Aqua Birthday Card

Hello ...
As I'm away next week I am trying to keep on top of upcoming DT projects, leaving comments and making cards for friends birthdays ...
I think I've got it all covered ... Just some post to schedule ...

Here's a birthday card for one of my friends using the sweet simple sketch from

I'm also entering this into the challenge at
Because I think this sentiment is really lovely

It's from PTI as is the paper and the die that I used to cute that little note

The aqua check is Washi tape from Here and the embossed CS is from my scraps
I also used a few Rubons and some trims from my supplies

My DH has had a touch of 'man flu' ... you all know what that means ... I am desperately trying not to catch any bugs ... I just know he will be fine come the day we leave ... please God I am too!

Thanks so much for visiting me and leaving me your sweet comments ...
Have a beautiful day

Papercraft Star ... Use A Stamp

Hello and good morning!
How are things with you? Good I hope ...

This week's challenge at Papercraft Star is simply to use a stamp

Wouldn't I just love to be as neat and tidy as the person that has that stamp cupboard! My storage system seems to change as much as my style ...

My card this week uses the pretty Poppy stamp from Indigo Blu ... I made it for a friend of mine who likes something a little different ...

She loves textures and this was right up her street

Torn corrugated card and paint ... a touch of lace and of course that lovely poppy ... stamped onto red DP, embossed and layered with some liquid pearls thrown in

The fabric tape is by Papermania and see that little ladybird? Well that started life as a fancy drawing pin ...

The designers at Papercraft Star have some lovely creations to inspire you so don't forget to take a peek ...
I hope you'll join us this week and get inky!

Have a beautiful day ... Thanks so much for visiting me and for taking the time to leave such lovely comments ... I really appreciate it ...

City Crafter - Bitter sweet

Hello ... Thanks so much for stopping by ...
This is a very Special week for City Crafter Challenge Blog and it is bitter sweet

Today we are celebrating City Crafter's 3rd Birthday!

We also have a new member on the design team ... Wendy! You all know she has been guest designing for us for a while now and we are thrilled that she is joining the team! Welcome Wendy!

Sadly it that means that we are losing our lovely Linda Robinson ...
Linda is off to pursue a lifelong dream of that and her "honey" which is to hit the road and make her trailer her home at least for the next year ... We are really going to miss her ...
"My dear sweet friend I wish you all the happiness in the world ... stay safe ... much love..."

Now the challenge this week also includes a blog hop ... this is the order of the hop

Ros (me)

It is very important that you follow the order ... Why? because this week we have 7 prizes to give away!
In each one of our challenge posts ... there will be a word highlighted - 5 words in total and put together in the correct order they will make a sentence ... email the sentence to CCCB and Kirsty will pick a winner who will receive a prize ...

Each designer will also be giving a prize away to someone picked from those who leave a comment on their blog
And finally there is a prize for the challenge winner!

Ok ... onto the challenge ... which is to Make A Birthday Card

Can you believe we are celebrating 3 years??
I am so lucky to be a part of this team and this is my card ...

It's going to a blog friend who also celebrates her birthday this week

I used Aida fabric to make a flower and also to set my washi tape butterfly on

I just love these colours
And here is my give away  ...

Just leave me a comment and I will pick a winner at the end of the challenge

Don't forget to follow the blog hop starting at CCCB

Good Luck!!

See you tomorrow

Busy Weekend and More to Come

Hello there ...

I've had such a busy weekend so I've not been able to create anything in the last few days ...
On Saturday we drove off into the countryside for a light lunch overlooking the beautiful fields filled with sweet baby lambs ...
It's been a hard time for for the farmers coping with the cold weather and snow ... but the sun was shining on Saturday even though snow still lay on the ground in parts ...
We drove into Nantwich ... such a pretty little place ...where we browsed the shops for awhile...  the canals were lined with barges and the sun brought just about everyone out ... Then we headed for home but as we were driving along I spotted a beautiful horse with her new "baby' ... I had to stop ...

Aren't they just the sweetest!

I don't like having my photo taken but my DH took this ... me at 60! (no jokes about the old nag thank you!)

Yesterday we went to lunch with my brother and SIL and I got to see little Sophia ... who is not so little anymore ...

What a joy to see both Ross and Sophia in the same week

My other good news is that next Sunday DH and I will be taking a little break on the Island of Majorca again ... We're really looking forward to some warm weather ...

I'll be back tomorrow for another challenge at City Crafter ... you don't want to miss this week - we  have something really Special lined up for you!

Have a beautiful day

Till soon

Shadowed Hello

Gosh where did the week go??
I can hardly believe it's friday already ...

I had a visit from my brother and SIl on Wednesday -  they brought my adorable great nephew Ross ... I have missed him so much ...
He decided to have his lunch in the garden ... a sort of picnic ... The thing is the weather was so cold! He insisted his Granddad joined him ... Well, my brother didn't last long out there ... he was going blue! So I came up with a little outdoor game for Ross ... I gave him an old computer chair ... the sort with wheels on - and he spent hours pushing plant pots around ... Then of course I had to push him around - or should I say run him around ... like a fair ride! I can promise you I slept well that night ...

I have a card to share using the PTI "hello" die that I love

This time I shadowed it by cutting it twice ... once in black and once in green DP then layered them slightly offsetting the green one ... it just gives it a more 3D effect

The black dottie Washi tape you can see is actually from Ikea ... It's meant for packaging but it looks, feels and works just the same as Washi tape and comes in various colours and styles

Have you plans for the weekend? There is no football tomorrow for DH so we are probably going to go to Nantwich ... stopping in a country pub for lunch ... it will be indoors this time though ...

Whatever your plans are have a great weekend ... stay safe and thanks for stopping by

En Francais Album

Good Morning!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments ... I'm so happy that you liked my creations for CCCB this week ...  I am back to share the pages of the album using the lovely En Francais paper by Prima and the goods supplied by Craftsite

The front cover is embellished with a cut out from the paper, a rose and a sparkly stone ... Beneath the cut out I secured some silver thread which wraps around the pearl brad on the right to hold the album closed

Inside cover and page 1

There are no photos as yet and the embellishments are kept simple using the papers and cut out bits of the papers so that the album closes easily
Pages 2 and 3 ...
As you can see each page is made from card and covered with papers ... and I have cut them with a pocket so that maybe a tag or memorabilia can be slid inside

Pages 4 and 5

(Please click to see enlarged pictures)

Pages 6 and 7

Pages 7 and 8

Pages 9 and 10

 Page 11 and inside back

Back cover

I really hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I did making it ... Don't forget that these papers can be bought at the online Craftsite (UK) store

Before I finish ... For those of you who may be like me ... computer technology challenged and without help ...
When I wanted to add a supply list at the end of my post ... I though that I could do this through blogger ... Wrong!! After many hours of frustration I finally realised that to do this you need to register with Inlinkz ... Then follow the tutorial ... Simple!
I really wish I had known this and not wasted several hours 'Googling" Just thought you may like to know this and save you from the same frustration.

Thanks so much for your visit ... Have a lovely day
