It's that time of year

Good morning...

Believe it or not I have a Christmas card to share today... I know, I know...
See, it's that time of year and if you are like me and want to get your DT work done in advance (so as not to panic) well, there's bound to be Christmas cards on the agenda. So I've been making a few using the TH tree dies and the negative pieces were just staring at me... Oh they are so pretty, I think I love the negative more than the positive -  I just had to grab my inks and do some stencilling

I used 2 different distress inks and then decided to put some vellum over the top which gives it a really soft look

and the tree die, cut in shiny silver, isn't lost in the background

The only problem I encountered was that the vellum is not the kind you can stamp on but it did work for embossing

Well, that's one down - only 100 to go Lol!

Have a great day ... Thanks so much for stopping by

City Crafter 335

Hello there...

Stella is hosting this week's challenge over at

This week the challenge is either to make a Halloween project OR a project using the word Hello as Hallo is the Dutch word for Hello

I made a Halloween card that also uses the word Hello ...

...Using some tree stamps and a stencil from Inkylicious. The stencil is actually for mountains but I thought it would work for spooky clouds too

I used various distress inks and of course I had to add my little cat

Our Guest Designer this week is Sarah, winner of challenge week 328 ... Hop on over to the City Crafter Blog to see what Sarah and the tea have to inspire you this week

Wishing you a fabulous day

Be a Survivor

Hi there ...

Visiting my lovely friend Darnell's blog this morning I was alerted to a blog hop run by

It's something that I feel passionate about ... I hate bullies of any sort and the transition from victim to survivor is not an easy one when your spirit is broken and your confidence is non existent

I made a card for this hop

...Probably the quickest card I ever made as I knew exactly the right sentiment to use

If you're interested in joining in ... Hop on over to Becca's blog to check out the details - There are many companies offering gifts too

Enjoy your day

Comfort

Hello... Happy Sunday

Mandy has chosen the prompt Comfort this week at

Comfort comes in so many ways like having your Mum to snuggle into

...Or watching over you

Or having your big cousin to go with you as you take your first paddle in the sea

Comfort can be a lighthouse or a port in a storm...

Having your very own swing chair to lazy away the summer days

or maybe just a coffee and chocolate when you're feeling low

We'd love it if you shared your Comfort photos with us at

this week ....

Have a beautiful day

Highland Deer

Hello...

My husband's cousin celebrates a birthday this week... She lives in Scotland and though I've never met her, we have talked many times on the phone ... We keep saying that we must make a journey to see her, but somehow something always gets in the way...

Here's the card I made for her

Just loose watercolouring with Gansai Tambi paints and a frame cut on my Cameo.

The last time I was in Scotland, many years ago, we saw lots of beautiful deer and stags... Such majestic animals... This one was also cut on the Cameo and painted

The sentiment is from a PTI die and cut from watercolour card that I painted first with gold paint and left to dry before cutting.

Are you looking forward to the weekend? I am ... I've been up very early this last week due to the decorating work we are having done and other than the club I haven't been out of the house at all. So tomorrow I get to have a later start and perhaps a little retail therapy Lol! My hubby's DIL is doing well and hopefully she can also go home this weekend...

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by

Till soon

Another Watercolour

Good morning...

It's a real autumnal morning here ...It's damp and chilly but the colours are glorious in the intermittent sunlight.

I've been trying to teach myself to draw and paint in watercolour - It's a slow progression, I'm not a natural but it's a change from making cards and something to do when inspiration for a card is just not there... So today I'm sharing a painting I did recently and I'm hoping that when I look back in a years' time I will see an improvement Lol!

At least my boats are looking more like boats and my sky is improving...

I've ordered a few proper brushes instead of the cheap ones I've been using and I'm looking forward to trying them out...

Pat is coming over today and who knows, maybe we'll get the paints out.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by
