Just us Girls Card

Good Morning!
I hope you had a good weekend... It was my husband's birthday yesterday and on Saturday his eldest son and DIL came to visit so he got to see his granddaughter for the first time... I think it was his best present!

She really is a cutie...

Today I have another card to share that I'm entering at Just Us Girls

I made another card with the same design as my GD card for Inkspirational but this time it's a top fold card with vibrant colors

I thought it would make a good Valentine's Card without the obligatory red

As you know, I'm a huge fan of blue and green and I love these distress inks... Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon

I hope you are having a good start to the week ...

Enjoy your day

Hello there ...

Today I am delighted to be guesting over at

Such a beautiful photo and here's what I came up with

I love the soft colours in that photo and used a balloon stencil from MFT together with the heart breeze die from SSS to create my card

The love word is also from SSS

The team over at Inkspirational have some wonderful creations to inspire you up on the Blog ... Do go on over and take a look.

A huge Thank You to the team at Inkspirational for having me join them this fortnight

City Crafter 348

Hello and good morning lovely people...
Are you ready for a new challenge at City Crafter

This week we have Marina hosting for us with the theme
S.W.A.L.K

Marina wants us to use a letter or an envelope this week

I made a card which actually looks like an envelope... This is the front

And this is the back

Pretty easy actually as the front text is a digital image. I stamped and paper pieced the rose using Copics to colour the leaves and stem, then covered it with glossy dimensional... A few little hearts just finish the romantic look

Of course you could just do this on an envelope

We have a Guest Designer with us this week ... Jenny Martin... Many of you will know Jenny, but if you don't, do hop on over to her lovely blog - she makes fabulous creations

So... Have you any ideas? If you need a little inspiration the CCCB team have some lovely creations up on the blog ... Go take a look

I'm also going to enter my card at AAA Card Challenges

Thanks for your visit, have fabulous day!

Our Beautiful World

Good morning!

The prompt this week at Our Beautiful World is Yummy,
Chosen for us by Riitta

Well I guess what's yummy to some, is definitely not yummy to another...

I might find this yummy

Or a crab fresh from the sea in Cornwall

And afternoon tea with special friends is definitely yummy

There's even yummyness for my cats

They love these things...

I've noticed that the word yummy is used in Blogland a lot to describe things that aren't food based, like lace, colours and textures... Well if you're going for yummy colours ... How about these scarves

And these with lace

Could you pick just one?

We're really interested to see what you can come up with this week... Link up at

Have a lovely day

In the dog house

What? No, I'm not in the dog house hee hee...

I thought I'd share the project I've prepared for my group at Thursday Club to make tonight. Many of you often ask me to share but I don't always remember to photograph my prototype, and normally at the end of the evening someone gets to take mine home with them.

So here's the dog house

Actually they won't be all dogs... I came up with the idea for them to make the little houses first and thought how much they would love something to put in them ... I trawled the web and finally came up with a bunch of finger puppets on Ebay that were inexpensive and so cute

...So I bought 30 of these and I know they will love them.

After cutting 30 of those houses on the silhouette ( yes, that's why I go through so many blades and mats!) I printed some papers and hand cut all the pieces to decorate it. Added some punched flowers and thought it still needed something....

So I digitally created a base and BG to stick the house onto and voila! All done.
It did take me a few full days I hasten to add but seeing their faces tonight will be worth the effort.

A week or so ago I told you about one of my group who had been through the mill a little and I'm happy to say that a foster home was found for him and he is still able to come to club. He was so happy last week and so were we.

I hope you enjoy your day ... Take care and thanks so much for your visit
