Hello how are you?
I've been busy catching up on work this past week and I was delighted to see that the tag I shared in my previous post was picked as a favourite over at the Tag You're It challenge!! Thanks so much ladies!
I've made a few cards this week but none that I can share just yet ... However I do have one that I made a while ago using up my scraps
I love making cards from my scraps ... they always seem to come together much quicker than those where I have to 'think' about either the theme or the colours
The word 'wish' is a SSS die which actually says "wishing' I just cut of the last part ... It's worth looking at your word dies and seeing how you can easily adapt them to fit into your sentiment ... I like to do that with stamps too ... take words from different sets to say what I want
My special needs group had their end of term disco last night ... I'm exhausted! Lol!
I'm getting too old to be dancing all evening!
I'm glad for the summer break ... it gives me a chance to think about projects for next term and I can relax a little.
Thanks so much for stopping by....Enjoy your upcoming weekend

ReplyDeleteBrilliant card Ross and so clever t have made it just from scraps! It looks brilliant and I have to say I love the lettering of that SSS die!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card! Hope you enjoyed the disco :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - and how fabulous to have used up some scraps too. Love that die cut in particular.
ReplyDeleteI love your scrap card. I think it's so much fun to gather all the bits and scraps and make it into something to enjoy. Wonderfully done.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ethereal quality to this.
ReplyDeleteWow Ros, just stunning! I love how you always combine different types of textiles, the burlap butterfly, splashed vellum and metallic leaf sprig against the shabby, vintage newsprint, it's just so captivating!!
ReplyDeleteOH your never tooo old to dance Ros LOL!! I love your card the vellum adds a lovely softness to it :)
ReplyDeleteDisco! Boy would I love to have seen you cutting the rug. Did you do the classic John Travolta move? hee hee The card is delightful Ros. I don't think you really use scraps. ;-) They always look like the full real deal. hee hee Your ability to do that inspires me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI told you earlier tonight; you are an example to me. And I LOVE your scraps:). I never would have come up with the idea to cut of a piece of a sentiment die or cuttng stamps. I am such a deer :). Your card is lovely; silver and blue...I am smitten :)
ReplyDeleteXXXXX

ReplyDeleteYou make me want to get out my scraps and see what I can come up with...this is so pretty...and what a clever idea of using the words a different way!!
ReplyDeleteRos, your cards are 'Gentle', 'Peaceful' - reflecting you, I think
