City Crafter 291

Hello there!

It's my turn to host the challenge at City Crafter this week
I know you are all very busy this time of year and probably making lots of christmas projects...
Well, this week the challenge is all about Winter

We want you to create a card or project that depicts Winter and to make it a challenge
NO christmas cards please!!

Here's my card

My sweet friend Pat gave me this Winter quote stamp which I used on acetate then cut around it to attach to my card- you can see better on this next photo...

I cut the details of this card on my Cameo and used distress inks to sponge a BG before adding some water droplets... There's a sprinkling of glitter around too

We've a talented Guest Designer this week - winner of week 286
Daget Art - Click the link to visit her blog and check out her beautiful creations

Our team also has some more inspiration for you over at CCCB - go take a look and
link up your creations with us this week for a chance to Guest Design with us too.

I'd also like to enter this card over at The Card Concept under the Clean and Layered category, where the theme is "Let It Snow"

And Try It On Tuesday

Where the theme is snowflakes or winter whites

Wishing you a wonderful day

Thinking of you

Hello ...
I hope you had a good weekend ...

Yesterday my friend and neighbour Helen popped over with tears in her eyes... Her Dad had passed away suddenly ... No matter how many friends and family you have, it still feels like a lonely journey you're on in those early days... We chatted and hugged for awhile and later I made a little card for her

Though you can't really see ... I stamped the grasses first in Frayed Burlap distress ink and stamped again, slightly offset, with Versamark and embossed in clear powder

I also gave it a light spray with Vibez 'snow storm' which leaves a lovely soft sheen - and yes, she's a cat lover

Helen's dad was a keen gardener who every year made her magnificent hanging baskets... So DH and I  took a trip out and when I saw this I thought this would make a fitting gift

... which she can then plant in her garden.

I hope you are having a good start to your week ... Be safe

Till soon

Decorations

Hello ...

The lovely Mandy has picked our prompt at

The word is Decorations

It could be any type of Decorations but I'm sharing some Christmas ones that I photographed on my phone whilst out and about this week ... I used Picmonkey to help me out here as my photos were not that good

Don't these happy guys just make you smile?

I love this sparkly reindeer and I just may buy this next one- he was magnificent! Not sure where I'd put him though - He was quite big!

I saw some cute advent calendars in drawer form

I love the house one ... Of course you couldn't get these when my son was little

And my final photo is one from my home ... taken last year and again enhanced with Picmonkey

If you get a moment hop on over to the blog to see what the rest of the team are sharing and link up your photos of Decorations too... We'd love to see them

Enjoy your day my friends

Sponging and Glitter

Hello...

Just sharing another card I made last weekend...

Sponged with distress inks and then splattered with water...

I cut the PTI word die about 3 /4 times and layered it before coating it in glitter and then just added a few sparkles...
I still think I prefer blues and greens to these colours but I wanted to try something different

Enjoy your day... it's almost the weekend!

Vellum Poinsettia For Colour Me

Hello

I am thrilled that one of my light up pictures Here was a Top 5 Winner at Try It On Tuesday!!
Thanks so much to the team!

Today I have another quick Christmas card to share using some more of the Pinkfresh paper

I'm entering this card at Colour Me

I was really sad to read that this is their last challenge... I haven't entered every week but I am always inspired by the colour combinations and the way the team interpret them ... Thank you ladies, I'll miss popping in each week to see you...

I cut out a layered poinsettia from vellum and used Evergreen Bough distress ink to sponge on some of the layers... It matched really well with the paper

You really can't see it from the photos but I added a little glitter to those tiny white stars - a few sequins a sentiment and it was all done!

It's not stopped raining here for days and the sky is dark which means I have to have the light on .. It makes photographing quite difficult and matching colours a lot harder without natural light.. Still I guess it could be worse...

I hope you are having a good week ... Thanks so much for looking in on me

Be safe

City Crafter 290

Happy December!!
That rolled around so quickly didn't it?

Today we have a brand new challenge at City Crafter and it's Kirsty's turn to host
This week the theme is 123 Tag

Kirsty is asking that we create 3 tags - all with a different design

I'm not really a tag maker ... But I soon got into it

My first tag features one of the Avery Elle pups and I added a little christmas hat with a glittery pompom for fun

He's backed onto PinkFresh paper and a few die cut sprigs

My 2nd tag features more paper from Pinkfresh

I added a little bit of 'snow' and a little wooden snowflake ... So simple

For my 3rd tag I used stamps by Docrafts  to create the background

A couple of leaves were cut from an old shop bought card, some frosty berries, a glittered die cut set on a scrap of vellum and a few gems and it's done

I'm so thrilled to say that our Guest Designer this week is the very talented Mac of The Sweetest Of Peas blogspot.. If you haven't paid a visit to her blog you ought to! She is multi talented and her cards are amazing!

You too could win a GD spot with us ... Just link up your entries this week and if you need inspiration take a look at the projects the rest of the team are sharing up on the blog...

Have fun and thanks for stopping by
