Bicycles ...

Hello and good morning ...

It's slowly turning to Autumn here ... some days are bright and sunny ... but the coolness is definitely creeping in ...

Today at City Crafter we have our lovely Kirsty hosting for us with a fabulous challenge called
Daisy Daisy ... ( ... a bicycle made for two)
Are you humming the song? I bet you are!

The challenge is to make a card or project that includes a bicycle ...

I wanted to create something that looks like those painted walls you often see on buildings so I used a background paper for the wall and digitally added the window frames and the French bicycle image

I pulled out some old rub-ons for the vines and flowers

This week we have our winner from Week 165 Raluca Vezeteu  Guesting for us ... I'm sure she would love it if you visited her blog and said "Hello"

And Kirsty is also offering a prize for the winner of this weeks' challenge ...

So we would love for you to join us and link up your entries ...

Take a look at the projects from the rest of the Design Team Here

Thanks so much for stopping by

Till soon

Bubbles .....

Hello there!

Sunday mornings are for taking things easy huh? Maybe stay a little longer in bed ... maybe eating breakfast out ... or relaxing with a coffee ...

At Our Beautiful World ... the prompt this week is
Bubbles
Boy I struggled with this one ...
I don't do bubble baths ... I have no young ones to have them blow bubbles for me to photograph ... I didn't think the kitchen sink full of soapy bubbles looked very good on camera ....

Sooooo, I decided to abandon it for awhile and grab a cup of my favourite Kenco Latte ... stared at the cup for a moment and there they were! BUBBLES!!

Frothy coffee bubbles!!

...  Later I am going out to treat myself to one of my favourites

More frothy coffee bubbles ...

Yep, coffee can be a life saver ... doncha think?

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's photos this week and I am really REALLY thrilled with all of you who link up to
Oh! to see your part of the globe, your beaches, your gardens your beautiful countries and memories ... I feel like I have been everywhere!
Thank You!

If you hop over to the blog you will see that we also have a Guest Star this week ...

Have a beautiful day

My Home Town

Hello ...

It's a cold and wet September day here today and I thought I'd share some photos with you that my brother has taken of our Liverpool Water Front
... As it happens I live on the Liverpool side of the river Mersey whilst my brother lives on the other side (The Wirral) ... so these first two shots were taken looking across from his side of the river

I just love our waterfront when it's lit up like that ... The building with the clock is the Liver Building (pronounced Lie ... ver) with the 2 liver birds on top

And you know the Beatles song ... Ferry across the Mersey? This is it

Everything looks a lot differently from when the Beatles wrote that song ... but the ferry still remains ...
See that tall kind of layered building far right? That's where I worked for many years until I had my son ...
It was opened by Princess Alexandra in 1976 - I presented her with a bouquet and we had a little chat too!

These shots are the Liverpool Eye ... the land mark ferris wheel

In the background is the old dockland ... all refurbished and now beautiful apartments

To the left is the new Echo Arena where stars from all over the world hold concerts

I hope you enjoyed seeing a little of my home city ...

My crafting is taking a back seat for awhile as I still have a trapped nerve in my shoulder and just to add to that ... I have a painful infected tooth that will be coming out next week after the course of antibiotics and my eyes have decided to join the party - Blepharitis!
Oh the joys of being 60!

Enjoy your day!

Till soon

Edit ...
As I have quite rightly been reminded ... It was Gerry and The Pacemakers who sang "Ferry Across The Mersey"!!! ...... Seems my brain is also ill .....

Ahoy There!

Good morning!

It's time for a new photo inspiration challenge at Papercraft Star and this is the photo

All those blues and circles somehow made me think 'nautical' - yes that's how my mind works lol!
And anyway I'm trying to lose a few pounds so I dare not think "Cake"

I think I got the colours in there though ...

I wonder what your interpretation will be?

Pink Petticoat was my life saver here ... Ombre Papers and Tiny Seashore sentiments with a little Beach Cottage thrown in ... plus my Sizzix circle dies

The Design Team at Papercraft Star have some more inspiration for you ... click on the link and take a look ...

I hope you'll come and join in the challenge this week

Thanks so much for stopping by ... Have a lovely day!

Blue birds

Hello ...
How's your week going?

I'm just popping in with my DT project for this weeks challenge at
The challenge this week has been picked by our lovely Wendy ...  But you may have noticed her absence lately - unfortunately her computer is broken and we are really missing her...
Fingers crossed she will be back online soon ...

Wendy has asked that this week we
create a project that includes birds or a bird and you must use the colour blue

How gorgeous is this little guy?

I am thrilled to say that we have the Uber talented Tracy MacDonald guesting for us this week ... this lady's talent leaves me in awe! If you haven't already visited her blog ... you really need to! Her colouring skills and her eye for detail never cease to amaze me. Tracy was our Winner in week 163 with This amazing card

So here's my card for this week

A lot of digital going on here this week ... I  printed my CS using Pink Petticoat Ombre range first ... then printed another digital paper which was overlaid with a lovely French image

If you are interested this lovely image came from Etsy Here

I hope you will pull out your blues and birds this week and come and join us ...
Like Tracy the winner will receive a GuestDesign spot with us here at

Don't forget to visit the blog to see the projects from the rest of the team ...

Wishing you a lovely day ...
I'll be back tomorrow with another "blue" creation

Till then keep safe

September Garden

I can't believe we have reached September already ... And we still have sunshine!!

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is of course
September ...

This is the photo I posted on the blog

Do you know what those pretty pinwheels are? Well, they are the seeds left from my clematis after flowering ..
I just think they are so delicate and pretty
and look at the lavender now it is going to seed

How beautiful and fluffy are these lavender seeds?

Nature is so amazing ... a constant change from one glorious moment to another ...

Summer came late to my part of the UK ... But it came - and it's still lingering with us awhile ...
I still have fruit on my tree

and there are still flowers blooming

relishing the sunlight and warmth ... like this spider

Geraniums and chrysanthemums still put on a show

... Whilst some border plants are preparing to don their ruby red winter coats
Like this sedum

Because Summer came late and lingered ... some plants have even been fooled into thinking it's Spring again and have decided to put in a second appearance

Including the Fox and Cubs

This is my September ... what's yours?

We'd love to see how it is in your part of the world ...Link up to
And go visit the blog ... We have a new member on the team - an awesome photographer
Bonita Rose  from Florida ... Be inspired!

Till soon
