Giving me Goosebumps

Happy Friday!!
Another week gone by ...

In between the usual household chores and some bread making yesterday I got a chance to play with some inks
I had a couple of butterflies left over from the project I showed you in my previous post and I discovered a bottle of Goosebumps in my cupboard ... I must have bought that over a year ago and never tried it ... well now I'm hooked!
It gives a lovely definition to stamped images ... I made a card for the challenge over at

This is my first time playing here ... and the challenge is to make your own background
Here's my card

The BGstamp I used is one my friend Keren gave to me ... from Indigo Blu I think... I sprayed it with Goosebumps, dabbed it a little and took a few Memento ink pads and started sponging

I then did the same with the butterflies which were originally just cut from the same plain white card stock ... This time I used a small flower and leaf stamp that was also hiding away ... unfortunately I don't know where it's from and to be honest it didn't look very interesting until I applied this technique

I'm really loving the bright colours lately ... it must be Spring lol!
I didn't think this card needed much more so all I added was a silvery branch and stamped a little text on the bottom right corner

I do hope you all have a great weekend ...
Thanks for stopping by

Butterfly

Hi there ...
It's cold today and wouldn't you just know it ... it's the day I am having my front porch and door replaced so I'm sitting here all wrapped up!

A couple of days ago I saw a beautiful double easel butterfly card on Pinterest ... It was done by
Lowri Mc Nabb.. Here's the Link to her blog where you can find a tutorial and a free download ... Thanks Lowri!

Well I had to give it a go and I pulled out my Cameo ... not that I could download the SVG file ... but I did have a butterfly in the cut files that I could use.
Here's the result

Isn't it pretty?

Being as I used the Cameo I made this a bit bigger than Lowri's as a trial run

it's given me an idea to perhaps do a pop up card using this

Well it's the last club night until after Easter tonight ... And this evening I'm handing the class over to my friend Pat ... she has taken to it like a duck to water and tonight we are making Easter projects created by Pat ... I just know it will be fun

Have yourselves a lovely day ...

Till soon

Pastel Soft

It's been a while since I did anything shabby...
I still have a love of soft pastels and frills... creamy lace with papers tucked behind

The Shabby Tea Room has a beautiful inspiration photo this week

That ribbon and lace speaks to my heart and has a delicate calming effect
For the first time in a long time ... I am joining in their challenge

layers of lace that fall in a natural curve...

pinks, creams and pale greens that sit so well together

... and express the soft romantic side of me

It felt good to get lost in my shabby side again

If you like Shabby ...hop over to the Shabby Tea Room and check out the lovely creations there

Have a beautiful day

Springtime

Good morning and Happy April!
I'm back to share my DT project for this week's challenge at

Our host this week is Anna and she has given us this beautiful inspiration photo

The Theme ... Easter
The challenge ... Make an Easter or Spring project

I went a little whimsical with this ...

I made a little baby stroller

... and before I knew it the birds had moved in

Mama bird is keeping an eye on her babies ... she doesn't mind the occasional visitor taking a peek though

I love how mama bird decorated that stroller ... so Springlike

My fellow DT have some sweet projects for you on the blog and this week our
Guest Designer is Dina
Dina is one talented lady ... I adore her work and I know you will too ... take a look at her blog and be amazed!

I just wanted to post a card I made for this weeks challenge at CAS.ology

This looks just like my cat from the back

I love the challenges at CAS.ology ... they really test me and I love seeing the DT samples and everyone else's take on the cue card

I hope you're having a great day ... It's Mother's Day here and I've got some beautiful flowers from my lovely son and my DH so I'm certainly very lucky!

Bloom

Hello ...
It's Mothering Sunday here in the UK

Happy Mother's Day!!

It's a beautiful day and in my garden ...
Everything is coming into bloom

Bloom is the prompt word this week at

Picked for us by Bonita ...

She couldn't have picked a better word - I love photographing flowers and trees - they make such wonderful subjects

I love how they gently unfurl their petals and leaves as they come into Bloom

I love to see the trees come to life ... overnight they transform

so that in the blink of an eye there is blossom everywhere

Who could not smile at their colourful beauty?

An orchestra of delicate bells

... and trumpets

That the birds sing along to as they build their nests

The most wonderful time is when Bloom happens
Is it happening in your part of the world?

Link up with us at

And have a beautiful day

EDIT ........ Picmonkey

I see that some of you have a problem using Picmonkey lately ... You may be getting a message that says your browser is Vintage

To Correct This

All you need to do is open another browser ... My Mac is set to open in Safari but by downloading  Firefox I can open this as my browser instead of Safari and Picmonkey will work perfectly

I hope this helps you.
