Papercraft Star Challenge

Hello ...
It's a good job I got a few of my DT projects done before I went away ... I am really struggling with coming up with something for the club this week ... my creativity seems to have left me (sigh)...

At Papercraft Star today we have a photo inspiration challenge and I had no problem when I saw this lovely photo

I was smitten with the colours, the soft coloured flowers and of course the beautiful script cushion
This is my interpretation

I love working with neutrals and my DP is a paper from Melissa Frances
I stamped some script onto a similar coloured piece of card and distressed the edges

... added some Broderie Anglaise trim and a sparkly button and made a little posy of roses to add to my ribbon and twine

I really love seeing how people interpret photos in different way ...
At Papercraft Star we are  looking forward to seeing your interpretation so please come and join us this week ... Don't forget to visit the blog and check out the lovely projects from the rest of our designers ...

Thanks so much for visiting me today

Till soon

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining

Good morning!

Having waded through a mountain of laundry ... restocked the fridge and replenished the cat food supplies ... I am ready for another holiday Lol!

Today I am hosting the challenge at City Crafter and I have given you a sort of double challenge

Someone once reminded me when I was going through some tough times that  "Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining"... Now I always try to look for that silver lining and this card has been in my head for a long time

So I am asking that you use the colours shown

And include a Cloud or Clouds on your project ...

I have no doubt that you can once again Wow us with your beautiful creations ...

Here's my card ... the silver lining is that beautiful flowers grow from the rainstorms

I cut clouds using the PTI cloud die in both silver card, DP and card covered in blue striped Washi tape

The sentiment is computer generated and the stitching is done with silver thread too ... The pink stripe is also Washi tape

The raindrops are made using Glossy Accents and the pretty 'pink' dandelions are a digital stamp from Hero Arts ... I altered the colour in photoshop

I'm sending this to someone I know has been going through a tough time too ...

We have Bligu Guest Designing for us this week ... She is such a talented lady and won our challenge in week 149 ... Please take a minute to visit her blog ... you will love her creations

Don't forget to visit CCCB to see what the other designers have come up with and this week we are offering a GD spot to the winner too ...

I'll be back tomorrow ...

Take care

Starlight Express

Hi there!

I'm back in the UK ... I arrived late last night and I am up to my eyes in laundry!
I need to get the housework out of the way so that I can concentrate on catching up with craft work ... It's my turn to come up with a project at Thursday club too this week and I have a few DT projects to get done ... Ah to be home!

So whilst I sip my coffee take a look at what was waiting for me

My new Blog book ... I have 4 now and I still get excited when I see them

Some new stamps to play with ...

... and a surprise gift from my lovely friend Jan
Thank You Jan!

So all I need is my mojo back ...

I did make this card before I left though ...
Starlight Express

The lovely image is from The Graphics Fairy and I framed it with the negative of a die I used Here

Together with some scrap papers, memory box dies and PTI dies

I shadowed the 'Birthday' die again which gives it a raised texture

I'm linking this to Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy

Ok ... I have to get on ... Thanks so much for stopping by - I'll be back tomorrow - I'm hosting the new challenge at City Crafter this week ...

Till then have a beautiful day

Birdie Birthday

Good morning!

Here in Majorca it's just after 8.20am .. and the sun is hiding this morning ... it was quite chilly on the balcony ... hopefully it will warm up soon.
I'm just getting re-aquainted with having some heat on me and it feels good...

I have a card to share which I made last week ... It's a birthday card for a friend

I used the 'birthday' die from PTI together with another of those pretty K&Co images

The papers are from my scraps and the flowers are from my supplies ... the leaves I punched and coloured with distress ink

Ok the sun has now put in an appearance and visiting Palma is on my list today ...
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing

Thanks for visiting me today...

Till soon

It's "Time" for Papercraft Star

Hello from Majorca ... (wish you were here lol)!
Time goes really fast when you are enjoying yourself - my week here will be over before I know it

Isn't this just a fabulous inspiration photo - picked for us by Jan for this weeks' challenge at
Papercraft Star - Clock or Watch

Fortunately for me ... I recently bought the PTI "Hands of Time" stamp set together with the co - orinating dies - I also had a special birthday card to make for a friend who celebrates her 50th next week
WARNING ... there are lots of photos

My card sits in a pocket/box which I just cut by hand ... this will also store a gift card

The papers are Papermania ... Vintage Notes collection - you maybe able to spot the stamping on the pink paper which is done with Versamark and covered with perfect pearls ... it is quite shimmery ... I  used a Sizzix die to cut the scalloped circle that the clock face sit on

The clock hands are cut from silver Mirri card and the numbers were done on my Cameo and cut from vinyl

Some silver embossing, liquid pearls, pearl brad, pearl flourish, tulle and flowers with a sweet charm and some computer generated text complete my card

And a little look at the box ...

The dots were from the off cuts of the clock face die and I hand cut some triangles to make a banner

I'm looking forward to seeing the creations from the rest of the Designers ... and the team is looking forward to seeing your creations so please come and join us this week ...

Enjoy your day ... Thanks so much for stopping by
