Club Projects

Hello there ...

I haven't posted this week other than my DT for City Crafter but I've been far from idle... I'm just busy preparing for the club projects...
I know some of you like to see what we do so I thought I'd share some things with you ...
For Mother's day we made a pop up card

This is the outside

And inside

Lots of bits for them to stick together but lots of bits for me to cut!
Of course I included a gift for them to give to their mother, guardian or carer -  A cup with a chocolate inside

Complete with a flower and a little spoon

This week I'm working on Spring/Easter projects as we will have a 2 week Easter break after this week which will give Pat and I a little breathing space...
So far I have completed all the design and cutting for this

It's a free standing project with pop ups and a little chick

I design the BG on my computer using all my digital papers and files, then I came up with a little box for the birdhouse which are all hand cut... The umbrellas, the wellington boots etc., are done on my cameo.
It takes me days and I've still to come up with a couple of cards for them.
I had a letter from the hospital to let me know I am deficient on vitamin D... I just have to take some tablets... Then again it's not surprising as I spend so much time indoors creating!

I definitely have to get out more Lol!

Have a beautiful Sunday and I'll be back on Tuesday

City Crafter 355

Hello ... Are you having a good start to the week?

So today starts a new challenge at City Crafter and this week Kirsty is hosting for us with the theme
In Bloom

Create a project that has a flower or flowers
Really simple... Here's my card

I've a mix of stamps and dies going on here... The dog is from Avery Elle's Furry friends - I stamped coloured and die cut him then made extra cuts to have him fit over the stitched circle.

The flowers are from the MFT Buildable bouquet set and the clouds are by Memory Box... Cut from digital paper from Pink Petticoat.

The sentiment was computer generated...

The team have some lovely card to inspire you up on the City Crafter Blog ... Go take a look.

Have a lovely day

Bye Bye Chester

Hello there ...

One of the friends I meet up with for lunch each month, Ella, had 2 little Shih Tzu's, Bailey and Chester - Her boys she called them - Sadly some months ago Bailey went off to doggie heaven. Well, last week  Chester went to join him... Having lost many cats over the years as well as my beloved dogs, I know there are no words to ease the pain so I just made a simple card

A bouquet of flowers covered in tear drops...

I added a little ink blending just to enhance those pretty flowers... Ironically my last dog Holly died on Ella's birthday 7 years ago...

... And my heart still aches

Enjoy your day my friends

Till soon

Happy Mother's Day

Hello!
It's a beautiful day here in Liverpool and it also happens to be Mothering Sunday
Happy Mother's Day to all of you who celebrate today ... I hope you have a beautiful and loving day

I got the biggest card ever from my son and one from the cats! I also got a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and chocolates... I am so blessed to have Mikey - He's is and always has been my rock and the best thing that ever happened to me...

I had news this week that my Chiropodist  Les who happens to be one of the nicest guy's ever, is in hospital. He suddenly developed eczema similar to mine but much more severe and will have to stay in hospital until they can find something that will work for him...

I pulled out the 'surprised birdbrain' digital stamp (From The Heart Stamps) to make a card for him

I mixed it up by using part of the stamp from the other birdbrain digital... namely the flower border and added it to this one...

... Coloured everything with Copic Ciao's and computer generated a sentiment
And here's the inside

Have a wonderful day ...

Till soon

Watercolour Mushrooms

Good morning...

Spring is paying us a visit today and it's more than welcome after all the rain and miserable cold weather we've been experiencing.
Along with that we are in shock at the recent events in London, where terrorism has claimed more lives.... My heart goes out to everyone affected, along with the British people there were Americans, Romanians, French, Polish and more... London is like my second home - Where my family were born and millions of visitors come to every year ... It hurts.

It's been a busy week - Along with all the daily chores we are redoing the master bedroom and I prepared 25 Mother's day type cards and treat cups for last night's Thursday Club. Many don't have mothers but they have support workers, guardians, family and friends who they can give their cards and gifts to. It was a very hectic night!

Somewhere in between I managed to get out my paints to make a little card which I was going to enter as the CAS Watercolour challenge ... But I missed the deadline

Don't ask me why mushrooms... I just like them. These are from a christmas stamp set funnily enough - Gnome for Christmas by Memory Box..

I used the Gansai Tambi paints and even though there are so many more watercolour goods out there now that allow you much more precision I still love these and the not so precise look.

I hope you have a lovely day and a wonderful weekend

City Crafter 354

Hello!
Well, it's officially Spring Time here but you wouldn't think it looking out of my window... Still the days are getting lighter and longer and that's a good thing.

Today is City Crafter Challenge day and this week Marina is hosting for us, asking us to create a project that features a window or aperture

Here's my card

I didn't have any design in mind when I made this ... I'd bought the MFT stamps and dies (Buildable Bouquet) coloured and cut them and that was my starting point... For the front I cut an aperture in a piece of card and added some dottie acetate that I had in my stash...

Then I realised that I couldn't just add it to a card or I wouldn't have a window... Duh! So I had to cut an envelope shape that I could add the front to and still have a window...

I kept back one flower to put inside so I could make it visible from the outside... Then it occurred to me that I could have just stamped one inside! Mush brain or what?

Whilst you're still laughing, hop on over to see what the rest of the team have to share with you this week at CCCB...

I'd also like to enter this card at the AAA Card Challenge where the theme is Die Cuts

Have a great day!
