You Brighten My Day

Hi there!

It's been really sunny and warm here when normally we have the traditional April showers ... Ginger cat and I have been able to sit in the garden under the sun umbrella which was my inspiration for the card I have to share for The Card Concept

Such lovely colours here aren't they?
Here's my card in full

I noticed the silver elements in the photo together with those lovely greys, the bright patterned pink and the glimpse of frames... Hence the frame, the silver sequins and word and the little touches of silver added to the umbrella

My problem is what category to enter this in ... Is it CAS or Clean and layered?
It's easy to replicate but it does have a couple of images - I think I'll go for CAS

Wishing you all a lovely day and thanks so much for your visit

Ombre

Hello!

I have a card to share that I made for the challenge over at CAS.ology where the cue card is Ombre

It's a while since I got to play here and as my friend Pat gave me a lovely new Memory Box stencil and I love sponging this is what I came up with

I just love those butterflies ... The inks I used are all by Memento
Morocco, Tangelo and Dandelion

The sentiment is by Precious Remembrance
I used different shades of sequins to tie in with the ombre theme too

I hope you have a great day

Take care

City Crafter 258

Good morning friends!

Today it's my turn to share a card for you to CASE for the 3rd week of the City Crafter Celebration Challenge...
Strictly speaking you don't have to CASE it ... you can pick any of the elements to create a project of your own ... Hop over to the Blog for full details

I decided that my card for City Crafter's birthday had to have a city landscape and some sparkle

So here we are a cityscape shaker card...

The background, stars and the banner were all sponged with inks so maybe you could use sponging or stars? Maybe even a whole bunch of sequins

Our Guest Designer this week is Tammy of Somewhere under the sun blogspot click on the link to go visit her blog ... She is very talented when it comes to card making I tell you

The winner of the challenge will also receive this prize package from me

Head on over to the City Crafter Blog to see what the rest of this week's team have in store for you and link up your creations

Have a beautiful day!

Thursday Club Canvas

Hello!
How are you all? I hope you had a good weekend ... My day out yesterday didn't go as planned ... DH decided to do some painting so we only managed to get out for a couple of hours but hey, I'm used to him changing his mind ...
Anyway it gave me time to make a start on my project for my group at Thursday Club ...

A while ago the Uber talented Shari Carroll came up with This amazing creation and I thought it would be perfect to create a similar one for the group ... given that they are mentally and physically challenged, as long as I cut everything ready for them to stick, they can cope and they LOVE taking their creations home ...
So here's a sample of my version that the class will be doing

Cute huh?

I just cut out 198 of those stars ... My Big Shot is exhausted Lol!

On another note - It's so hot outside right now and yet my DH had to scrape ice from his car this morning ... weird weather!

Thanks for looking in ...

Have yourselves a lovely day

Baby Card

Happy Saturday!
I hope it's sunny where you are ... It's sunny here but with a nip in the air...

My DH's grandson is a month old already ... I've only got to see him once but I guess he's grown a lot ...Here's the card I made when he was born

Kinda hard to photograph with that acetate which I used to make 2 cloud shaker windows

I used 2 different stamps for the sentiment ... I had the "Welcome" stamp from WaltzingMouse and the"joy to the world" from a Clearly Besotted Christmas stamp ... I just omitted the word Joy

I have Pat coming this afternoon to do some crafting so I've just made a dozen fruit buns and I have bread ready to go in the oven for dinner tonight's dinner, we're having spaghetti bolognese...

Have yourselves a lovely day

Till soon
