Friends

Hello...

The end of another week draws near and tomorrow I am taking a short break to go visit my sweet Aunt... I will be away until Tuesday. I haven't seen my Aunt for ages and much as I hate to leave my sick friend, I need to re-charge my batteries so to speak and spend some relaxing time with the aunt I love so much...

My friend was moved into a nursing home this week and in between visits, liaising with doctors and social workers as well as the normal daily things, I did managed to squeeze in some time for crafting and catching up on DT work... I have a card to share which I made for a friends' birthday - There are so many this month!

Some simple ink blending - It's fast becoming one of my favourite things to do - along with a stamped and embossed image

Now if only I could remember to send them out on time it would be good! Lol!

Oh, did I tell you that this card was a Top 5 over at Try It On Tuesday? How lucky am I!
Thank you ladies!

We've had plenty of rain over here and the forecast doesn't look promising, heavy thundery showers again...

I do hope it's better where you are - have a wonderful day and thanks so much for your visit

  6. Congratulations on the shout out at try it on Tuesdays, so very well deserved. Today's card is so eye catching. Gorgeous colours and blending. That black pops against the colours. Also like the contrast of the kraft card sentiment. Another feast for the eyes, thanks for sharing x Do so enjoy the break away with your gorgeous Aunt. You really do need the rest and break away, it will do you the world of good x

  10. I absolutely love your ink blending and the wheat image! I have a wheat image I've been wanting to use like this, but didn't want a dark card, so I'm very inspired by what you've done. Colorful and pretty with lots of white. This is a real WOW! My wheat isn't this open and jaunty and pretty, though, sigh. Fantastic card, Ros! I hope you enjoy your visit and, again, I'm so sorry about your friend who I know is like family to you.

  11. Enjoy the time with your Aunt and re-charge your batteries - you can't be there for others if you don't take good care of yourself first. And what a beautiful card that is, love the strong colors but also the shiny effect of the embossing!
