Colour Splash

Good morning!

I'm hosting this week's challenge at City Crafter and I thought a

Colour Splash Challenge With a Twist would be fun...

The twist is that you can use any one colour as your Splash
The Rules are ...
Use Black (or Grey) and White as your main colour and choose any ONE colour as your Splash

Here's your inspiration photo

In keeping with the photo I went with Red as my Splash colour and made a set of Thank You cards

I kept them pretty simple using the SU Honeycomb embossing folder and a Memory Box die

... half the set with a grey background and half with a white background

Our Guest Designer this week is Marina - winner of challenge week 193
I'm sure she would be delighted if you hopped over to her blog (My Perfect Life) to say 'hello" and check out her lovely creations

There is a GD spot for our winner this week too ... so come on and link up with us at
We'd love see your Colour Splash creations

Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day

Enjoy Life

Hello ...

I've been busy preparing projects for my Special Needs group ...
Cutting out enough to make 20 Valentine banners ... That's 100 fishtail book pages and 100 hearts ... Then it's onto card stock and embellishments to make their valentine cards ...

I took a little break last night to make a card for the challenge at

I've never entered here before ... but in case you hadn't noticed by my last few cards ... and I'm sure you have lol!  I'm hooked on my new Paint Splat stamp
Perfect to create something for this challenge ...

And really quick ... except for those tiny butterflies which kept trying to fly away

The stamp is by Inkylicious, the sentiment is a digital, butterflies are from a Memory Box die
and the inks are Teal Zeal by Memento and Red by Dovecraft

Bold and Cheery and quick ....

Ok, got a lot of cutting still to do so I'll wish you a lovely start to your week and I'll see you tomorrow

Till soon

Repetition

Today at

The prompt is Repetition ...Chosen for us by Wendy

I for one am so fed up with the repetition of cold cold cold ... I long to be somewhere warmer
Fancy a trip with me? Admiring the repetitive patterns along the way

We could do a little shopping in Italy ...

Or perhaps walk along the harbour in Palma

Lagos in Portugal has the prettiest promenade with plenty of little bars to stop at

...But there's nothing like taking off your shoes and feeling the board walk under your feet - I know this lovely place called Porto Petro ... so peaceful

If it gets a little hot we could walk in the shade of the arches

... explore a little

... Or we could sit and whilst cooling our feet on that stunning marbled floor, admire the repetitive patterned gate of the Born Hotel Palma... once a 16th century Palace belonging to the Marquis of Farrendell ...

Maybe find time do a little sailing on the ocean ... don't you just love those boards - spick and span and shipshape!

And the repetitive "woosh" sound as the ship sails along...

Then we could go back to the hotel in Mijas

... and repeat the process tomorrow

Sometimes repetition is good!

Link up your photos at Our Beautiful World this week

Have a lovely day

Colours of Nature

Hello again ...

This is my second post today ... Feel free to scroll down

My DH has been occupied with the football on TV so after doing a bit of baking I settled down to make a card for this weeks cue at

Here's my card

I'm using the same stamps as in my previous post but the idea for this came from that little sprig that was on my desk

You can see that a lot of the tiny berries are missing and rather than throw it away ... I had an idea to make my it look as though the berries had crushed and produced the purple stain

... which sort of fits in with the sentiment ...

I'm also linking this up with Word Art Wednesday

Have a lovely day / evening

A Little Thing Called Love

Well the day to day sagas continue in my household...

I think my son has been feeling a little low lately ... Nothing he's said ... just something a Mother feels
So I made this little Valentine card for him ... to let him know how very much I love him

It's easier when they are little ... As they grow older you have to respect their privacy and all you can do is be there ... though no one is ever too old for a hug are they...

... And it's not just my son

My DH had a scare the other day ... I'd made us both a sandwich for lunch and suddenly he started to choke ...
Thankfully I'm not the panicky sort ... And though I've never actually learned the "How To" I performed the Heimlich Maneuver together with a few back slaps and finally I released the blockage

Guess you could say I saved his life ... Maybe its a little thing called Love

Till soon
