1st Birthday

Hello everyone...
It's a beautiful Spring day here in Liverpool - Seeing the sun makes everyone feel happier and even the cats have ventured out today Lol!

This week my husband's other Grandson celebrates his 1st Birthday and here's the card I made for him

The image is a digital image from Here ... However, there was a lot of pink so I altered it in Photoshop to make it more boyish - I prefer the blue and greens

I also cut a circle where the original drawn balloon was and made a shaker balloon - The numbers were cut on my Cameo and the sentiment was computer generated

I'm entering this card at Just Us Girls where the challenge this week is Shaker cards

I've had a lovely lunch today with my GF's - one of whom is celebrating her birthday and it was fun to catch up...

I hope your day is a good one ...

Till soon

Easter

Good Morning!

I've picked the word prompt today at

The prompt is Easter

It's only a few weeks away, quite early this year and a lovely time of year for so many reasons- A symbol of new beginnings even if you don't celebrate the religious side of Easter and it's Springtime

With daffodils and bunnies

And of course Easter eggs and little chicks - These are for my Thursday group

They all symbolize new beginnings and I guess the friendships we've forged - I got this beautiful card the other day from my dear blog friend Greta

Isn't it pretty!

I was actually christened on Easter Sunday, a very long time ago lol!
This upcoming Easter Sunday my husband grandson is going to be christened but I'm not invited so I guess I'll stay home and eat chocolate...

We'd love you to share your Easter photos and stories with us at
this week ... hop on over to the blog and see what my friends are sharing

Enjoy your day

Thursday Club

Hello...
It's a bright and beautiful morning here albeit still quite cold.

I'm glad it's Friday... It's been a busy week for me and last night I was running my craft class at Thursday Club.
As you may know the people in my class are mentally and physically challenged so they can't piece together certain things - the projects have to be semi completed for them.
Here's what we did last night

It holds a candle (a battery one) and lights up the scene

And they also made cards

As you can tell that's a lot of cutting and planning for me with a group of around 20 people.

I don't think I shared the owl treat holder we made as one of our Valentine projects so here it is

We filled them with sweets and also made a few cards

I've prepared their Easter crafts so for now I can finally get back to creating my own things, though I'm a little worn out right now Lol!

DH will be home tomorrow after spending time in Spain golfing. Alas it seems it was very cold there and I don't think he enjoyed his break.....I kind of enjoyed myself though..Hee hee

Have a beautiful day

Till soon

89 years Young

Hello there

Tomorrow my dear Aunt celebrates her 89th Birthday... I adore that lady
When it came to making her birthday card  I wanted to do something I know she would enjoy, she loves animals but prefers photos of real animals rather than the die cut sort. So I scanned the internet and found a lovely photo  Here  which I printed and used on her card

I cut a frame for the photo and used Copics on leaf branches that I cut on my Cameo then added some little clear gems...

I also coloured the die cut sentiment with a copic marker and added a black strip of card behind the frame to make it pop a little

I hope she likes it...

I've been working long hours on projects for the group at club tonight and I'll share those with you tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day

City Crafter 302, NBUS & SSS

Good Morning!
We've had frosty mornings followed by sunshine these past few days - It's cold but the sunshine makes such a difference...
DH has gone off to Spain for a golfing holiday and to use a quote I saw on Pinterest
"I am currently unsupervised and the possibilities are endless"

So... Today is the start of a new challenge over at City Crafter and we have Kirsty hosting for us
The theme is
I'm Working on my PhD (Projects Half Done)

The challenge is to complete a half done project that was sitting in your craft room for awhile

When I have no inspiration one of the things I tend to do is experiment with inks and paints ... I play around and then the piece are just left, so that was the basis for my card

I die cut the flowers and butterfly from my painted pieces and the crackled brickwork was me experimenting with crackle paste

I made this card for friends of mine who celebrated 48 years of marriage recently... A little different from your average anniversary card but they loved it

Our Guest Designer this week is Evy winner of week 296 ... Do click the link and go visit her lovely blog
Our team at CCCB have more projects to share so go take a look and link up your projects with us this week.

I am also entering this card at Darnell's NBUS Challenge - The dies are new as is the crackle paste

Over at Simon Says Stamp, the monday challenge is make your own background so I think this qualifies for that challenge too

Ok...Have a beautiful day and I'll be back in the week
Take care

Home

Hello there....

This week's word prompt at
has been chosen for us by Kirsty - The word is
Home

This is how Home for me looked yesterday... Cold wet and icy with the occasional snow fall

Even my Christmas cactus has been fooled into blooming

Of course we don't have it as bad as some of you do ...
Liverpool is my home, a sea port, a city with immense history
We have 2 football teams 2 cathedrals and funny accent
No, we don't have a beautiful aqua coloured river

and skies are not always blue, but we are a colourful city with a warm welcome

Dotted around this city you can see what we call the lamb bananas - so called because they were originally yellow and resembled bananas but we changed that

Mixed in with some of the most stunning architecture, my home has quirky things that make you laugh...

And amazing things that make me proud
This is the Black Pearl - made from reclaimed and salvaged goods from the beach, built by volunteers and sitting proudly on the other side of the river from me

The evidence of our history as a sea port is everywhere and most of the old dock buildings have been refurbished and are now apartments

This is Home to me..It's where my heart is

Go visit the blog to see what my friends are sharing this week at

Have a lovey day
