Love Ewe

Hello!

Well I celebrated my birthday a few days ago, though I didn't do anything special, I did have a couple of friends come over and we had a lovely afternoon.
I like to say a big Thank You for the lovely handmade cards I received, your kind wishes and your prayers for my upcoming surgery... So this card is dedicated to you all

And it fits the bill for the challenge at City Crafter

City Crafter is where my journey really began and it will always be close to my heart

The little sheep is a digital from a colouring page and after colouring it I printed it straight onto my card and then masked it off to ink blend my hearts.
I used a couple of heart dies to make my stencil and cut out the sentiment on the Cameo.

I will pop in again tomorrow with a couple of cards for The Twofer challenge and then I'll be absent for awhile...

Have a beautiful day

Hey Gull Friends...

I'm so grateful for your kind wishes and feeling much better and so over the disappointment of cancelled surgery, which has now been re-scheduled for next week, 17th.
Unfortunately DH is really struggling now with a hacking cough and cold... I think I'll have to ask him to go live in the shed so I don't get his germs Lol!

I got to make some cards yesterday, well, there are a few birthdays this month and I also wanted to send a few surprises out.
Of all the cards I did last year two of my favourites were using the the gulls by MFT and one I did with colour blocking so I went with them again...

This is almost a copy of the other one but bolder in colour and with some gold touches

- It's for my husband's SIL

The next one is for a friend

I don't think I'll ever tire of that smug looking gull

Again some gold embossing...

Heck, I love him!

Have any of you had problems with blogger and leaving comments? Maybe it's my computer but it took me ages to visit you all today, I mean doesn't blogger know it's hard for me to sit down for any length of time? Phew!
I gotta go now and get a cup of tea...

Have a great day

Update

Hi there...

Just popping in to let you know that my operation has been postponed due to me having caught a cold... I know so many of you have kept me in your prayers and sent well wishes and I am so grateful to you all. I know it is for the best, things happen for a reason right? Nevertheless I am devastated, but still staying positive that sooner rather than later I WILL be fit again.

Hugs

Anniversary Cards

Hello...

I'm just popping in with a few anniversary cards...

A few days ago DH and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, some friends came to visit and  low and behold brought a cold virus with them... The following day I was feeling it and as I am to have surgery tomorrow I am just hoping that it won't be cancelled... Your prayers would be much appreciated....

Anyway I made a card for Ian but it really doesn't photograph that well...

The BG was done by smooshing Iced Spruce distress oxide onto white card and then overlaying with a wet stencil. To give it a little sparkle I splattered in gold paint.

I also made one for my friend who will also be celebrating her anniversary this month... Unfortunately her husband has terminal cancer and it was hard to know what to say on it

So I used 2 different stamps and did a little masking with them... It does photograph better than the first one though

I've been looking at the weather that some of you are experiencing right now and I have a dear friend living out in NJ - She is part of the nursing staff in one of their hospitals and struggles to get to work everyday but somehow makes it... Bless her

And before I go, I just want to thank the team at CAS Watercolour for my Outstanding design award, what a lovely way to end the year... Thank you!

Please be safe and have a good week...

Hugs

And the Last Birthday Card of the Year goes to.....

Carla!

My friend's daughter Carla was born late on New Years Eve 30 years ago, they waited 16 long years for her to arrive so she is kind of special...

I'm must say I was glad to finally put away the Christmas stamps for another year and get back to making a birthday card....

In my favourite colours of Cracked Pistachio and Broken China (what a surprise!) Lol!  Who knows, I may even find a new colour combination that I love in 2018 and shock you all

I did pull out my Cameo to cut out all the words then I hand cut a little holder for a gift card for her

Are you celebrating tonight?  It will be a quiet New years Eve for us, DH and I will no doubt watch a film cosy and warm...With the cats of course, and maybe a glass of red wine?
I always like take time to reflect on events of the year that we are leaving behind, the good and the not so good, and whilst I'm not one for making resolutions, I'll never stop hoping for peace in this crazy world of ours.

It's been a wonderful year in our creative community, don't you agree? Lots of new ideas, new techniques and new friendships forged....
To you all - I wish you and your loved ones a lovely evening - Be safe
 And a very
Happy New Year
filled with love, happiness and good health... Enjoy!

Till soon

Birthday Boy

Hello!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was very kind to you.
Are you looking forward to the New Year?I know we are...
2017 has been a tough year for us and today I go for a pre-op assessment for my surgery due in just over a weeks' time so I'm hoping that in a few months time hubby and I will be able to enjoy life again.

I can hardly believe that Mikey will be 35 tomorrow... Oh my, where did those years go? How I miss those little arms around my neck and smothering him in kisses that always made him giggle. Now he's over 6 foot tall, far too big for me pick up and cuddle but he'll always be my baby.

You probably know that he adores animals and especially cats, so here's the birthday card I've made for him

Of course the cats are supposed to represent Ginger Boy and Missy - The 'birthday wishes' was cut on my cameo

It's freezing cold here today but so far we are not bogged down with snow... I do hope you are keeping safe and warm and wish you all a beautiful day
