Another Gift

Hello friends...

Thanks so much for your visit and your lovely comments ... I hope you don't mind me sharing another light up picture with you ... You can see the first two I did Here

I made this one for my friend's son ... A great guy who I've known since he was a little boy - life hasn't always been kind to him where relationships are concerned but now he is settled with a wonderful lady who also deserves a lot of happiness...

These are not easy to photograph - The glass front doesn't help - IRL they look much nicer

As with the previous ones, I used the Printshop programme to do the verse and printed it onto acetate, cut out the image on my Cameo and used paint mists for the BG - The lights I use are just little string lights that you can pick up for about £2.

I'm going to enter this at Try It On Tuesday and hope it fit the challenge "Create A Scene"

Have a lovely day!

City Crafter 287

Hello and good morning!

It's my turn to host the challenge this week at City Crafter
The theme is Dye It

This week I am challenging you to create a card or project with
NO stamping and NO DP
You may use paints, inks, stencils Die cuts etc.,

I took inspiration from that lovely photo and here's my card

I used my inks and paints to colour pieces of scrap CS and then just cut out a bunch of leaves and flowers... added sequins and beads and a die cut sentiment
I know it's kind of 'out there' for me but I'm happy with it

Hop on over to the Blog to see what the rest of the team have to share and don't forget we have the talented Marcia Hill Guesting with us too!
I hope you'll be inspired to join in the challenge!

Have a lovely day!

Handmade Kindness - Light Up Pictures

Hello there...
If you are looking for my post on Our Beautiful World please scroll down...

I don't usually post twice on the same day but the lovely Jennifer McGuire is running a challenge called Handmade kindness... click the link and you can read all about it, basically it's about creating a little handmade something to give to family or friends

Last night I went to a surprise party for a friend from my old neighbourhood... She celebrates her 70th Birthday this week and believe me that lady doesn't look a day over 50!
We haven't see each other in a while and all my old friends from the neighbourhood were there ... Their children all grown up with children of their own... I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I didn't realise just how much I missed everyone and my old life till I was right back there...
I took a handmade gift for my friend who, I might add, was completely overwhelmed by the number of family and friends that came from near and far to show their love...

It's really hard to photograph but this is what I made

I created a scene with paints and added the cats... printed the verse onto acetate and then poked different size holes through my painted piece before placing it into the front of the frame

You need a shadow box frame to do this so you can add lights and they fit neatly into the back of the frame (held down by low tack tape) and then I used velcro to attach the switch on the outside like this...

I also made one for my sweet friend Pat who has been so wonderful, especially whilst I have been ill for some weeks...

These are my little acts of kindness for the friends I'm so blessed to have

Till soon

Space

Hello there ...

Today at

Mandy has chosen the prompt
Space

We would love you to link up your photos relating to Space

It could be table Space

A secret Space in a rock

...Or an open Space

Then again it could be about going into Warrington town one saturday morning to see these Space travellers amongst the crowds!

(photos enhanced with Picmonkey)

I wonder what they made of Warrington?

Have a lovely day and go visit the Blog to see more photos from the team

Till soon

More Christmas Cards

Hello... How are you?

I'm sharing another set of cards using the cut out rectangle left over from These cards

The little house and the snowflake are by Simon Says Stamp and I used the cut out bits from those snowflakes ... they come out like tiny hearts

The lovely leaf die is by Paper smooches and the papers I used are from Me and My Big Ideas (Mambi) - I picked up this 12x12 pad at TK Max for £7.99

Here's a few of the cards together

I'm still not too well and have a course of tablets to take before I can have the bloods done ... I'm getting really fed up of feeling like this, hopefully things will improve soon...

Thanks for looking in on me
Have a lovely day

City Crafter 286

Good morning!

It may only be the beginning of November but Kirsty has us

We also have special Guest Designer for the whole month of November, the very talented Marcia Hill
Please click the link to go visit her blog where you will find the most loveliest of cards!

Here's my card for the challenge

The BG was done by sponging with my ink pads and spraying with water ... It reminds me of the Northern Lights

The sloped hill is from Lawn Fawn, the image from WPlus9 and the Merry Christmas die is by Simonsays Stamp... where the Wednesday challenge is "Anything Goes" so I'll be entering this card there too

Please hop on over to CCCB to check out the creations from the rest of the team and link up your creations with us this week...

Have a lovely day!
