Pink Christmas

Christmas is drawing ever nearer ... And at Jingle Belles this week the prompt is
Pink Christmas ... Being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month

For this challenge I re-aquainted myself with some old friends that have long been neglected... my embossing powder and heat tool ... to make a clean and simple card

I stamped the baubles from an Urban Stamps kit onto pink MME paper and then embossed with silver embossing powder

That centre heart was a scrap from another project ... waste not want not ...

Just a little lace, a few pearls, pink bows and silver thread ... and all done!
Now I have the hang of embossing again ... I may just do more

I hope you are having a good day ...
Till soon

Beautiful Autumn ...

This has to be one of the most prettiest times of the year don't you think?
When the trees are an abundance of yellows, reds, coppers and gold
Like this weeks' inspiration photo at Papercraft Star

I still have the most pretty yellow roses in bloom too ... I guess nature is having a hard time deciding what season it is with our unpredictable weather.

The challenge this week at Papercraft Star is "Fall Colours"
If you hop over to the blog ... you will notice that we have changed things up a bit too ... We like to keep up with things and hope that you will be encouraged to join us each week regardless of your style...

So on to my card this week ....

Pretty autumnal leaves with a glittered Prima flower

That lovely leaf ribbon came from my friend Lauren

... and the gorgeous postcard is a freebie from Lilac & Lavender

Don't forget to check out the projects from the rest of our team ... and note that you also have an extra day to link up your projects ...

Have a beautiful Autumn / Fall day

Inspire

Hello there ...

Sometimes I think we all need to be inspired in our lives ... not just for creativity ... for our well being, for the future and for the earth we live on ...
As I am the host this week at City Crafter the challenge I have set for you to is to "Be Inspired"
Create a card or project that has an inspiring quote or verse
This can be a Bible verse, an uplifting quote or even a thought provoking verse to inspire us

I love this quote ... it is a stamp that my lovely friend Keren gave me ...

That lovely paper with the roses on is a beautiful free digital from Lilac and Lavender ... in fact all the papers are digital ... even the butterflies

This week we have the talented Violet Cloudlet  guest designing for us ... Violet won our challenge week 126 ... and her blog is well worth a visit.

I hope you will take a moment to visit the City Crafter blog and be inspired by the work from the rest of the team ... Our winner this week will also have a Guest Design spot with us ...

I'm keeping this post short as I have a lunch date ... I hope you have a beautiful day whatever you have planned

Keep safe and thanks so much for your visit

Relaxing? No chance

Hello there!
I should have known when I wrote on my last post that I was looking foward to a relaxing weekend ... that things would change ...
We had to go into Manchester on Saturday ... and yesterday I had visitors all day and in the evening ...  I even missed WCMD!

This morning I got together with my lovely talented blog friend Keren ... It was so lovely to catch up and especially to hear how her new job went ... She's demonstrating her creative talent at Abakhan here in Liverpool!

Time goes so fast when you are enjoying company ... and the time flew by as we chatted ... so now I have a lot of catching up to do ... But I managed to make a card for my friend Ella who has her birthday this week ... The 'girls' are catching up for lunch tomorrow to celebrate

I used some lovely paper from Astrid ... You all know I love them!
and I don't think she will mind ... but this particular paper had Happy Valentine's on ... so I altered it slightly to take that out

Of course I used my 'go to' stamps from WaltzingMouse and a border edge cut on my Cameo
A little lace from the Ribbon Girl ...

Some scrap papers from Prima ... and a few embellies from my supplies ... probably the quickest card I ever made! (shows what a visit from a friend can do)

I need to make a gift box now ... I'll share with you later in the week ...

Have a lovely day and thank you for stopping by ...
I'll be back tomorrow for the new challenge at City Crafter
Till soon

Just a Box

Hello sweet friends
I hope you've had a good week ... Can't believe it's friday already!
I had a busy night at Thursday club last night and I'm looking forward to having a relaxing weekend ...

I've been working away on DT projects so all I have to share today is a box I made for This wedding card which a friend of mine has bought

It's quite hard to get a good photo of this ... I used the lovely digital paper from Astrid and slightly change the opacity just so it was a soft pattern ... then printed it directly onto my card stock

Though I made this box by hand (easy enough) I did cut the 'congrats' on the Cameo and backed it with silver holographic paper

... added some rhinestones and a satin silver grey bow
Ok ... I'm just going to pay my daily visit to your blogs then I'm off to deliver this box and card.

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for visiting me and leaving me such encouraging comments I really do appreciate it

Till soon

Papercraft Star Challenge

Hi there!
Gosh we are having really awful weather here in the UK ... the best place to be is in my craft room!

Today is the start of another challenge at Papercraft Star where the theme is
"Anything Goes"
I'm the featured designer this week using digitals from our sponsor THATB ...
These are the sheets I used

... and this is my card

I love that stamp (can't you tell) and with those images it just seems right!

I printed one of the frames and then I printed those balloon images which I mat and layered onto black cardstock ...

I deliberately stamped over the images as I wanted this to look like a postcard ...
I reckon I could do a few of these and make up a set of notelets ...

We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week  ... be sure to visit the blog and check out the projects from the rest of the DT wont you ...

Wishing you a lovely day
