City Crafter 295

Well hello!

It's my turn to host the challenge at City Crafter this week and I have chosen a photo inspiration challenge for us

Create a card or project taking inspiration from this photo and tell us what inspired you
It could be the colours, teapot, snowdrops or even the numbers...

Based on the colours, here's what I came up with .. This card was sent to a dear blog friend who recently got a new job

I love shades of grey and the pattern on the teapot made me think of this digital paper I have from Pink Petticoat...

I got in the green and the shade of those Palmier biscuits translated into those sweet little birds

Our Guest designer this week is the lovely Dora Dora was our winner in week 289 - Do go visit her blog she makes beautiful cards and don't forget to visit the City Crafter blog too ... We have lots more inspiration for you there and we are looking forward to seeing what you come up with ...

Have a wonderful Day!

Blue

Hello...

Our lovely Mandy has picked the prompt for this week at

The word is Blue

I took these photos on Friday ... Blue skies overhead...

...But don't be fooled- It's really cold!

The garden swings waits forlorn...

Along with the cold and wet garden table, hoping for warmer weather ...

This is my kind of blue

...The kind that comes with hot weather, strolling along the harbours where fishing nets are brightly coloured and the pace is slow

Hop on over to the Blog to see what my friends are sharing this week and why not link up with us too?

Enjoy your day

Butterflies

Hello and Good Afternoon...

Having just celebrated my birthday, I'm in need of a few "Thank You" cards...City Crafter's challenge this week is to use a butterfly which I did on my DT project and I thought why not use butterflies for my Thank You cards?

... I used digital stamps which I bought from hero Arts many years ago and used my new Copics to colour them

The 'Thanks' die is by Lil'Inkers and you can't really see from the photos but I added a Wink of Stella to each butterfly and IRL they do sparkle...
It's pouring with rain again here - I can't wait until Spring when the butterflies return to the garden, I hope it's not too long...

Wishing you a wonderful day

Till soon

Thank You and Love

Hello....

Thanks soooo much to all of you who left me comments, birthday wishes and for all the lovely cards and gifts I received yesterday... What wonderful, kind and talented friends you are and I am so grateful for each and everyone of you....

I had a lovely birthday dinner last night at a restaurant with my husband, nephew and of course my son ... It was a really good evening.

I have a simple card to share

 Just some sponging and stencilling

This is for my friend's anniversary but it seemed appropriate for you too

Thank you once again and have a beautiful day/evening

Hugs

City Crafter 294

Hello from a very cold Liverpool!

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week we have Kirsty hosting for us with the theme
My Butterfly
Kirsty wants us to create a project that, of course, features a butterfly

I'm delighted to say that this week we have the very talented Pamellia (winner of week 287) Guesting for us ... I know most of you will know exactly who I'm talking about ... Her creations are amazing and if you've never visited her blog, you ought too... Click her name for the link!

Ok, lets get on to my card for this week ...

I made this card last year Lol! For my friends' daughter who celebrates her birthday on New Years Eve

Blending with inks on my card and for the butterfly, which was also covered in Glossy Accents and glitter
The little piece of silver netting and the leaf were in my scraps

Please take a moment to see what Pamellia and the rest of our team are sharing this week up on the City Crafter Blog

Have a beautiful day!

Birthday Hugs

Good morning

Well, my Copics finally came and I've been playing around with them ... Actually I went for the B set Copic Ciao markers - I figured they were a little cheaper and neither are going to make me a brilliant artist but I can practice.
I have a card to share that I made for a friend's birthday... her wedding anniversary is on the same day and I'll share that card with you later in the week

I used the poppy stamp from Technique Tuesday

I stamped and embossed in black before colouring the poppies and I'm so pleased at how they turned out - My friend Pat is going to love playing with my new toys

I cut some leaves from vellum and coloured them too

I'm thinking I may even make another card for my friend and keep this Lol!

I hope your having a good start to the week and it's a good day for you

Thanks for looking in, till soon
