Wishing You Brighter Days

Hello!
It's my turn to host at City Crafter again this week and inspired by the bright colours around lately I have come up with the challenge
Citrus Flavour

This week I want you to create a card or project that includes
ALL 3 Citrus colours Orange, Lemon & Lime
You may use other colours just as long as these 3 are included

I made a card for a lady in Blogland from the USA who I don't actually know but I heard that she went through a terrible ordeal so I wanted to send something from the UK to cheer her up. It's always good to know people are thinking of you

I used Goosebumps and an old HA stamp on a piece of white card then sponged inks over it

The clock hands were also sponged over ... My card looks much more vibrant IRL but it was a dull rainy day when I took these photos and I needed to get it in the post

Our Guest Designer this week is Ela a previous winner at City Crafter ... Ela creates the most wonderful projects ... the detail is beautiful! Hop over and take a look at her work
Our winner this week will also have a GD spot with us ...

I hope you are having a good week so far ...

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by

Mod Squad Challenge

Hello there!

I'm back home from Lincoln ... missing my Aunt but happy to be home and to see my little cat....

I've missed being able to get into my creative space and today I've been busy with baking so I didn't think I'd get a chance to make anything...
But the Mod Squad Challenge was beckoning to me

This week we are being challenged to make a one layer card ...

I love that silhouette image, it's from a set I got free with a magazine last year - I die cut a piece of card to use as a mask and sponged some various coloured inks before stamping it

Waiting for me when I got home last evening was a gorgeous card and a fabulous stamp set from my sweet friend Sue Lelli
I used one of the sentiments from the set which is by Precious Remembrance - New Day

The only other thing I added was a small amount of Glossy Accents for effect.
I'm glad I got to squeeze this in before the challenge closes ...

I'd better go and cook dinner now so I'll be back tomorrow

Enjoy your Day / Evening

Mirroring

Hello... Happy Sunday!
It's May already and it's still cold where I am in the UK ...

Today of course is the day we give a new word prompt at

This week Manuela has picked the word for us which is
Mirroring

I did have to wrack my brain with this one but here's what I came up with

These are pretty perfume bottles that sit on a mirrored shelf on my dressing table

Can you guess which is my favourite? It has to be the Chanel ... apart from crafting goods - this is my one indulgence

Having finally found a shot that I thought fitted the prompt I went on to have a little fun with mirroring

Last year I only got a single bloom on my lilac tree ... this year it's in abundance and I love it!
I have one single tulip ... it survived the massacre when my DH decided to take up doing the gardening... he didn't and still doesn't know a plant from a weed so I have to keep an eye on him ... It was only fair that I let my lovely tulip see just how beautiful she is

I tell you ... the squeals of delight when she saw herself for the first time well, it really got to me ... and she would like to thank Manuela for making it possible

Ok ... enough frivolity ... It's over to you now ... We'd love you to link up your photos with us at
Hop over to the blog and see what the rest of the team have come up with

Enjoy your day ... I'm heading home this afternoon

Till soon

Jake

Hi there!

Thanks so much for your kind wishes ... my Aunt is doing really well and bustling about fussing over me as usual. It was a long wait at the hospital - a stupid system that gives everyone the same appointment time and then we just sit and wait till they call us ... we were there for over 4 hours.
Still as long as it's successful it was worth it, and so far so good.

I told you some time ago that my Aunt is a talented lady and very much so when it comes to embroidery ... She takes a photo from somewhere and copies it with silk embroidery thread ... Mostly animals. Her friend has a gorgeous black labrador called Jake ... I'd like you to meet him

This is my Aunts embroidery of Jake ... Black is so hard to do but she totally pulled it off here

I'm just tooting her flute (a lovely expression I learned from a friend) because I think at 87 she deserves it!

Sending you all love and hugs from Lincolnshire

Enjoy your weekend

Hey Girlfriend

Hello
How are you all doing?

It's a cold day here in Lincolnshire and in a few hours we will be off to the hospital for my Aunts appointment. She's having injections in her spine to try and relieve her of some of the pain she suffers ... I can but pray that it is successful.

I have a card to share that I made before I left home ... for a dear friends birthday ...

It all started with a small odd scrap of card stock that I stamped and embossed in silver ink and then sponged with various Memento inks ... then I die cut it into that butterfly

With the exception of the lovely burlap ribbon ... everything else came from my scraps
I stamped some white ink blotches onto the piece of grey card and pulled it all together with those scraps of paper

whilst I love being here I am missing my little craft room and my sweet little cat who watches me all day ... either from sitting outside my window on a good day or in his little basket behind me on a cold or wet day...

I hope you are having a good week ...

Till soon ... stay safe

Speech Bubble

Hello and good morning!

This week at City Crafter we have our lovely Kirsty hosting for us with a great challenge

Kirsty wants us to use a speech bubble on our project

I actually downloaded a speech bubble from the internet to make my card and printed it straight onto my paper to make this card

I think it's the stripes in the paper that make it look dimensional

Being that I digitally added the speech bubble I also did the sentiment digitally too

We have the talented Lisette (Mrs Beez)Guesting with us this week ... Lisette won our challenge in week 202 with her wonderful creation and the winner of this challenge will also be offered a Guest spot with us so link up your projects ... If you're looking for inspiration hop over to the CCCB and check out all the projects from our team of designers.

I'm on my way to Lincoln today but I'll do my best to keep up with visiting you all whilst I'm away

Thanks so much for looking in on me and I hope you all have a great week

Keep safe
