City Crafter 347

Good morning!

It's the last day of January and February beckons...

Today Stella is hosting this week's challenge at City Crafter with a Colour Splash

'Create a project with Black & White and a splash of Aqua'

I think I got a little more than a splash here...

I've got stamping, heat embossing, stencilling and a little die cut cat... Kinda busy? Hey ho ... I just went with it ... I've decided not to be so hard on myself and agonise over these things, after all I'm not entering these challenges ... That's down to you haha!

So this week is our final week with a Guest Designer... The lovely Danielle has been with us the whole month of January and we've loved having her, but we are changing things a little here at CCCB so stay tuned.

Our team will continue to inspire you with their creations up on the blog ... Go take a look and link up your
black & white with a splash of Aqua creations

Have fun!

Till soon

Our Beautiful World

Good morning...

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is

'Beautiful'

Simple, or is it? There are so many things in our world that are beautiful but some can not be captured in a photograph...

You can photograph the beauty of nature

The colours and the delicate petals of a rose... But not the scent
The first show of blossom but not the joy that Spring brings...

The wildlife that visit and thrive because of these beauties

And the funny little habits of some of those visitors that both annoy and yet make you smile

But you can't photograph the beautiful relationship of trust and love
Not many would think Ginger was beautiful when we took him in

His eyes so sore and the sadness of being mistreated and unloved evident... And now?

Now you can see his beauty was always there...

My last dog Holly was about to be put down till I found her in the RSPCA,  dirty and neglected, ribs broken from beatings ... 2 years later, just look how beautiful she became...

Sometime you have to look beyond the surface to see beauty, sometimes the most beautiful things are only felt in our hearts...

Enjoy your day

NBUS Challenge & SSS Work It Wednesday

Hi there...

Once again the lovely Darnell is hosting her ever popular NBUS challenge!

You must hop on over to her Blog to check out all the details as there are various optional elements but the theme is always the same ...
Use something that you haven't used before, be it a new item or something that has been stashed away just waiting for this moment!
There is a whole array of amazing prizes to be won... That lady just blows me away... I was lucky enough to meet her last year and trust me, she really is as lovely, generous and witty as you think!

So here's my entry

My NBUS items are the stencil I used for my BG which was a gift from my friend Stella and to my shame I had never used, and also the bicycle die which I bought on Amazon and it arrived on Monday...

I cut the bicycle in silver glitter card and in white so I could pieced the flowers/stars and mud guards, then used Copics to colour the balloons etc and glossed them with Mod Podge dimensional magic

One of the optional elements is to use the camouflaged word technique and that's what I did here with a PTI birthday die.

I'm also entering this as Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday

Ok... My friend Pat will be arriving in a few hours and I know she will want to CASe this so I'd better get organised...

Have a great day

City Crafter 346

Hello and good morning!
Another week has gone by and I really don't know where the time is going...

Today Kirsty is hosting our challenge at City Crafter
The theme is "Celebrate With Confetti"

Kirsty is asking that we create a project using confetti, well I think sequins count so here's my card

I made this card for a friend's birthday and ended up making a ton of Thank You cards with the same design, just smaller... Of course I forgot to photograph them before they were posted Lol!
The idea was to have the confetti falling from the tree

I love using my distress inks to sponge with and the card came together really quickly.

We still have our lovely GD Danielle with us this week and I do hope you will go visit the blog to see what Danielle and the team have created to inspire you..

Have a great day!

Just a card

Hello there ...

It's been a busy few weeks and ages since I've been able to make anything other than DT projects and Club projects ...  I spent a few days to prepared last week's project for Thursday Club, they made calendars and I don't have one to show you because I always give away my samples when we have a big class and it was a full class and very noisy!
Sadly one of our members had been in hospital and the situation is such that a safe place had to be found for him...  Parent just become old and their mind gets confused... So whilst it is hard work to keep on coming up with projects, it makes the group happy and that's all I can do.

I have a little card I made a long while ago that I forgot to share ... It's another one where I drew a butterfly and flower into some loose watercolour

I did a similar one Here, but the flower then was stamped...

I haven't had my paints out for a while and I like doing these smaller cards so hopefully I'll find some time and inspiration to do more...

Wishing you all a wonderful day

Till soon

Our Beautiful World

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is

Outside

It may be mid winter but there are a few things stirring in the garden outside... If you look closely, there are signs of new beginnings

Amid the remnants of Autumn, daffodil shoots are appearing...

And in the dull and drab coat that January wears, a little colour struggles to survive the cold and rain

Every morning I come outside to feed the birds and they wait patiently

Calling out when breakfast is served

I don't have a fancy camera... Just a little digital that I grab when I can and shoot on zoom through my window, and I was happy to at least get a shot of the new squirrel babies that use the trees as an outside playground

They are so quick!

In a few weeks I'm hoping to see greener outside, daffodils swaying in the breeze and Spring on the horizon...

Share your photos with us this week at

Have a lovely day
