Jingle Belles ... Peace on Earth

This is my second post today ... The challenge over at Jingle Belles Rock finishes in a few hours so I had to  get this done pretty quick! The theme this week is 'Peace on Earth' ... incorporate anything that evokes 'Peace' for you ... I saw this peacefully sleeping baby Jesus whilst trawling the web and decided that was it for me ...

I also think that snow is incredibly peaceful when it falls ... especially at night ... so silently ... (Miss Lauren would disagree with me there ... she would say ... it's like a Ninja ... attacking without warning ... ha ha)

... and card number 40 is done ...

Farewell Majorca ....

Hello ...

I am back on English soil ... and I am glad to be home ... to be in my little craft nest ... Happy to see my son and to wake up with the cat snuggled on my bed

I will miss the sun rising over the bay ...

... Sleepy little harbours like this ...

... Sitting back with a cappuccino watching the world go by 

... and the living statues that sit all day in the heat and fascinate me ...

I didn't get a chance to post this Tag It passed to me by sweet June Lanum ... before my trip

Thank you so much June ... And now I think I have to tell 10 things about me ... I'm not good at this

1. I am a "Scouser" the only one of my family born and bred in Liverpool ... 
2. My parents and brothers are all Londoners
3. My Grandparents were French and Swiss
4. I have been married twice and have 1 beautiful son from my first marriage
5. I am a home bird ... 
6. I am happy with my own company and never really get bored
7. I have learned that I am a strong woman ... self sufficient and capable
8. I treasure my friendships and never forget a kindness
9. I adore animals and nature
10. I strive everyday to be a better person ...

3D at City Crafter

Hi there ...

I hope you are well and looking forward to this weeks' challenge at City Crafter ... which is brought to us by lovely Linda Robinson ... who wants us to go 3D! 

You can make any project you want as long as it is 3D ... The possibilities are endless ... what about a box?... a bag? ... a house?... a frame? ... If you are looking for ideas ... our sponsor this week is Adela Rossol "Creations By AR" who makes the sweetest templates and the DT all got to use one this week ...

I confess I already own a couple of Adela's templates but I think this one has to be one of my favourites ... 

Just look at those cute hanging baskets! 

You can use these for Halloween ... Christmas ...  as gift bags ... all manner of things ... 

I made my baskets two sizes ...  

 I had a problem with my printer which meant I had to open the PDF file in photoshop to print it ... However, this meant that I could also save it as a PNG file (transparency) and playing around I could even enlarge it but still use  A4 cardstock ... Cardstock in the USA is slightly smaller than ours here in the UK ... 

So I printed my cardstock first and added graphics and then just hand cut these ... So simple! and fun to decorate ... And you'll be amazed just how much these can hold!

I can see I will be using this template over and over again ... I love it!

Majorca ...

 Here I am on holiday and back home in the UK the weather is glorious!

So ... I don't have much to share with you just a few photo's taken on my husbands fancy phone ... I have to wait till I get home to download the many others ... 

My brother is a keen photographer and has never been to the island so wants to see as much as he can ...  it's been quite hectic ...  the first day we set off for Palma ... to show them the magnificent cathedral 

With my SIl in the grounds of the cathedral ... can you see the horse drawn carriages behind us? and the beautiful marigolds ...

With my husband ...

The next day it was on to Santa Ponca ... of course I had to introduce my family to my tree ... the one that has sheltered me many times from the heat whilst waiting for the transport 

... And the next day we took the beautiful wooden train through the mountains to Soller ... where an equally beautiful tram took us to the port ...

Do you know these carriages came all the way from San Francisco? And this train begins it's journey in Palma ... actually running on tracks in the road along side the traffic ... it's a wonderful journey back in time ... the slogan the company use is "Our trains don't run ... they walk" and they are right ... an hour trip through mountains and orange groves ... 

You can tell that my brother loved this trip

My image and sentiment are digital from Pink Petticoat  ... I 'painted' the image in photoshop ... and those tiny little buttons were sent to me by Kirsty many moons ago ...
