Smile

Hello!

It looks like Spring could be on it's way here ... We've had some really sunny days though the temperature at night has plummeted ... But I can take that

I'm hosting today over at the

...and the challenge I've picked for us this week is to
create a card or project that features a black and white photo

I found the cutest picture on the web that so resembles my Gipsy when she was a kitten ... It is also the spitting image of my friends kitty and as my friend celebrates her birthday this month I had to use it in my card

You've got to love the expression on that little face

I used some more of my canvas to cut the frame for the photo and made a banner from washi tape
The bling was a gift from one of my blog friends - I tend to cut pieces from it so that I can use it on lots of projects rather than overpower a card with too much

I have to say that when I picked this challenge I had no idea what I would create but I do love this card

This week we have a generous sponsor

Scrapper's Delight are offering 3 of their digital image stamps to our winner!
Here is a link to the store where you can browse and enjoy their lovely images

And we also have a wonderful Guest Designer for the whole month of March
Sylwia - Such a talented lady ... click on her name to visit her blog and be amazed!

Ok, so now it's over to you ... We're looking forward to your creations at CCCB

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for looking in on me and for taking the time to leave me a comment ... I so appreciate it

Till soon

Rain

Good morning friends

The prompt word at

This week is Rain ... chosen for us by Kirsty

Something we in the UK are very familiar with all year round... It has been in excess this year in the southern part of the British Isles and wreaked so much devastation and heartbreak ...

We have been fortunate where I am ... But still the dark dismal days of winter rain gets to you

Cold and wet and miserable ... unless you make friends with it

Yet the summer rain...

It's often gentle pitter patter cleans the air and leaves behind it a scent of indescribable freshness ... It heightens the perfume of every flower and leaf ...

Of course heavy showers can pick their moments ... usually when the flowers are in bloom and the weight becomes too much for some of the more delicate beauties that they bow their heads and fall

But a walk in the summer rain in the UK can be so beautiful...

A favourite for me is when I am tucked up snuggly in bed and the rain is lashing against the window

It's like a lullaby ...

Rain ... much as we complain ... I wouldn't be without it

Hop over to the Blog to see what Rain means to our friends around the globe and come and link up this week at

Enjoy your day

Till soon

Dreaming of Peaceful Days ....

... Yep, that's me
Every day seems to throw up a new challenge ... And I'm not talking craft challenges
I'd like to say I'm longing for normality around here but I can't remember what that is anymore

I've dealt with broken appliances, car problems, broken glasses, sick cats and an incapacitated husband ... I've run around to so many hospital appointments I feel like part of the staff ...

Having now got Gipsy fit and well, the little ginger cat turned up with a nasty injury to his foot ... I had been dreading having to take him to the vet ... He's been a stray for a long time and I didn't want to have to break his trust just yet... Even though I needed to get him neutered ... But fate intervened and so yesterday he was neutered, had his foot cleaned and was vaccinated ...
We brought him home at about 4.30 and he was so eager to get out ... I managed to keep him in until 8.30pm when the anaesthetic had worn off but had to let him go then ... So far he hasn't returned and I am worried sick ... I need to get pain killers into him so I am keeping my fingers crossed he returns safe and well.

So, Monday was my friend's anniversary ... I made the card a while ago and posted it here ... You know what I'm going to say don't you? Yes, when I came to get the card out on Sunday it was gone ... nowhere to be found ... How does that happen?? I searched everywhere ... but looking for a card in a room filled with card and paper ... Yeh right! The worst thing ... my mojo took a hike too! I could have easily recreated the original but - forgive the pun - I hadn't the heart to. After hours of pulling my hair out I did create a card ... and yes it's very like the original

I added the little black cat in the hope of good luck ... for me really Lol!

Well I'm going to love you and leave you now ... there are 3 places I need to be ... at one time

I hope you are having a better 2014 than I am ...

Till soon take care

Merci

Hi there!

Over at City Crafter today we have Kirsty hosting for us with a fabulous challenge

Do You Speak English?

Kirsty is asking that we make a card or project that features another language

It was a perfect opportunity to make a card to send to a sweet blog friend for her kindness

And I pulled out my "french" stamps for this one

There are 3 different stamps ... Tim Holtz, Waltzingmouse and Inkylicious together with white and black embossing powders

I love this combination of colours and I love this challenge ...

I hope you'll come and join us this week ... Our DT have some more inspiration for you up on the Blog and the winner of the challenge will be offered a Guest spot with us

Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you for all your kind wishes ... My cat is now fully recovered ... I've given her medication everyday at 4.30am (when she wakes me up) and for the last 2 mornings she has slept in till 6am.

Have a lovely day and stay safe

Soft

Hello ...

It's time for a new prompt at

Where our team from around the globe share photos each week based on a word prompt.

Our prompt this week has been selected for us by Bonita ... She 's chosen a wonderful word...

Soft

It's been a little harsh in the UK weather wise ... as indeed I'm sure it has where many of you are living ... my week has been much like the weather
But it's the Softness around me that keeps me smiling

Like the Soft delicate creamy pinks of my carnations

and the Soft velvety feel of a petals on a rose

... or the fluffy Soft...ness of feathers

But most of all it's the warm silky Soft...ness of this little guy

... with his gentle Soft purring when he comes in from the cold and settles on his Soft fleece blanket
I have a huge Soft spot when it comes to animals

Link up your photo that relates to Soft at

and hop over to the blog to see what the rest of the team have shared this week

Enjoy your day

Till soon
