Smooshing with Betsy

Hello ...

This is a scheduled post as I'm off to Lincoln today for my Aunt's 88th birthday...

I'm joining in the Make It Monday with Papertrey Ink
Betsy Veldman is hosting with a technique known as smooshing and it's one I am very fond of since I am not an artist with a paint brush or copics ...
I made 2 cards using ink pads and water and smooshing

I love this colour combination - I've used a pearlescent card and the ink works really well on it ... The embossed sentiment (PTI) doesn't works so well though

The next card uses the Life stamp set (PTI) and the Time stamp set (PTI)

...along with a PTI butterfly die

I hope you're having a great day

Till next time

~ Ros ~

  13. What beautiful cards! I need to go over to Betsy's blog and find out more. Why do you think the sentiment on the first one doesn't work well? I think it looks very good!

  16. I watched her video and you did a great job with the technique. I'm not sure what ink you use for your sentiments but I got some Versafine Onyx Black a while back and find it gives me the best results. It may not matter with the pearlescent card stock though. Beautiful work!
