Holiday

Good morning!

The prompt over at

This week is Holiday...

Wherever there is a beach and the open sea,  that's my choice of holiday...
It never ceases to amaze me that I can get onto a plane and within just over 2 hours I am in another country...

It takes me as 4 hours by train just to get to my Aunt in Lincoln!

I recently returned from a holiday with my DH where this was our front door for the week

The early morning sunrise rose to the left of our balcony

...And to the right the relaxation beckoned

Days spent walking, talking, swimming and enjoying the warm summer like evenings, albeit October

The evenings were mellow watching glorious sunsets across the sea

That slowly sank into the distance

Yep, that's a holiday...

Have a beautiful day

Easy Autumn Projects

Hi there...

I'm feeling much better today thankfully... I'm waiting on the results of x-rays and I have blood test to go for but fingers crossed all will be well. The main thing is I'm feeling better and I'm back into crafting...
Last night was club night and I haven't seen my group for a few weeks so I prepared 3 simple Autumn projects for them... Heck the room was heaving.. I kid you not!
Thankfully Pat was with me and she'd also brought a friend who is visiting and we did have a good number of support workers too...

So first up we created some simple framed pictures

I printed and stamped some BG paper and cut out the shapes for them and let them embellish with gems stones

Then we did some cards

I bought a whole heap of silk leaves (100) for £2.30 on Ebay, so much easier that me having to do them and I cut out more leaves for the ears, circles for the google eyes and also a nose and computer generated a sentiment.

Lastly with the off -cut from the cards we made bookmarks

I really wish you could see their faces when they've made their projects... All the hours put in is so worth it - Well, I keep telling my aching back that Lol!

Wishing you all a good day ...

Till soon

City Crafter 333

Hello... How are you all?

On top of my cold I somehow managed to get the stomach flu too - I'm taking my own advice for once and resting a much as possible and hoping that things improve soon.

So, today we have a new challenge at City Crafter, chosen for us by Marina
The theme is "Did I Make You Up"

Marina is asking that we create a project that features something that may not exist...e.g. A Mythical creature or a hidden element

I decided to go with a little fairy
Here's my card

I did a watercolour BG and added specks of gold for my fairy sitting under the tree

She was cut on my Cameo along with the tree frame and  I added a computer generated sentiment

Our Guest Designer this week is Gerdine winner of our challenge for week 326... Click the link to go visit her blog.

As always the team have more inspiration for you up on the City Crafter Blog

Have yourselves a beautiful day

CAS Watercolour

Hello...

Well, hubby and I had a wonderful holiday and now I'm home and already I've caught a head cold, I guess I need to go back Lol!

Visiting some of my blog friends this week I discovered a new monthly challenge called CAS Watercolour

What a great idea for a challenge and one I had to join in. The first challenge as you can see is Autumn and here's what I came up with

It's definitely challenging for me to make it CAS and original... In the end I used Gansai Tambi paints in various autumnal shades on watercolour paper and when it was dry I took a Tim Holtz scribble and splat die to cut out the horizontal shapes.

Then I used a Memory Box die to cut out a tree and painted it with gold metallic paint

So that's my version of CAS watercolour ... I'm already looking forward to the next challenge.

I hope you are enjoying your day and my thoughts are with those of you affected by the recent hurricane... Be safe!

Better late than never...

Hello friends...

Well, I thought I had scheduled all the necessary DT posts before I went off on holiday, but it seems I somehow missed the post for

where the prompt was Autumn, so here are a few photos

Autumn in the garden is quite late this year but there are signs

Don't you just love the colours nature gives us?

The tall trees are clinging tightly to their leaves though some have started to change hue... Yellow, red and gold

The berries are in no doubt what time of year it is as they put on a magnificent display

...Like tiny little pumpkins

For the wildlife to feast on

I love this time of year, albeit chilly, the colours that Autumn bring are like lighting the fire for the winter to come....

Enjoy your day
