Trick or Treat

Hello there!

I hope you are having a good start to your week ...

Tuesday always heralds a new challenge at City Crafter and this week our lovely Kirsty is hosting for us with a Trick or Treat challenge

Create a Halloween card or project
or
Create any project as long as you
Use Orange as your main colour

Over in the UK Halloween is not such a big thing as it is in the States ... We don't send halloween cards to each other and Thursday Club does not recognise it either as it is a church run organisation ...
So for those of you who don't 'do'  Halloween ... you are free to use the 2nd option like I did

I made a notebook ... in pretty autumn colours

I had to add the squirrel ... there's always one up and down in my garden all day!

Our Guest designer at CCCB this week is the talented Lisa (My Paper Tales) who won challenge week 172
Click the link and go check out her lovely creations!

Our winner this week will also be offered a Guest Design spot with us too ... so get out your supplies and come and join us this week and show us either your Halloween creations or something Orange

Thanks for visiting my little blog today ... I'll be back tomorrow

Have a beautiful day!

October

Hello and Happy Sunday to you ...

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is simply October

October has come on tippy toes here in my part of the UK ... probably because we had a late summer ... we are having a late Autumn too ... but the splendour is certainly beginning and it all starts with one leaf ...

... which in a matter of days became a blaze of red and golds

... and when the sunlight hits - it's glorious!

Once the leaves of this ivy fall ... there will be no trace that it was ever there ... until next Spring

Strangely enough the Lobelia is still in full flower

... and this next shot I took on my phone ... it's a local park and you can see just how lush it still is but with a hint of fallen leaves and some trees turning colour in the background

But my final photos are of a little bug I found outside ... and if he isn't dressed for Autumn - well I don't know what is!

I've no idea what he is ... but he is well camouflaged!

... Kinda looks like he should be on the X Factor

I'm really enjoying seeing all the photos you lovely bloggers are sharing with us at
Can't wait to see your October shots this week

Have a beautiful Sunday

My Sweet Little Cub

Hi there ...

If you follow my blog you will know just how much I adore my great nephew Ross ... born with moebius syndrome, he's faced a lot of challenges in his young life ... including losing his daddy to a brain tumour the morning after his 3rd birthday ...
He's a fighter this little boy ... bright as a button and he has my heart....

A while ago he joined the Cub Scouts  and last week he went on an adventure trip to the beautiful heart of Snowdonia Wales with his group.
His Granddad, my brother, drove over at the crack of dawn to be with him and ensure all went well ...
Fortunately we were able to get some photos and I made a little boxed album to send to his Mum ...

I used a whole host of papers, stamps and embellishments for this ... I'm used to doing girlie albums so a boy one was quite a challenge

That's my little guy ... far right

A long hike with Grandad by his side ...

Then a lunch break ...

Time to relax before the inauguration...

... then the scary stuff begins!

Can you see just how high up my little guy is?

It's just another challenge ...

I'm sure his Daddy was looking down from heaven and smiling with pride...

I prefer to keep my feet on the ground ... and I had just as much fun making this album as I'm sure Ross and his Granddad had on their adventure

I hope you are having a lovely day ... enjoy your weekend

Till soon

It's a Gift

Ok ... so if any of you logged on early ... I put up the wrong post for CCCB this morning ...
So sorry .... Please pretend that you never saw it ... till next week Lol!

So Happy October to you all!

The challenge this week at City Crafter has been set by our lovely Kirsty as we are still without our little Dutch girl Wendy

The challenge is to make a matching card and gift

This gorgeous photo really inspired me ... You all know I love the postal theme

So it had to be a postal themed card and Post It note holder

I love this black script Washi Tape from Ebay ... perfect for the theme I was going for and the rose is one of my handmade ones

A look at the note holder

Our Guest Designer this week is Gail and I'm sure she would love it if you popped over to her blog and said hello ... just click the link

Our team have some lovely gift sets to inspire you ... go visit the Blog and take a look.
Our winner will also have a Guest Spot with us here at CCCB so what are you waiting for?
Grab your supplies and lets see your card and matching gift ...
Have fun!

Till soon

Together

Happy Sunday!

My DH is off to Spain today ... a golfing trip ... I'm hoping to catch up with an old friend tomorrow and I have lots of craft things to prepare for Thursday club this week so the time will pass quickly ...

Today is the start of a new prompt at

I got to choose the prompt this week and I chose
"Together"

This is the photo I posted on the blog - taken in Gibraltar

The family of apes that live on the rock are a close family ... always together and very cheeky! You have to watch yourself and your possessions
There were lots of Mums with their babies ...

But the photo that made me pick the prompt was one I took here at home ... unfortunately it's quite blurred as I took it quickly from a distance not to scare the "Together" couple - so I apologise for the poor quality

A fun shot from Gibraltar was these two guys ... working Together to create the illusion

And this one I took in Lisbon last year ...

It's the monument of Discoveries ... Prince Henry (The Navigator) stands at the forefront of the ship like monument - a tribute to all the explorers who sailed from here on their 'voyages of discovery'
"Together" the statues of crusaders, monks and other notable people including Vasco De Gama and Magellan stand ... I still remember learning about these people at school but never thought I'd ever visit their land ...

And a final shot I took in Cornwall

Birds of a feather flock Together

Together can be so many things ... I'd love to see what it is to you in your part of the world
Come and  share your photos with us at

And have a lovely Sunday
