Happy Happy Happy

Hello!

I've had the most amazing few days ... I wanted to share with you
I've met some wonderful people through blogging and my love of creating ... On Friday I received some Happy Mail from my lovely Michigan friend Diane (Nellies Nest) - Just look at these beautiful things she sent me

Those flowers are so gorgeous!!

... A stunning handmade card and more things to play with

and look! Stamps! including a fabulous Julie Nutting doll!
Oh Diane Thank You!!
I can't wait to play with all these things and I am so touched by your kindness and I'm so glad we are friends
Happy me!!

But it get's even better ... because on Saturday I finally got to meet one of my blog friends who is here in the UK all the way from Arizona!
The lovely Rebecca (Paper Primrose) and I met in Skipton ... not far from where she is staying
I can honestly say that I had the best time and that the short time we spent together will stay in my heart for a long long time

More beautiful gifts! Stunning stamps and look how pretty that chocolate is wrapped

I would very much like to share a photo of us together, but you know, we chatted so much that the camera didn't come out of my bag! Fortunately Rebecca's partner took a photo ... so I am waiting to get a copy.
I wish I could photograph the Happy inside me ... Rebecca is the most beautiful lady inside and out and I know we will be friends forever

On the way home we we hit the most awful storm ... it was scary ... but then a rainbow appeared

... and the sky began to glow ...

If I could describe how I was feeling inside it would be like this

The warmest glow of pure happiness

"Thank You" to my lovely friends

Till soon

Love .. In Situ

Happy Sunday!

Today is a new prompt at

And this week it has been picked by the lovely Linda Robinson who is guesting with us ...
You may know that Linda has taken a break from the CCCB DT to go travelling with her husband in their RV - But she keeps in touch and regularly updates her blog with her wonderful photos ... She is the most AMAZING photographer ...

The prompt she has chosen for us is

Love

Where do you start with this prompt?  There are so many things to share ... so many people, places, and things I Love ...

I decided to share some things that are in and around my home ... things bought for me by friends I Love ... Like the birds above

Pretty things I {heart}

A frame I put together hangs in my hallway - reminders of family and times that I cherish

A rustic frame that holds a photo of my husband and I on our wedding day

My Love of creating is everywhere ... this heart I made one Christmas ... my husband Loved it so much that it stays up all year - hanging on the inside of our front door

A little shelf that holds more gifts along with one of my creations ... my Love of animals means I can never turn away one in need - hence my friends have bought cat ornaments to represent some of the cats I've tended ... I'd need a huge shelf if I had an ornament for every one!

Then of course I'm surrounded by the shabby vintage things I Love
Like this jug

And my perpetual calendar clock in rusted metal

You could say that "Love is all around" me ...

I'd Love to see what you share with us this week at

Till soon

Mixed Media Challenge ... The Wheel Of Chance

Hello and good morning to you!

I have a project to share which I did for this week's challenge at

This is the lovely colour palette

Some time ago the lovely and Uber talented Miss Mona Pendleton sponsored the challenge at Papercraft Star as well as kindly sending each of the DT the Timeless stamp set and Time Pieces die set designed by her exclusively for My Favorite Things ...

Well, today myself and the rest of the DT at Papercraft Star have been given the opportunity to create a Mixed Media project using Mona's fabulous products, and have them featured up on the blog!

If you follow me you will have seen these stamps and dies frequently on my projects ... I really love them!

For today's challenge I created a wall hanging

I started with a sample tile I picked up in the wood flooring dept of my local DIY store ... My lovely brother cut it into 3 wooden plaques for me to play with

The plaque was first painted and then I went over it with white crackle paint before beginning my layering...
The woodgrain background is paper from the same store and I dabbed white paint over it ...

The clock has been stamped, die cut and then embossed in copper powder - the hands on the cogs (all of which are part of the set) were covered in Vintage Photo distress inks ...

There's more paint on the chequered paper and on my butterflies and the
"Time to be Creative" stamp is also part of the set

I also embossed a little wooden gate and watering can that you can just see peeking out

The burlap is actually made of paper and the Washi Tape was perfect with those little cogs
You can see I had a lot of fun making this ... and I will be using the stamps and dies for a long time to come ... They are so versatile ...
Here's a link to the PCS blog where you can see our original projects using the same stamps and dies... GO visit

to be inspired by all the projects this week

I'm sure Mona and Sue would love to have you play along and I can't wait to see what you create!

Many Thanks to Mona for this opportunity and for her generosity

And thanks to you for stopping by

Just so you know ....

Hello ...

This is just a quick post ... I knew you would want me to let you know ...
She came home!
Gispy ... the roaming cat turned up last night at the front door ... Can you believe it?

Talk about disrupting the household ... My son was so happy he cried ... and he doesn't cry easily ... But poor little Ginger cat ... well he didn't know what to do and ran out in the torrent of rain we were having ...
Eventually he came back in ... Gipsy having been fussed over and fed decided to curl up on my pillow and not much sleep was had.
Suffice to say ... at the crack of dawn she was off again ...

I much prefer dogs!

Till soon

Haunted House

Hello!

The week is flying by once again ... Already it's Wednesday and time for a new Photo Inspiration Challenge at

I love this photo ... such fabulous colours ... and of course there is the cat!
My Gipsy has still not come home ... I think she's found a new home somewhere else - her real name is Minnie - I call her Gispy because she roams so much

Ok, on to my card this week ... My haunted home

I hand cut a card into the shape of a house - I honestly don't remember where the image came from ... it was a digital stored on my computer

The black starry BG that the image is sitting on was done by sponging white ink through the negative left over from some die cut stars

As you can see - I have used the MPD clocks again ... and on friday this week the whole of the Papercraft Star DT have the honour of designing along with Mona and Sue at
A Mixed Media Challenge ... be sure to take a look!

I confess that I am so over Halloween and it hasn't even arrived yet ... but if you are still having fun with your creations ... please link up with us at
The DT have some great examples on the blog for you ... plus there are some suggestions for our photo challenge ... not that I think you will need them with this lovely photo

Thanks for looking in ... Have a beautiful day!
