Bunny ...

Good morning friends ...
I have a couple of things to share ... first of all my card for this weeks challenge at Jingle Belles Rock and it's week 17 ...
where does the time go?
This week the challenge is all about recycling / upcycling ... not that I really know the difference ... but I do like to re-use whenever I can ... I keep the tiniest and strangest things ... Anyway back to the challenge which is very aptly named Happy Earth Day ... so here is my Earth Day card

My background paper and sentiment is Echo Park ... which I had left over from the gorgeous December kit from Pixie Dust Paperie ... the ' Carte Postale' with the embossed snowflakes is from an old shop bought card ...
The heart and wavy border are both cut from cardboard packaging ... and glittered up a little ... I left the border smooth and 'peeled' the heart ... cardboard cuts brilliantly with the Sizzix

The greenery on the heart is a bit of tinsel from an old decoration and one of my berry stems
the ribbon and little mulberry paper trees are from my stash ...
So I did recycle / upcycle quite a bit here ... and I plan to use a lot more of that Cardboard to make some gift tags with ...

Now I would like you to meet bunny ...

Isn't she just the cutest? got to show you some more pics of her

She ... is called Yvette ... why? ... well my Mum was called Yvette (her father was french) and as a small child she was nicknamed Bunny ... something to do with a cute little angora hat she wore that her Mother knitted for her ... so my Mum is spending Easter with us after all ...

Have a good one!

Sweet Baby Card ...

Hello sweet blog friends ...
I know I've been absent for a while ... just things to do and a few hospital appointments to see to ... and I have at least been keeping up with visiting your blogs and seeing your beautiful creations ... I couldn't go a day without doing so ...
I just had some time to make a card for two challenges ... first up
CR84FN24 ... with this beautiful colour palette

... and such an inspiring quote ...

and also WatzingMouse Sketch Challenge ... which I flipped

It's a beautiful day here again and I have been all over the place trying to take a decent photo of my card .. this is the best I could do ...
Here's my card ...

I printed my CS cream and used pale blue paper from Prima's Jack and Jill together with some Tim Holtz paper ... that sweet baby image is from Printable Heaven

The flower is also Prima and the leaves I punched out ... scrunched seam binding from Bluebird Lane at Etsy ... the little button was a clear button which I altered using a little text paper and some glossy accents ...

Have you any plans for Easter? ... I am just taking things as they come ... When my Mum was alive she always came and celebrated Easter and Christmas holidays with me ... and yes ... we saw each other practically every day .... somehow it's never the same ... but I have wonderful memories ... and many of my son with all his Easter Eggs ... Lol!
I am thankfully for all I have ... my Husband and my Son here with me ... my family and my friends ... and my thoughts are with those less fortunate
Whatever you have planned ... I wish you all a blessed Easter ... may love and peace be with you

Till soon

City Crafter Challenge

Good Morning everyone ... are you well? ... I hope so ...
It's Tuesday again and time for another new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog Thank you to everyone who celebrated our First Birthday last week ... we really appreciate your support and the winners will all be announced soon ...
This weeks' challenge is brought to us by Linda ... My Happy Place ... who has just become a Grandma to the beautiful baby Miles ... Congratulations Linda! Please pop over to her blog to see pictures of Miles and leave her some love ...
Linda's challenge for us this week is to create a Gate Fold card ... It's been ages since I did one of these and if you are a little unsure about doing them ... there are some wonderful tutorials on the web ...
I chose to use some digital papers from Websters Pages (Lullaby Lane)

and the beautiful butterfly sitting on the rosette is a sticker from the Lullaby Lane sticker collection available at Pixie Dust Paperie ...

the only other things I added was some lace a couple of rhinestones and some stitching

A peek inside shows the same papers ... just ready for you to write or stamp your own sentiment

I apologise that some of the pictures are a little dark or shaded ... whilst I love the sunshine ... it can make it difficult to get some decent shots ...
So now it's over to you ... I am so looking forward to seeing what you talented people can come up with ... every week you turn out amazing creations for the team to admire and drool over ... can't wait to see this weeks' entries ...
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments

Till soon keep safe

Jingle Belles Snowman

Hi there ...
The sun is shining gloriously here and it seems strange to be posting a Christmas card ... but I am doing my best to keep up with Jingle Belles challenge ... and this week they are having a 'cross over' with Betty Bees Buzz  which means that you can link your card up to both blogs ... Lovely Lauren from Jingle Belles is guesting for Betty Bees Buzz ... whilst the very talented June Houck is guesting for Jingle Belles ... (I think I got it right) ...  The challenge this week is to use Die Cuts ... bought, made ... anything goes as long as you use a die cut ...
So this week I got to use one of my Snowman pieces ...

He's one happy snowman don't you think?

I used my Sizzix and a SB die to cut the white label background for Mr. Snowman ... embossed it with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and used blue glitter Stickles on the label and on Mr. Snowman's braces ... I also die cut the snowflake from felt and added more glitter ... the background paper is of course MME glitter paper ... I know ... I'm obsessed!

some little flowers from a Christmas decoration finished it off ... I used the Stickles for the centre of the flowers too ... So there we are card 16 all done and dusted (in glitter.. ha ha) ...
I should mention too that the DT and GD June Houck have once again made fantastic samples for us this week ... hop over and take a look ...

Before I go ... did you notice my little cat on the side bar? ...  remember a good while ago I was cat sitting for my dear friend whilst she was in hospital? Well this kitty looks just like her cat Chucky ... my friend now needs some strong medical treatment and so cyber Chucky and I will be wishing her well everyday and sending love ... The great thing is that this cat actually purrs when you touch her with your cursor and she will also follow your cursor ... try it and see ... ah ... Love it!

Till soon ... have a wonderful day

Miss you ...

Hello sweet blog friends ... I hope you are enjoying your weekend ... My hubby can now drive again and today he took my friend and I to Salford Quays for some retail therapy ... what a lovely day we had ... and maybe because it has been a good day I was able to come home and make a little card for a new challenge ( new to me that is ... ) over at Jay Gee's Nook ...
I was so inspired by the work of the DT and also by this beautiful picture

... that I knew exactly what I wanted to do ... and that's unusual for me ...
I usually just go where my hands take me ... I think it may have been the bicycle ... and the gorgeous bluish ... turquoise colour ... anyway this is my card ...

a mix here of digital text paper from Jen Allyson (Antique prints)  and some of my gorgeous Tim Holtz paper ...
The bicycle ... or rather tricycle ... is a digital stamp from Stacey Marks (Birds blooms and bicycles) ...

The sentiment is computer generated ... I don't know why 'Miss you' ... it just seemed to fit ...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ...

Till soon
