Shadowed Hello

Gosh where did the week go??
I can hardly believe it's friday already ...

I had a visit from my brother and SIl on Wednesday -  they brought my adorable great nephew Ross ... I have missed him so much ...
He decided to have his lunch in the garden ... a sort of picnic ... The thing is the weather was so cold! He insisted his Granddad joined him ... Well, my brother didn't last long out there ... he was going blue! So I came up with a little outdoor game for Ross ... I gave him an old computer chair ... the sort with wheels on - and he spent hours pushing plant pots around ... Then of course I had to push him around - or should I say run him around ... like a fair ride! I can promise you I slept well that night ...

I have a card to share using the PTI "hello" die that I love

This time I shadowed it by cutting it twice ... once in black and once in green DP then layered them slightly offsetting the green one ... it just gives it a more 3D effect

The black dottie Washi tape you can see is actually from Ikea ... It's meant for packaging but it looks, feels and works just the same as Washi tape and comes in various colours and styles

Have you plans for the weekend? There is no football tomorrow for DH so we are probably going to go to Nantwich ... stopping in a country pub for lunch ... it will be indoors this time though ...

Whatever your plans are have a great weekend ... stay safe and thanks for stopping by

En Francais Album

Good Morning!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments ... I'm so happy that you liked my creations for CCCB this week ...  I am back to share the pages of the album using the lovely En Francais paper by Prima and the goods supplied by Craftsite

The front cover is embellished with a cut out from the paper, a rose and a sparkly stone ... Beneath the cut out I secured some silver thread which wraps around the pearl brad on the right to hold the album closed

Inside cover and page 1

There are no photos as yet and the embellishments are kept simple using the papers and cut out bits of the papers so that the album closes easily
Pages 2 and 3 ...
As you can see each page is made from card and covered with papers ... and I have cut them with a pocket so that maybe a tag or memorabilia can be slid inside

Pages 4 and 5

(Please click to see enlarged pictures)

Pages 6 and 7

Pages 7 and 8

Pages 9 and 10

 Page 11 and inside back

Back cover

I really hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I did making it ... Don't forget that these papers can be bought at the online Craftsite (UK) store

Before I finish ... For those of you who may be like me ... computer technology challenged and without help ...
When I wanted to add a supply list at the end of my post ... I though that I could do this through blogger ... Wrong!! After many hours of frustration I finally realised that to do this you need to register with Inlinkz ... Then follow the tutorial ... Simple!
I really wish I had known this and not wasted several hours 'Googling" Just thought you may like to know this and save you from the same frustration.

Thanks so much for your visit ... Have a lovely day

Papercraft Star

Hello!
Well it's still very cold here ... I guess we should just be grateful for the longer days now the clocks have gone forward ...
At least there are flowers around ... daffodils, primroses and crocus ... makes it look more cheerful and we have sunshine

This weeks challenge at Papercraft Star is all about seeds

For my project I used my Woodware stamp called "Going To seed" and a quote that I found on the internet

I stamped in Versamark and then embossed with black embossing powder and added a few little sparkly stones

You can just see a little dottie Washi Tape on the top and the green border and tassels are cut using a Spellbinders die
the quote I did on my computer using two different fonts and colours

The designers at Papercraft Star also have some lovely creations to share ... please hop over and take a look ... and why not join us this week ... We'd love to see what you come up with

Till soon

City Crafter Special Challenge

Hello and good morning to you all ...
I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend ...

Are you ready for a Special challenge at City Crafter
This week we will be sharing projects using goods kindly supplied by Madeleine at

A friendly UK based online craft store for all your needs which you can visit by clicking Here

This week each of our 4 Designers have chosen a product they would like you to use on your project ...
My product is Pearls

To qualify you need only choose One of the products but of course you can use 2,3 or all 4 if you wish
To see what the other designers have chosen and for full details ... you need to visit the CCCB blog ... And there is a mystery prize up for grabs this week too!

Ok, on to my projects

Using the products supplied by Craftsite - which I will list at the end of my post ... I've made a handbag card, an album and a book box to hold the album ... all papers are En Francais by Prima

First up is my handbag card which I just cut free hand and used a Sizzix circle die for the handle and a PTI die for the butterfly

The only things added from my stash are the leaves cut from burlap ... the little metal handle holders (from an old handbag) and a mobile phone charm - I also did some stitching - you can click to enlarge the photo

Stickles and pearls on the butterfly and a strip of the pearl flourish on the bottom of the 'bag'

This is the book box to hold my album ... again just cut free hand and covered in the lovely Prima papers ... I also cut pieces from the papers like those little tickets to use as embellishments

I added liquid pearls to the pretty Prima En Francais flower stamp

The box is decorated inside and out

and here is the front of the album

The card stock ribbon and lace are from my stash as is the pearl brad and diamante but everything else in and on this album come from Craftsite

There are lots of pages in the album ... far too many to show today

So if you would like to see more ... please come back on Thursday when I will share each individual page for you ...

Here's a link to the rest of the Designer's blogs so you can check out their lovely creations

And don't forget to go and visit the Craftsite store and browse the lovely goods...
With grateful thanks to Madeleine

Happy Easter

Hello ...
Are you all ready for Easter?

I just had to make a little something for a sweet little girl who lives next door ...

I used a template from Adela which you can find Here ... to make a little bag ... It's one I've had for a long time ... long before I had a cutting machine but it's simple enough to cut by hand

I printed my card stock first with a lovely free digital paper by the talented Astrid Here and just added some lace, ribbon, butterfly and a tag ...

The handle is craft wire covered with yellow paper raffia ... of course the little bag is full of chocolates ... I actually heard them say on the radio yesterday that people who eat chocolate regularly ... live longer than those who don't! They were praising the properties of chocolate ... sounds good to me!

I also wanted to thank you all for your lovely comments ... and for sharing your stories about your own children giving up their dummies, pacifiers etc., they made me smile!

Have a blessed Easter

Till soon

Easter Bunny

It's nearly time for the Easter bunny to come and visit ... It reminds me that when my son was very little he loved his dummy - I think the American term is pacifier ... Anyway he had a whole bunch of them but decided he would leave them out for the Easter bunny and in return he would get Easter Eggs ... All went well until Easter night when he screamed for his dummies back ... I can remember hunting everywhere in the early hours trying to find one Lol!

Well this weeks' challenge at Papercraft Star is Easter ... We want to see your Easter projects
I had fun making this card ...

Pretty paper from Pink Petticoat and letter stickers by K & co which I've had for years!
This is the other half of the egg I used on my tag yesterday

Painted, glittered and adorned with flowers ...
Want to see the inside?

There's the Easter bunny!

I hope you are going to share your Easter projects with us at Papercraft Star ... don't forget to check out the lovely projects from the rest of our team ...

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges

Marks Finest Papers FOSTV Challenge ... Easter Card/ Bunny
Created with Love Challenge ... Easter - All things that Glitter (my egg)
