Rainbows

Happy Tuesday!
And Happy Birthday to my dear Aunt!

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter ... Doesn't the time go quickly

This week Charlene has picked the challenge for us
Make a card or project with a rainbow

My card is quite simple ... I just painted the rainbow with distress stains

... there's supposed to be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ... but mine has a tree of gold

The little gem stones are also rainbow coloured

The talented Sylwia is with us again this week as our month long Guest Designer and the winner of our challenge will also have a Guest spot with us
So let's see your creations ... It can be a rainbow of any sort ...
Hop over to the blog to see what the team have come up with this week

Have a beautiful day and take care

Still a Kitten

Hello ...
It's a beautiful Spring morning here in Liverpool ... The sun is shining, the birds are singing and Gipsy cat didn't wake till 6:30am ...  Yay!

Talking of cats... Well, I just had to make another cat card with that cute image I used Here for the City Crafter Challenge
My dear Aunt celebrates her 87th Birthday tomorrow and being a cat lover too ... It just seemed appropriate, plus I love this cat's expression

Just think of all the sentiments that can go with that look

The inside reads ...

"You're still a kitten to me
Cute, Cuddly and So adorable.."

By the way, there's still time to enter our challenge at CCCB ... Use a Black & White photo
Just sayin'

I hope you have a lovely day wherever you are ...

I'll be back tomorrow, thanks for popping in

Roads

Hello ...

I got mixed up this week ... with the prompt word for

Sorry, call it a senior moment ... or general lack of sleep ... so I'm late in posting

The prompt word this week is Road ... Chosen for us by Wendy

So very quickly I have put together some photos from my archives ... take a trip with me

From a mountain  road on Anglesey ... An island off the North Coast of Wales where Prince William was based

To a winding mountain road of Andalucia in Spain

Take in an open road on a trip to Yorkshire ... Rain up ahead

To arriving at our destination the lovely Griffon Forest (Yorks) ... The forest road so beautiful with the sunlight filtering through

From the old narrow cobbled roads of Spain ...

To the more modern roads in the pretty village of Mijas

Roads ... where would we be without them?

Please share yours at Our Beautiful World this week

Have a lovely Sunday

Candle Jar

Hello!

I hope you are well

I have another candle jar to show you which I made for a friend ... These are rather addictive and cost nothing really as I recycle my jars and just use scraps of things I have lying around

once again I used a piece of recycled canvas

To decorate on both front and back

A little charm and a Rubon, some lace and a flower

It's not necessary to have a lid but I always add one so that the jar can be used for other purposes or just to make it look pretty - plus the lid isn't wasted then

I've been busy the last few days preparing notebooks and cards for my Special Needs group to make tonight ... Fortunately I have a new friend Pat, who has been coming to help me at the club and has discovered a love of both creating and working with the group ... It's not for everyone I know but so worthwhile ...

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon

Smile

Hello!

It looks like Spring could be on it's way here ... We've had some really sunny days though the temperature at night has plummeted ... But I can take that

I'm hosting today over at the

...and the challenge I've picked for us this week is to
create a card or project that features a black and white photo

I found the cutest picture on the web that so resembles my Gipsy when she was a kitten ... It is also the spitting image of my friends kitty and as my friend celebrates her birthday this month I had to use it in my card

You've got to love the expression on that little face

I used some more of my canvas to cut the frame for the photo and made a banner from washi tape
The bling was a gift from one of my blog friends - I tend to cut pieces from it so that I can use it on lots of projects rather than overpower a card with too much

I have to say that when I picked this challenge I had no idea what I would create but I do love this card

This week we have a generous sponsor

Scrapper's Delight are offering 3 of their digital image stamps to our winner!
Here is a link to the store where you can browse and enjoy their lovely images

And we also have a wonderful Guest Designer for the whole month of March
Sylwia - Such a talented lady ... click on her name to visit her blog and be amazed!

Ok, so now it's over to you ... We're looking forward to your creations at CCCB

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for looking in on me and for taking the time to leave me a comment ... I so appreciate it

Till soon

Rain

Good morning friends

The prompt word at

This week is Rain ... chosen for us by Kirsty

Something we in the UK are very familiar with all year round... It has been in excess this year in the southern part of the British Isles and wreaked so much devastation and heartbreak ...

We have been fortunate where I am ... But still the dark dismal days of winter rain gets to you

Cold and wet and miserable ... unless you make friends with it

Yet the summer rain...

It's often gentle pitter patter cleans the air and leaves behind it a scent of indescribable freshness ... It heightens the perfume of every flower and leaf ...

Of course heavy showers can pick their moments ... usually when the flowers are in bloom and the weight becomes too much for some of the more delicate beauties that they bow their heads and fall

But a walk in the summer rain in the UK can be so beautiful...

A favourite for me is when I am tucked up snuggly in bed and the rain is lashing against the window

It's like a lullaby ...

Rain ... much as we complain ... I wouldn't be without it

Hop over to the Blog to see what Rain means to our friends around the globe and come and link up this week at

Enjoy your day

Till soon
