Sketchy Trees

Good morning...

Got some of my sketchy trees for you today with some random watercolour

I'm longing to see some colour on our trees ... There are a few catkins about but otherwise everything is dull so I'm making my own colour

See I'm branching out? Haha!  I'm trying to draw branches onto my trees now... Everything is a tiny step but I'm having fun and that's what it's all about huh?

Speaking of which, Pat's coming over in a few hours and we' can play all afternoon

Enjoy your day!

City Crafter 344

Good morning!

Oh the weather here has been dull wet and miserable... But I'm thankful that we aren't freezing like most of Europe...And my heart goes out to all of you struggling to get to work

This week's challenge at City Crafter has been chosen for us by Stella and it's aptly named
Blue Monday

Stella wants us to create a project to cheer someone up... Maybe 'Get well" or say "Hi"

I confess that I didn't read her instruction properly and assumed that the project should be blue ... But no matter...

I'm sure this brought a smile to the recipients face

Just sponging and stamping but see those stars? Well I came up with the idea of using the balloon string die (Lil'inkers) cut in vellum, to adhere them to and they can kind of bounce on the card

The City Crafter team along with our January Guest Designer Danielle, have some lovely projects to inspire you this week ... Hop on over to the blog to take a peek.

Enjoy your day and be safe

Little bird

Hello...

I'm still sketching and painting and today I have a little bird to share

I guess it's his birthday 'cos I gave him a balloon ... Or maybe he's going to visit someone on their birthday

Either way he looks a happy little guy don't you think.

I hope you're having a happy day

Thanks for stopping by

Light

Good morning...

We have a new prompt today at

The word is Light and here are a few I came up with

Sunlight streaming through my front door...

Moonlight on the sea...

Beautiful evening sky light in my neighbourhood

Light in a tunnel ...

A Christmas table light

...And a canvas on my wall that has flickering candle light

Come and share your light photos with this week us at

Have a wonderful day

For a Super Woman

Good morning!

It's been a busy week and yesterday I mentioned that as well at it being my wedding anniversary,
it was my talented friend and fellow blogger, Keren's birthday...

I was pondering what card I should make for her.. I mean have you seen her cards? They are amazing!
As I was thinking I started to doodle and then realised I was doodling something that looked somewhat like a comic strip Keren... And I knew she would take this is good fun 'cos I'm not a brilliant artist

Here's the card, with added watercolour

See, I think of Keren as a super woman ... She creates for so many companies, is a brilliant mum to her 5 children as well as being such a lovely person inside and out

Here's to you Keren!

Till soon

Double D Celebrations

Hello there!

Today team Diane are kicking off the first challenge of 2017 over at

It's a very special challenge ... We are celebrating our 1st birthday!
The theme is "Anniversary" and here's the lovely tile board to inspire you

Now before I go on to share my card ... A note about our celebrations

This challenge will run as usual for a fortnight and as well as the prizes given to our winners by the lovely Dar and Diane, there will be extra prizes up for grabs! But the celebrations don't end there... The following fortnight's challenge will also have extra prizes! AND many of the team members (both teams) are also offering a prize on their blogs. It's one heck of a celebration so hop on over to the Double D Blog for full details

Now on to my card...

It's actually my wedding anniversary today, honestly, so I had to make something that wasn't too girly that I could give to my husband, though seeing that lovely tile board I did wonder what I could come up with... But the greens, the silver and that wood framed chalkboard caught my eye and that's what led me to this card

As always our teams have created some wonderful projects to inspire you... You can go frilly and fancy or simple... It's up to you
And before I forget, Here's the gift I will be offering

All you have to do is to leave me a comment and I'll draw a name at the end of the challenge to see who wins... There's no blog hop and the same will apply to all the team member blogs ... If you'd like a chance of winning their gift just leave them a comment and for a chance to win the prizes offered by Double D, just link up your creation... Simple!

Before I go I'd like to wish my friend and fellow blogger the very talented Keren Baker
Happy Birthday!

Wishing you a wonderful day

Edit ... I have been asked if you can enter if you live in the UK ... Well I'm based in the UK and Yes, you can enter from anywhere in the world ... Double D do not have any restrictions which makes it such a great challenge blog.
