Welcome Spring

Happy March
and
Happy St David's Day

A leek is the traditional emblem for St David's Day celebrated by the Welsh, but more often than not many people recognise the daffodil - I have no Welsh ancestry but I did make a card...

... from some of my scraps. I love putting little bits together - all I had to make for this was the pot

And I stamped and embossed the sentiment....

We've enjoyed a few really warm days this past week... So unusual for this time of year but very welcome. Ginger cat thought summer had arrived but it's raining today and he's so disappointed...

I hope you are enjoying your day... The weekend will soon be here

Take care

  6. It's so nice to see your clean, fresh, pretty card today, Ros! That sure is a beautiful script on the "hello". I'd never heard of St. David's Day, so I learned something, too. I hope you have some more pretty days ahead of you soon. I shouldn't complain about our inch or two of rain when just a few hours south of us they got 20 inches in the same amount of time and are flooded out of their homes. Three hours north they got 9 1/2 inches of snow overnight which broke a 100 year old record. Comparatively we live in a banana belt.

  13. Beautiful & unique card, Ros--love the daffodils & in fact, my neighbor's are blooming! Fritz is kind of like Ginger Cat in that when the sun is shining he thinks it must be sunbath weather, not realizing how cold it is. This morning there wasn't any wind, so I put his fleece coat on him & he thoroughly enjoyed laying in the sun.

  14. Daffodils must be THE sign of spring for me... by now here the magnolias are already past their prime while the cherry blossom will soon be in full swing. Beautiful spring card!
