Cheer Up ...

Good Morning to you!

I'm hosting this week at City Crafter Challenge  ... and because I know so many of us have not been too well over the past few weeks or just been feeling a little low ... I wanted to do something that says "Cheer Up" ... So the challenge is to create a card or project that says "Get well  ... Thinking of you ... or something on those lines ... As we have a digital sponsor this week ... Digital Delights by Louby Lou  ... the DT have been given a digital image to use so I am also asking that all entries include something digital in their creation too  ...

Meet Dilly Duck ...

Isn't she sweet? I printed her onto lightweight card and coloured her on my computer ... after cutting her out I printed her again, cut out just the umbrella and used foam pads to put the second umbrella on top of the first one  ... I also added some diamond glaze for the puddle she's standing in and for the rain drops

I used more foam pads to adhere her to my card ... just to give some dimension ... the papers I've used are Websters Pages for the backgound and Prima's Jack & Jill ... the sentiment is computer generated  ... ribbon and lace are from my stash ...
I hope that you will join us this week ...  I'm sure we all know someone who could do with cheering up a little ....
Next week  City Crafter will be 1 year old!!! Can you believe it!

Have a wonderful day

Jingle Belle Week 14

Good Morning dear friends ...
This weeks' challenge at Jingle Belles really had me stumped ... I don't mind telling you ...
In fact I spent all day Saturday trying to come up with something ... Honestly!
The girls are asking that we make a humorous card ... seeing as how the challenge fell on April 1st
Now its not that I am not appreciative of humour ... far from it ... it's  just that I have never made a funny Christmas card ... don't think I have ever sent one either come to think of it ... and Miss Lauren does humour sooo well ... and every time I visit Sue Allan ... I laugh my socks off ... she writes so well ...
So by Saturday evening I was totally deflated ... "I can't do it ... what's one week? ... So I'll miss the challenge ... not worth stressing about ..."
Then yesterday it was Mother's Day ... I got my gorgeous bouquet of flowers ... and hubby took me out for some retail therapy ...  it was just what I needed ... not only for my well being (another story) but when I came home laden with goodies ... I suddenly found my inspiration ... shot straight to my craft room and voila! ... my card is done ....

So ok it's dogs again ... but I like dogs ...

and my beautiful German Shepherd had a red collar ... so I had to make one
What do you think? ... does it pass the test?
Off to Pilates now to torture my body once more ...

My space

Hi sweet friends ...
I thought I'd pop in and share some pictures of my new craft space ... I still have a few shelves to put up over my sewing machine table and a few wall hangings ... but I am almost complete ...

... So this is entering from the hall way ... as you can see the doors open out into part of the garden

I have re - covered all my desk tops with fablon ...  I have one for my computer ... one for my sewing machine and one to work on ...

... can you see the pretty wallpaper?

This is my work desk ... clear at the moment as originally it didn't have a back on as they are intended to go against a wall ... so hubby put the back on and I have re - covered it all ...
You can see some of my storage units behind

I intend changing the dark wood doors so that everything ties in ... maybe put full doors on ...

See all my little jars of buttons? just love them

Looking organised ... (for now!)

My trusty Sizzix has it's own place

Some of my craft work ... the clock doesn't work anymore but I like it and those big boxes with the gorgeous pups on hold all my scrapbook papers

... And this is the view from my chair down to hallway ...

I am loving having this space and I know I am really lucky ... I hope you enjoyed a peek into my world

Till soon
