Shine

Hello!
Did you have a good weekend?

I've another Christmas card to share today which I am linking up to the Monday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp

This one features a background made using TextureZ embossing paste in Patina and a Memory Box stencil

The stencil made me think of a starburst and in my head I was thinking of the bright star over the little town of Bethlehem

I die cut a stitched star (Lil'Inkers) and used the Memory Box Country Landscape die for the town - You can see after die cutting the landscape I then cut it into 2 pieces and layered one over the other to give some dimension to the little town

Of course being me I had to add a dusting of glitter to the die cuts

Wishing you all a lovely day and many thanks for stopping by

Inside

Good morning!

At Our Beautiful World the new prompt for the week has been chosen for us by the lovely Wendy
The word is

"Inside"

What could she mean I thought ... Inside whilst another is outside?

Or perhaps it just means Inside like in your own basket

... Or your own box

Maybe it's Inside my home

Or perhaps Inside the Palm House in Liverpool?

How about Inside a shop full to the brim of knick knacks in Spain?

Oooh! it could be Inside the Rock of Gibraltar

Or the Liverpool Eye...

... even a flower!

What do you think?

Why not share your
"Inside"
Photos with us at Our Beautiful World this week
We'd love to see them

Hugs

Anything Goes

Hello... How are you?
Survive the manic rush of Black Friday?

It's something that has now taken off in the UK and when I heard on the news about the fights ... Ambulances being called etc., I thought it better to stay home!

As I was finishing up the project for my group on Thursday ... my DH came in and told me it was my friend Pat's husband's birthday... I had no idea ... she sure kept that quiet! So I had a quick card to make ...

I keep a little container on my desk that I keep bit's and pieces like die cuts I didn't use and it comes in handy I can tell you... This is how my card evolved

The circle and stars were in that box so I cut some DP using the wavy borders and splattered the whole card with Tim Holtz distress paint in Pewter.. Voila!

I'm linking this up over at
Where there is an "Anything Goes" challenge

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend

Till soon

Sparkle

Hello and to all my friends over in the USA

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope you have a wonderful day with family and loved ones

I have another shaker card to share today ...

I cut that tree on my Cameo and I'm using my new dies here too

Once again mixing my glitter with sequins ...
The Sparkle (PTI die) I cut from some left over card stock I had stamped for another project

I just love making these ...

I'm linking up over at Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday

Thanks so much for looking in

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hello there ...

I've another Christmas card to share ... this time a little glitter filled shaker card

The image was stamped and embossed (using black glitter EB powder) onto acetate first - actually it took me a few goes as the acetate tends to slip when being stamped and this little stamp was quite finely detailed so you can't really press too hard

Behind the acetate is a small left over piece of Melissa Frances paper and a glittery moon

The washi tape on the bottom of the card is by Teresa Collins - the sentiment is computer generated and the snow is made using Snow Writer by DecoArt

I need to finish the Thursday Group project today ... I have little Christmas tea light houses for them to make and Pat is preparing Christmas wreaths for them to make too.

Have a lovely day

City Crafter 239

Hello ... Happy Tuesday!

The lovely Charlene is hosting our challenge this week at City Crafter

Does the photo give you any clues as to what this challenge is?
Well, this week the challenge is Techniques

Charlene is asking that we create a card or project using our favourite technique and tell us on your post what technique you used ... Isn't that a fabulous challenge!

There are so many techniques that I love to use but one of my all time favourites is the Inlaid Die Technique which I used on my card

Why I picked this die I'll never know ... I love the die but didn't realised just how many tiny pieces there were to 'fit back' into the spaces

It was worth it in the end ... I love the effect and it always keeps the recipient guessing "how did she do that?" Lol!

Our Guest Designer this week is Ger Janne - winner of week 233 - If you click This link it will take you to the card she made that week and the wonderful technique used - One I've yet to try
I can't wait to see what she comes up with this week and what the rest of the team have in store for us, so I'm off over to the City Crafter Blog - You're welcome to join me

Have a lovely day

Hugs
