Sparkle

Hello from a very cold UK
We've had hailstones, rain and wind for the past few days and it's very gloomy here
Yesterday was spent in my little room making more cards.

Just Us Girls have a challenge this week for Sparkle

Well I've made so many cards that fit the bill this past week, Birthday cards, sparkly Christmas cards even cards with the word Sparkle on them ... what to post...

I'm settling for a sparkly snowflake one today

I don't work well with the rich bright golds but I do love the muted softer shade of gold and I had some of this colour self adhesive glitter paper which I used for my snowflakes and the word Joy

I always adhere the glitter paper to odd bits of CS before I die cut and I also used a piece of the self adhesive silver for the little snowflake too ... The BG paper is by Teresa Collins

It needed a little ink splattering but the mists and sprays I had were too gold against this glitter paper so I used some gold drawing ink.
I can assure you this is very sparkly!

News on the cat front ... I put her picture on the FB page of a 5star Cattery know as the Cat's Mansion ... Anyway cutting a long story short ... I've been inundated with messages of people sharing her photo etc., and both an offer of someone coming here with a scanner to check for a microchip and another kind person saying they will take her and re-home her. I'm overwhelmed with the response.
Now the down side of all this is that every single time I've arranged to take her to the vet, who you may remember offered to keep her until a home is found ... She has done a runner! She comes to be fed but won't even come in the house ... in the evening when the vet is closed ... Oh yes, she comes in the house!
I think the saga may continue for a while yet Lol!

I hope your day is going well

Be safe

Markets

Hi there!

It's time for a new prompt at Our Beautiful World and this week Robyn has chosen the prompt

"Markets"

I love markets ... We don't have as many as we used to where I live and they are not the same as they used to be when I was young
Whenever I'm abroad I love to go and browse if there is a market and here's a photo taken years ago in Spain

You kind of buy things then you're back home the following week and you never get to wear what you bought!
But it's fun to see what they have and just how cheap things are

Then there are the Christmas markets that seem to be springing up just about everywhere ... They are so expensive and I wonder if they ever sell anything

The food is so tempting though...

We'd love it if you'd share your Market photo with us at

Hop over to the Blog and see what my friends are sharing this week

Have a beautiful Sunday

A Little More Christmas

Hello!
Man it's turned cold here ... It was a frosty December morning first thing

I'm still making Christmas cards ... Thought I'd share another with you today

I know ... A black snowflake ... who'd have thought Lol!
The dramatic black just appealed to me against the soft aqua ... I can only hope it appeals to the recipient too ...

Actually I was just trying out some new dies from Simon Says Stamp
This was my first order with them and I'm delighted with my goodies ... Great service and the postage was very reasonable compared to some US stores

I'm linking up with the challenge at Simon Says and I will definitely buy from them again ... Oh just wait till my DH sees my wish list!

I hope you're not fed up with my shakers cards ... I have more of them to share in the next few days too

Have a brilliant day!

Thanks for looking in on me

Shades of Grey

Hello!
Where is the time going?  Christmas is almost here and so much to do ... I managed to post a lot of things overseas the other day and my DH said I could have paid off the 3rd world debt with that postage!

We have a relatively new (to some) postage rate for cards ... Most of the time they have to have a Large letter stamp which of course costs more than a normal stamp ... Unfortunately not everyone realises this and we've had to pay for cards sent to us without the correct stamp ... Kind of takes the spirit of Christmas away doesn't it?
Take note Post Office people!

So... I have cards to share ... One piece of CS, One piece of DP and 2 snowflakes makes for 2 cards

To be honest those snowflakes were redundant Christmas tree ornaments that I've had for a long time

I just love the the grey colours...

.... and those curves and though you really can't see it the word Sparkle does have a sparkle to it

As I write I have just received a package of new dies from Simon Says Stamp Yay!!
Got to find more time to play!!

I'm linking up to Just Us Girls

Have a lovely Day!

City Crafter Week 240

Good Morning ...

This week at City Crafter we have the lovely Stella hosting the challenge and the them is
A Wreath For This Season

Stella is asking that we create a card or project that includes a wreath and a touch of silver. The silver can be in in the form of sequins, tinsel, embossing ... anything as long as there is silver on your project

I don't have a wreath stamp so I improvised using a normal straight stamp and a circle cut from CS ... I lay the circle down with temporary adhesive and I just kept aligning my stamp to the outer edge of the circle to make a wreath

As you can see I used Liquid Pearls as my "Silver" and also some silver stars

The BG for my wreath was done by inking up a large holly BG stamp in a few different inks then spritzing with water

Our GD this week is Kama ... winner of week 235 ... Please hop over to her Blog and be inspired by  her beautiful creations!

Don't forget to hop over to the City Crafter Blog too and see what Kama and our team have come up with this week to inspire you
I hope you'll play along with our challenge

For the first time since City Crafter Challenge started - almost 5 years ago, we will be taking a 2 week break for Christmas so there are only 2 more challenges after this one

Have a lovely day ... Be safe

Shine

Hello!
Did you have a good weekend?

I've another Christmas card to share today which I am linking up to the Monday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp

This one features a background made using TextureZ embossing paste in Patina and a Memory Box stencil

The stencil made me think of a starburst and in my head I was thinking of the bright star over the little town of Bethlehem

I die cut a stitched star (Lil'Inkers) and used the Memory Box Country Landscape die for the town - You can see after die cutting the landscape I then cut it into 2 pieces and layered one over the other to give some dimension to the little town

Of course being me I had to add a dusting of glitter to the die cuts

Wishing you all a lovely day and many thanks for stopping by
