This week I made a little canvas to send instead of a birthday card to one of my family members who celebrates a birthday shortly

... I opted to use a Bingo card in keeping with the challenge

... which was a freebie on the web ...

I love doing these ... they are like little gifts ... I will probably add a tag before I send it

PTI Make It Monday

Hello!

It's so nice to be back with you today ... With all that's been going on here I've missed the quiet life of blogging ...

I'm hoping for some good news soon regarding my DH ... He has had his MRI scan (no results yet but fingers crossed for a good result) and he also needs to see an ear specialist as he is being treated for Labyrinthitis... Since a child he has been completely deaf in one ear and the other ear has deteriorated badly ... It makes life difficult for both of us ...  But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can come home soon ...

Thank you all for your support, your prayers and kind words ... I can't begin to tell you how much it means to both of us ...

It's been difficult getting back into creating and this week's Make it Monday at PTI by Betsy Veldman was just what I needed to get going ...

It's a technique that I've wanted to try since I saw it up on the Jugs challenge a week or so ago ... I just didn't get the chance till today

The technique is Inlaid Die Cuts ... hop over to PTI and check it out ... 

I think this may be my first Make It Monday entry ever!

I used the clouds die, the Butterfly die and the 'hello' die - all from PTI 

The clouds and Butterfly were stamped using the Bitty Blocks background  from PTI

The 'hello' was cut from a piece of PTI paper from the Everyday Blessing pad ... It's an old set and I've been holding on to every scrap of this!

Before assembling I stamped some images from the Life stamp set using Classic Kraft and Ocean Tides ink ... 

I really love this technique and it feels good to have created something today ...

It's very dull here so I apologies if my photos aren't the best ...

Update

Hello there ...

I'm just popping in with an update and to apologise if I haven't been able to visit your blogs lately ...

My Husband is still in the hospital awaiting an MRI scan ... There's a possibility that he has had some bleeding on the brain ... That needs to be eliminated before he can look to coming home. 

Unfortunately we did miss the wedding ... The hospital were prepared to give him a few hours pass out ... but on the last minute my DH saw sense and realised that it was for the best that he stayed put in hospital ... 

I haven't known if I am coming or going this last week but at least with the wedding over we can now just concentrate on my husband getting well again.

I hope all is well in your world ... I'll be back with you as soon as I can

It's those Cats!

Hello there ...

Phew! What a day I had yesterday ... My DH was taken by ambulance to the hospital - he's been having dizziness etc., and the doctor was concerned it was his heart ....

I spent virtually all day at the hospital and got home around 9pm - Fortunately they don't think he has a heart problem and we are awaiting brain scan results. He's not happy about being kept in but it's for the best. His son gets married on Friday so hopefully he will be fit for that. 

So .... It's Wednesday and another photo inspiration challenge at 

Papercraft Star 

Note we are taking a little break so next week will be our last challenge until December 4th

Just look at those cats! Yeh, I had to go with that ...

I really loved doing this card - I first printed the moon and witch from a picture I downloaded off the internet then did some sponging with my ink pads

The cats and the fence were cut on my Cameo and I used foam dots to give the cats a little dimension ... and drew a few whiskers there too

A few glittery stars just finishes it off ...

Ok I am keeping this post short as I have to call the hospital ...

Happy Happy Happy

Hello!

I've had the most amazing few days ... I wanted to share with you

I've met some wonderful people through blogging and my love of creating ... On Friday I received some Happy Mail from my lovely Michigan friend Diane (Nellies Nest) - Just look at these beautiful things she sent me 

Those flowers are so gorgeous!!

... A stunning handmade card and more things to play with

and look! Stamps! including a fabulous Julie Nutting doll!

I can't wait to play with all these things and I am so touched by your kindness and I'm so glad we are friends

Happy me!!

But it get's even better ... because on Saturday I finally got to meet one of my blog friends who is here in the UK all the way from Arizona!

The lovely Rebecca (Paper Primrose) and I met in Skipton ... not far from where she is staying

I can honestly say that I had the best time and that the short time we spent together will stay in my heart for a long long time

I would very much like to share a photo of us together, but you know, we chatted so much that the camera didn't come out of my bag! Fortunately Rebecca's partner took a photo ... so I am waiting to get a copy.

I wish I could photograph the Happy inside me ... Rebecca is the most beautiful lady inside and out and I know we will be friends forever

On the way home we we hit the most awful storm ... it was scary ... but then a rainbow appeared

... and the sky began to glow ... 

If I could describe how I was feeling inside it would be like this
