White on White

The challenge this week at Papercraft Star is white on white
Jan has picked this lovely inspiration photo for you ...

White on white is something I struggle with ... I mean there are so many different shades of white which in itself can be a challenge ... My blogs friend Sasha and Diane always make the most stunning white on white cards ... Nevertheless ... I managed to come up with a card which is for my friends Wedding Anniversary ... white on white with a little touch of cream ... like the photo

Believe it or not ... I bought those roses as white ... against the card they look cream

I cut the borders and the fern from Memory Box dies and used a Tim Holtz embossing folder
for the background

I am really looking forward to seeing what the other ladies on the DT have come up with and I would love to see your creations too so won't you join us this week?

Till soon be safe

Winter Blues

Good morning to you all
I hope you are having a good week so far ...
We've had a little snow - not enough to stick and it's been quite cold and dull ...
It's this time of year after Christmas and New Year have gone, that I long for Spring to come .. I call it The Winter Blues which is the challenge I have come up with for City Crafter this week where I am hosting.
This week we want to see a winter project that must include the colour Blue
Here is your inspiration photo

Courtesy of Printshop For Mac

I saw a tutorial by Nancy Riley on a sponging project which I wanted to try ... although my version is not as good as hers I really like the result ...

I incorporated a die cut by Memory Box in my little winter scene and lots of glitter for the glistening snow

There is only one ink pad used for this ... just a little blue one I had by versa mark and I found that little tree stamp hidden in my box of wooden stamps ...

Our Guest designer this week at City Crafter is our winner from Week 134 Malgorzata Dudzinska ( Margot) ... A very talented lady ... her blog is well worth a visit. This week's winner will also be offered a Guest spot at CCCB ... so please come and join us ... I'd love to see your interpretation of Winter Blues ...

Have a lovely day and stay warm

Wonderful!

... That's how my evening was last night
I had a wonderful birthday shared with old friends and family ...We laughed over old times ... Ate delicious food ... Drank a little too much and I didn't want the evening to end.

Today I managed to get some craft time in and have a little card to share with you ... I promised myself that from now on I need to use something from my "bits" box on everything I create ... you know the box I mean ... the one that holds all your bits of unused paper ... the dies cuts you didn't use ... the stamping you were trying out etc.,
So the cards that I will be sharing in the future will have  should have ... something from that ever full box ...

This is a card I made for a friends hubby who I discovered has his birthday on the same day as me ... Ok, so it will be late ... but it will also be a surprise as he certainly wont be expecting it

Everything I used here ... (with the exception of that sweet metal butterfly - a gift from my friend Linda) was from my "bits" box ...

Now I have quite a lot of  "Thank You" cards to make ... my family and friends have been so generous with their cards and gifts

I'll be back with you soon ...

Have a beautiful day/evening and thanks for stopping by

Papercraft Star 127

Here I am back again ...
Today starts a new challenge at Papercraft Star where we have a photo inspiration challenge for you

Strangely I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this challenge and that never happens!
And ... I did something I don't usually so ... sponging with inks ... I surprised myself at the result

I used two inks and then popped my paper into my printer and used a HA digital stamp on top
The sentiment is also a digital from Pink Petticoat

I made a felt rose using a Sizzix die and cut some leaves on the Cameo

I wonder how this photo will speak to you? I'd love to see what you come up with ... Hop on over to the Blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with and be inspired to join us this week.

Till soon ... be safe

City Crafter Week 141

Good Morning!
I hope you are having a good week so far ...
Today at City Crafter Linda is our host and she has chosen a lovely inspiration photo for the theme of Book Paper ...

For the challenge you need to use book paper somewhere on your project ...

Last week we had such beautiful entries to our challenge ... We have a very fair system when it comes to choosing a winner ... But more and more I am finding it so very hard to pick from all your gorgeous entries...

So here's what I came up with for this challenge

I loved the colours in the inspiration photo so I stamped straight onto a piece of book paper and added some long forgotten glitter stickers as well and covered a chipboard frame with paper and glitter

I sent this to my sweet blog friend Cindy who celebrated her birthday last week ... I hope she got it

Our Guest Designer this week is the talented and lovely Linda B ... I am looking forward to seeing her beautiful creation along with those from the rest of the team.
This weeks winner will also have a Guest Design spot here at CCCB so why not join us? We'd love to see what you come up with ...

I hope your day is wonderful ... Thanks for stopping by
