CAS Watercolour Challenge September

Good morning!

This month I'm thrilled to be Guesting again at

One of my favourite places to play and this month the theme is Tree

As always the team have amazing creations to inspire you - Go take a look

I love this time of year when the trees change colour, though I don't think fir trees would ever be the colours I decided to use... Lol!

I watercoloured a background using Gansai Tambi paints and cut the 'hello' into it

Then I used my Cameo to cut out some trees but here I am just using the negative piece which I die cut a stitched edge onto before placing over the painted BG

There is some gold paint splatter on there too but it's a little hard to see...

We are really looking forward to seeing your beautiful CAS watercolour creations... I do hope you'll join us

Have fun!

  5. Now Ros, don't you remember that those trees are from that wonderful whimsy forest just down the way from your house. LOL The colors are lovely and I like the popped up sentiment.

  8. Gorgeous Fall colors, Ros. I bet there are a few fir trees out there that would love to change colors in the Fall. Besides, it is the artists creative license that says, whatever suits your fancy:-) I think your trees and die cut hello are Gorgeous against all the white background. TFS and congratulations on being chosen the Guest Designer. Hugs...

This is so pretty and creative! I love the soft lovely background colors of Gansai Tambi. You have such a great taste in colors. And what a great and unique idea to partially die cut the sentiment to pop up. Using the negative of the front panel is a great idea too. Hideko xx

  14. Your very creative thinking is showing with the trees negative framing the "hello" like that. Also, the colors are beautiful and I can clearly see the gold splatters, especially when clicking for a close up. I'm all for artistic license. A stunning piece, Ros. Congratulations on your guest spot!

  20. As I'm catching up as usual I have already read your next post... wondering what you should do for Christmas cards. I think this could be one - the trees could be snow covered, "hello" can be replaced with something else... As for this card: it's so beautiful! I love the ink blending!
