PTI Design Tips

Hello!

How are you all?
I have had a really busy week at home ... just the usual, cleaning cooking and baking ...
This week I've made a 3 loaves of bread, 24 sticky buns and a lemon and blueberry desert ... so I'm still being creative... And I had Pat come around for a lesson in how I made This set

Today I have a card to share using the PTI design tip from Maile Belles which involves cut out panels

Unfortunately my stamps from PTI are very limited so I used a holly stamp by Dovecraft to make this Christmas card ... Yes, you heard me right ... A Christmas card Lol!

I just thought it would be a good stamp to use for this technique and I really like the result

I did use a PTI ink (Ripe Avocado) to colour my holly leaves with

I'm going to have to invest in some more stamps I think because I like this effect and I guess you've noticed that I'm still bewitched by blue and green colours

I hope your day is going well ... It's almost the weekend ... Have a good one!

Till soon

City Crafter 225

Hello

This week at City Crafter we have an Inspiration Photo challenge for you
Kirsty is our hostess and this is her photo choice

Isn't that just the cutest? I absolutely love those colours - the grey and kraft beige and I spotted those little red and turquoise flowers on the sweet little girls hat ... So it was the colours I went with

I randomly scored my grey cardstock top and bottom to mimic the pattern in the little cardigan

I think I captured all the colours here ... The sentiment is an old Bo Bunny sticker I had hiding in my stash and I used textured cardstock and fabrics to reflect the feel of the photo

Our Guest Designer this week is Joanne - winner of week 216 ... click on the link to go visit her lovely blog

Joanne and my fello DT have some beautiful creations to inspire you up on the City Crafter Blog ... hop on over and take a look ... We're looking forward to seeing your interpretation of Kirsty's lovely inspiration photo so please come and join us

Have a beautiful day

Blue & Green

Hello...

It's been a while since I got to create something and I love blue and green together so when I saw the challenge at

I had to play along ...

Whilst over at AAA Cards this week

The challenge is to CASe this card by Jane Taylor

Here's my card

I used blue and green mists for my background and layered some flowers on to a navy blue die cut wreath

... A couple of die cut ferns and a silver thread bow complete my centre piece

The sentiment is by PTI stamped in ink by Gina K. designs
I also added some glossy accents onto a few petals ... simply because this flower reminds me of a waterlily, and I couldn't resist adding a few sequins too.

I hope you're having a good start to the week - It's cool and wet here and it's been very windy too ...

Thanks for looking in - Take care

Signage

Hello and good morning!

Today at  Our Beautiful World   Milagros has chosen our prompt and this week it's

Signage

I dug ot a few photos from my archives for this...

Looking at the signs here you would probably thin that this is a bar in France when in fact it's a bar in the centre of Cork in Ireland...

... and this is just like any high street shopping centre in the UK with those signs when in fact this was taken in Gibraltar

This sign I found in a beer garden in Cornwall, and here are some more signage from Cornwall...

In case you are wondering a Quoit is an ancient burial ground

A vintage van ... I used to eat those sweets when I was a child!
And this one I've shared before but it's worth sharing again

My fellow DT have some more photos for you on the Blog ... We'd love it if you shared yours ...

Till soon

Happy days and ducks

Hello there!

I've just returned from spending a week with my Aunt and I've had a wonderful time...
It was so relaxing and peaceful and always a joy to be with this wonderful lady who spoils me and makes me laugh constantly ...

The only things I made whilst I was away were two felt phone covers

... one for me and one for my friend Pat

I've tried to keep up with your blogs and of course with my daily dose of Pinterest but for the most part I've just done very little.

Yesterday I heard a noise and went outside to investigate and to my delight one of the mother ducks had walked her babies around to the house! Excuse the poor photos but I had to be quick

Part of me is glad to be home with my family and my sweet cats and part of me wishes I was back in Lincolnshire ...

I do hope your week has been a good one and that your weekend will be too-
I'll be back tomorrow with our new word prompt at

Till then take care

City Crafter 224

Hello ...
I'm away from home right now ... staying with my sweet Aunt in Lincoln but today of course is a new challenge at City Crafter and this week we have the talented Anna hosting for us with the theme
Roses

Anna is asking that we create a card or project with at least 1 Rose on it ... You are free to use stamps or patterned paper if you wish

I made a card for some friends who celebrated their anniversary recently

Not a typical anniversary card maybe but I'm just loving these colour lately

I used 3 roses here ... the larger of which I coloured with an ink pad, same as I did with the heart and fern just to blend in with my colour scheme

We have a generous sponsor this week who is offering a prize to our winner

All Colour Envelopes is a UK based company who supply various coloured envelopes ... aren't they fun?
Hop on over to the Blog to see full details of the prize together with all the DT projects including that of our lovely Guest Designer this week, Dawn - All things Pretty Craftee Who won our challenge in week 214.

I hope you can join us this week

Ok... I've a lot of catching up to do with my Aunt ... a real girlie week for me!

So have fun yourselves and take care

Thanks for looking in
