City Crafter 259

Hello and good morning friends...

This is the last week of the birthday celebrations at
This week the lovely Stella has made a card to inspire us

You can pick any element of Stella's card to create one of your own and link up at CCCB for a chance to win the prize she is offering here

Here's my take on the challenge

I was inspired by the stars and the circle shape

I used spray mists to cover the front before cutting the circle

The Guest Designer this week is the lovely Lin of heartshugsandflowers blogspot

I am also entering my card for the challenge over at AAA Cards this week

There's definitely a hole in my card!

Thanks so much for your visit

Enjoy your day

Flutter

Hello

There's a new word prompt over at

This week it was my turn to pick the prompt and it's simply Flutter

We have so many butterflies here right now ... they seem to be fluttering everywhere
Mostly they are Peacock butterflies but not all of them

And quite recently I had to cut out 80+ paper ones for the Thursday club project ... Here they are fluttering on acetate stems

The group made exploding boxes as a Mother's Day gift

I thought I'd also share a photo of one of the many squirrels we have in the area ...

This little guy was enjoying the sunshine we've had recently and decided to take a nap ... His fluffy tail was just fluttering in the breeze

Hop on over to Our Beautiful World Blog and see what my fellow team mates have come up with this week ...

Have a beautiful Sunday

April Showers

Hi there!

I've a dinner guest tonight ... Stella's son Martijn is coming over so I've done some baking and before I start the preparations for our meal I've a card to share that I'm linking up with the new challenge at

I spoke too soon in my last post ...  The April showers have arrived Lol! So whilst the JUGS inspiration photo shows beautiful Spring tulips I'm using umbrellas! Well, the die was still on my desk from my previous card and I love that little die

I painted some card stock in various colours before adding some splats and then die cutting the umbrellas -

I tried to include as many colours on my card as in the photo...

...and I think it's kind of cheerful even if it isn't outside

I hope your weekend is off to a good start ...

Wishing you a lovely day

You Brighten My Day

Hi there!

It's been really sunny and warm here when normally we have the traditional April showers ... Ginger cat and I have been able to sit in the garden under the sun umbrella which was my inspiration for the card I have to share for The Card Concept

Such lovely colours here aren't they?
Here's my card in full

I noticed the silver elements in the photo together with those lovely greys, the bright patterned pink and the glimpse of frames... Hence the frame, the silver sequins and word and the little touches of silver added to the umbrella

My problem is what category to enter this in ... Is it CAS or Clean and layered?
It's easy to replicate but it does have a couple of images - I think I'll go for CAS

Wishing you all a lovely day and thanks so much for your visit

Ombre

Hello!

I have a card to share that I made for the challenge over at CAS.ology where the cue card is Ombre

It's a while since I got to play here and as my friend Pat gave me a lovely new Memory Box stencil and I love sponging this is what I came up with

I just love those butterflies ... The inks I used are all by Memento
Morocco, Tangelo and Dandelion

The sentiment is by Precious Remembrance
I used different shades of sequins to tie in with the ombre theme too

I hope you have a great day

Take care

City Crafter 258

Good morning friends!

Today it's my turn to share a card for you to CASE for the 3rd week of the City Crafter Celebration Challenge...
Strictly speaking you don't have to CASE it ... you can pick any of the elements to create a project of your own ... Hop over to the Blog for full details

I decided that my card for City Crafter's birthday had to have a city landscape and some sparkle

So here we are a cityscape shaker card...

The background, stars and the banner were all sponged with inks so maybe you could use sponging or stars? Maybe even a whole bunch of sequins

Our Guest Designer this week is Tammy of Somewhere under the sun blogspot click on the link to go visit her blog ... She is very talented when it comes to card making I tell you

The winner of the challenge will also receive this prize package from me

Head on over to the City Crafter Blog to see what the rest of this week's team have in store for you and link up your creations

Have a beautiful day!
