City Crafter 233

Good morning!

Are you ready for a new challenge at City Crafter?
This week we have the lovely Kirsty hosting for us with a Photo Inspiration challenge

Here's the photo Kirsty has given us

I went with the travel theme and made my first slider card

From the front it looks like an ordinary card but if you pull on that bow the tag slides up to reveal the hidden heart...

...and text on the tag

Autumn

Hello

It's my turn to come up with the prompt at
this week ...

The word is simply Autumn

For a nature lover like me it's a time to celebrate the glorious colour of the season ... more so if the sun puts in an appearance

Before the plants and trees bid their last goodnight as winter approaches ...

They put on a display of beauty and warmth

I could photograph them all day

 The early morning dew

... The many gossamer like webs that stretch just about everywhere

Even flowers still bloom ... tiny but perfect

Berries of every variety hang from the trees

and Mr Squirrel rushes about eager to collect the fallen nuts

Who would have thought a broken and wind blown sprig could have looked so beautiful?

I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of Autumn in your part of the world...

Link up at Our Beautiful World this week and take a look at the photos my friends are sharing with you

Have a beautiful Autumnal Sunday

Love you to the moon and back

Hi there ... How's it going?
I hope you've had a good week so far ...

I said I'd made a couple more cards featuring the moon stars and clouds that I used in This post
and here they are

These are for my lovely great niece and great nephew

  Cousins who adore each other

I don't get to see them very often but when I do we always end our visit with these words...

All being well (fingers and toes crossed) they will be going together on a family holiday shortly -  whether this can happen is part of the issues my family are facing at the moment ... I can't go into details but your prayers would be most welcome ...

Have yourselves a lovely day

Club Projects

Good morning ...

It's continuing to rain here and it's turned cold  - my cat and I are not happy that we can't enjoy some quiet time on the garden swing like we have done all summer long

I thought you may like to see what my group will be putting together this week but before I get on to that I would like to say a big Thank You to Jan at
The Mixed Media Card Challenge
For highlighting this card last week

I'm delighted!

Ok ... this week we will be putting together 2 cards
This first one was not my idea ... I saw it whilst browsing Pinterest ... Here and I just knew my special needs group would love it

It is kind cute isn't it?
The second one will be a camera card

I spent hours on the cameo cutting these out

It's funny but my group always have to have an envelope and if the card has some sort of embellishment that makes it a tight squeeze they are not happy at all!
If they make a minimum of 2 cards each that's 40 envelopes!

I'm kind of running short on envelopes for them so I killed two birds with one stone today ... You know all those papers that you hoard ... you just know you're not going to use them, some are dog eared and some are from a pad you bought - you liked half the papers but not the other half ... Yeh, we've all got them ...
So I sat and made a stack of envelopes with them ...

I put labels on the fronts so the address can still be added...

... and my group only have to glue down the sides ready to use - it should keep them occupied a little longer and the main thing is the cards fit in perfectly...

Well that's me for today ... I hope it's warmer where you are

Enjoy your day

City Crafter 232

Hello!

Well autumn has descended with wet and windy weather here in the UK... DH is miserable because he can't go golfing

Today at City Crafter the theme is
Leaves

Chosen for us by the lovely Anna ... Sadly this will be Anna's last week with us here at CCCB ... Unfortunately life has just become too busy for her to continue with us ... We will be very sorry to see her go ...
"Anna I wish you all the very best and I'm still looking forward to seeing your beautiful unique creations ... be happy"

I've loved making my own leaves recently, sponging them and coating them with glossy accents ...
However, the large leaf on my card was fussy cut from paper and then sponged and glossed

I stamped my background and used TH pewter distress paint to add some splats and drips

The little leaf is handmade and the canvas 'Fall' sticker is from my stash

This week and for the rest of the month we have a Star Guest Designer
Greta of GG Creations
Hop over to her blog and check out her lovely work

Our winner this week will also win a GD spot with us here at City Crafter so link up your creations and go visit the Blog to see the inspiration projects from the rest of our team

Thanks so much for your visit ... Enjoy your day

Celebrate - World Card Making Day

Hi there ...

This is my second post for today ... If you're looking for my post for
Our Beautiful World
Please scroll down

I did a special card for WCMD but I couldn't post it before because I didn't want my friend to see it on my blog before I gave it to her ...

The Just Us Girls Challenge this week is a word week
The word is Celebrate

Well my dear friend Pat celebrates a special birthday and this is for her

I had to come up with something I know she hasn't seen me do before so I opted for a "bendy card"
She loves Aqua and pink!

I am so please at how this turned out and I love the balloons ... I cut them in vellum, each one is cut twice and I sandwiched the 'strings' between them then added some glitter ... They float like real balloons

my cat always hangs around us when we are together so I had to put cats in there

To say she was thrilled is an understatement ... It makes me smile to see her face light up

Now I'm making projects for my thursday group so I'll sign off

Enjoy your day
