City Crafter 251

Hello everyone

My fellow DT member and dear friend Stella is hosting the challenge today at City Crafter and she has challenged us to create a card or project that features Washi Tape

I am also delighted to say that our Guest Designer is the lovely Darnell Knauss ... Many of you will know Darnell for her lovely creations, her NBUS challenges, her generosity, her witty and uplifting posts and not least of all for her fine use of invented words lol! If you have never visited Darnell's blog you don't know what you are missing ... click the link and see for yourself

So here's my card

I made it for my SIL who celebrated her birthday last month ... The tag features 2 different dottie Washi Tapes overlaid with vellum

The tulips (stamps by Clearly Besotted) were painted with Gelatos and I dusted off my Swiss embossing folder for this one

Like Darnell this week's winner will also have a GD spot with us so pull out those forgotten about Washi tapes and get creating ... Our team have lots more inspiration for you up on the City Crafter Blog, so take a minute to have a look ...

Wishing you all a wonderful day

Be safe

This and That

Hellooo...

I have just returned from the hospital where I had 2 biopsies taken. I'm hoping that in another month I will finally know what is going on with this old body of mine....

I was thrilled to discover I had This card highlighted at The Mixed Media Challenge ... what a great piece of news to come home to ... Thank you ladies!

It's a cold and very windy day here and I don't have anything that new to share but I do have a Thank You card I made a while ago for my sweet friend Ira

Quite simple but it did use up some of my left overs

...And I thought I could enter it at CAS(E) this Sketch

I also thought you may like to see the mirror I was painting ... I shared a few photos of my new dining area Here and the furniture I painted, then I bought a shutter mirror which was originally a dirty white and a little too shabby for my liking so I altered it for the far end of the room

I apologise for the poor quality of the photos but as you will see the light was so bright when I took these

The little hen and chicks you can see are lights ... they look so sweet lit up

And my Ginger cat also has a new little house which he loves!

He had outgrown his other one and though this is a little girlie ... he doesn't seem to mind ... He can move around in there and sleeps all night in it ...

I hope you are having a good start to the week ... I'll be back tomorrow for the new challenge at
City Crafter ...

Have a yourselves good day and thanks so much for your visit

Till soon

Tangled

Hello ...

Happy St David's Day and Welcome March!

Today I have picked the word prompt for

This week your word is Tangled...
And I'm am a little embarrassed to share this photo of my ribbons all tangled up ...

I'm certainly no neat freak ... But hey this is me

Looking around at the trees and the garden made me think of the word ... everything seems to be tangled this time of year ... or maybe it's just the bareness that makes it appear that way

But do you see what I see? Look a little closer...

Cheeky grey squirrels ... These guys were having such a wonderful time charging up and down the trees and almost camouflaged in the tangle of twigs and branches

Share your Tangled photos with us this week at

Have a lovely day

Pink Roses

Hello lovely people...

I have 2 more cards using the rose stamp by Clearly Besotted to show you ... They are very similar - Well when you like one why stop there?

This is an anniversary card I made for some friends of ours who celebrated 47 years of marriage yesterday

... The rose and stem was stamped, embossed and painted with Gelatos before fussy cutting

The next one is a birthday card for a very sweet lady I worked with over 30 years ago ... she's not in the best of health and her 93 year old husband takes care of her

They are almost the same in design but the Gelatos shade differently on different types of card stock ... I used exactly the same red and green on both cards but you can see a slight difference

You can actually see the Wink of Stella on this one too

I hope you are having a good week ... I've 4 more days to go until I have my biopsy done and one way or another I hope they can find out what is wrong with me ... It could be Autoimmune disease they said  and there is no cure for that but better to know right?

Till soon ... be safe

City Crafter 250

Hi there!
I have the pleasure of  hosting the challenge this week at City Crafter and the theme I've picked is

Use it Up

I'm all about trying to use up my scraps and die cuts and that's what I want you to do this week
Make a card or project using mostly your scraps and we like you to tell us which bits were your scraps

Here's my card

It's very simple but the whole card was made from left over pieces from previous cards...

I put glossy accents on the "you' die cut ... those scraps are perfect for die cutting little words and tiny hearts

Our GD this week is Oribella winner of week 247 ... click on the link and check out her lovely shabby style
Our winner this week will also have a GD spot with us so pull out those scraps and share your creations with us at City Crafter ... don't forget to go visit the Blog to see what the rest of the team has to share this week.

Enjoy your day

Till soon

Roses

Hello ...

It's bright and sunny here but we are forecast snow....
There's always lots of things to do indoors and that's where I'm staying for now

I recently bought a copy of the Cards and Papercraft magazine ... simply because there are free stamps by Clearly Besotted this month and I am a fan of theirs ... plus my friend Keren designs for them and it's always a pleasure to see what she comes up with ...
I just love the rose stamp that was in the set and I've made a few cards using this stamp over the weekend ... Here's one of them ...

You don't usually see me using these bright colours but I really like this ... I have roses of the same colours in my garden during the summer

I used my Gelatos to paint the flowers and though I'm not that good I do love the Gelatos and I'm happy with how they turned out and I think my fussy cutting may be improving

The sentiment is also part of the stamp set ... I'll share some more of my rose cards later in the week ...

Stay warm and have a good day

Hugs
