because this reindeer was not smooth ... after applying the glitter it ended up with a furry look which was an added bonus ... So what do you think?
Till soon
