Houses and more

Good morning my dear blog friends .... how are we?
I am off to Pilates shortly but just wanted to pop in with a few things ... I am still going with the Christmas cards and need to make some bookmarks ... I bought some of my friends books for Christmas and I think a handmade bookmark would be nice to put with them ... So that is my plan this afternoon ... (she says) ...
I survived my class at the primary school last week ... very different from my Thursday group ...  much more rowdy and frantic ... but I think the children enjoyed making their notebooks and bookmarks ... after which I opened my stash of embellies and cards and let them just dive in and get creative ... I was tired before I arrived and I just about staggered out ...
I know you've seen these before (probably) but this is what we made ...

I thought maybe going to a school it was not such a good idea to show them cut up book pages ... but no one seemed to notice ... they were more taken with the ladybird and the calendar insert ...

So all my classes (apart from Pilates) have finished till New Year ... I have done virtually all my gift shopping and mailed lots of stuff already ... this is a sort of production line of "house" cards ...

I don't like to forget people who have been great throughout the year ... the postman ... who trudges through the ice and snow ... my hairdresser who always accommodates me 'cos I never remember to make appointments ... and on and on the list goes ...

plus some sweet neighbours ... we don't always see much of each other but we know we can call on one another when needs be ...
Now my exercise class beckons whilst my body screams Nooooo!! Gotta make the effort ...

Till soon

Birthday bloomer

Hello dear blog friends ... I have so much to do and so little time ... as well as trying to do my Christmas cards ... cut and prepare things for the school tomorrow .... club night tonight ... I have a lot of birthdays this month too ... It was my one of my friends' birthday yesterday so this is a card I made for her ...

I always do inserts for my cards and this takes a fair bit of time ... finding a verse, printing it etc., and I completed the card and drove in the ice to my friend's house with the gift and card wrapped prettily ...
It was only on the way home I realised that I hadn't signed the card! OMG I felt such a fool ... and neither my friend nor her family said anything ... they obviously didn't want to embarrass me ... I confess that this is not the first time I have done this either ... and like before I had to make the call to apologise and ask that they sign it themselves. Fortunately on both occasions ... it caused a laugh ...

Thankfully this is the last night at the Thursday club ... Tuesday was the last night at Philosophy and I took a card in for everyone with handmade treats ... I need to slow down ...
So now I am off to see to my husband's eye drops ...

Have a great day ... Till soon

Can you see the little border? this is a vinyl border that I've had for the longest time in my stash and finally it has a place ....

2nd Post ...

Hi there ...
This is my second post today so if you missed my Pixie Dust post ... please scroll down ...

I just have a few more cards to share with you ... I haven't been able to enter sweet Mona Pendleton's (aka Cupcake Creations) challenge for a while and as I needed to make a card for my Aunt's anniversary ... I managed to combine the two ... this is the colour combination ... another beautiful photo from Leslie at A Creative Mint ...

and here is my card ....

I love those cute little birds ... really do remind me of my Aunt and Uncle ... so close and adoring of each other ... The bird images are from PC crafters and papers are digital from Pink Petticoat

The flower is Prima ... leaves punched from Kraft CS ... Fancy tags die cut for the sentiment which was computer generated .. pearls and ribbon from stash ...

I also have a couple of Christmas cards to share ...

Websters digital ... which I printed twice so I could cut out bits and decoupage them on pop dots

Computer generated sentiment  and the little deer was also adhered with pop dots and the tree glittered (of course)

And this next card is for a friend of mine who adores the "The Snowman" ...

The background paper is also Websters (non digital) ... which I stamped as well and the image is from a chipboard set of "The Snowman" images

Look how icy he is ... covered in Diamond dust ...

I'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge at City Crafter ... look forward to seeing you ...
