Hello and good morning...
I'm returning today after a little blog break to share my post for
I picked this week's prompt and it's Baking
I baked a few things yesterday... The weather has been so hot since I last blogged and told you we had rain... Typical! Well hot weather is great for proving bread so that was my first job
I much prefer home baked bread ... no sugar and just simple ingredients
Then I went on to bake one of my favourites
Any guesses? I just love anything with almonds so this is a Bakewell Tart
As it's summer we are taking advantage of the fruits available like British strawberries and I made us a strawberry creme patisserie with the last few in the fridge
My husband loves it when I bake ... he especially loves the pastry and I always use the left-over to make him a special little pie which he already ate so no photo Lol!
My final photo is one of a sign that I have hanging in my kitchen ... I love it
Hop on over to see what the team are sharing this week at
Have a wonderful day

It's a good thing we're not neighbors--haha! I couldn't resist your baking, Ros--looks so yummy! Reminds me I've gotta get my biscotti made--miss not having it with my morning coffee.
ReplyDeleteOh Ros, you are a professional in baking! The bread and strawberry pie look so delicious! No wonder your husband is happy! Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteNothing compares to your home-baked love-li-ness.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos that set a cozy scene. It appears you are quite the baker! Your yummies look as beautiful as I'm certain they taste. I have a rather small kitchen, but it's very sunny, so even on a beautiful day I like being in there puttering around. I like your flour bin!
ReplyDeleteI could eat these just out of my PC!!! What a wonderful baker you are, add it to the list of your many talents x Glad you've found the time to bake x
ReplyDeleteYUMMY! I'm coming to YOUR home! LOVE your blog heading, too!
ReplyDeleteOh, yummy! Fresh baked bread is delicious! My Mom always baked delicious bread! And, your tart looks fabulous, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous and delicious selection of goodies, not surprised your OH loves your baking. I live not far from Bakewell - if you haven't been, it's worth an outing, especially on market day and you can combine it with a trip to Chatsworth too.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little late now - but could I hop over and try bit of everything? It all looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteNext time when I go to UK, I want to go to Liverpool for those yummy treats whether you like it or not! : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! Thanks for sharing this piece of your life with us!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been watching the Great British Baking show and thoroughly enjoying the current season!
What a fun word you picked and yummy pictures...all the baked goods look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baked good, Ros, you know how to make us hungry!
ReplyDeleteI had the privliege and pleasure to taste your amazing baking talent. And cooking; my oh my...I gained a stone! LOL! Thes epies look delicious.....I am drooling!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! You are quite a backer, based on these 3 scrumptious looking choices. I haven't had breakfast yet, but I could definitely go far any of these 3 with a cup of latte and an orange juice. I would probably add some honey to one of the slices of bread. BTW - I had never heard of a bakewell tart, so I looked it up. Blessings!
