Hello...
I know I only posted yesterday but an idea for a card suddenly came into my head and I just had to go with it. We'd been out this afternoon to collect a few things and I was just relaxing when boom inspiration hit. Of course things were delayed a little when I realised I hadn't fed the cats and I also had to prep tonight's dinner... But a card... For the CAS Mix Up Challenge
See, I still had the stencil out and the stamps (Lavinia) so all I had to do was find the umbrella dies
Which I embossed into the card, and then stenciled over. I only used two colours of Distress inks, Walnut Stain and Iced Spruce. I really am liking the earthy tones
Okay that's me done...

OMG Ros, this is simply stunning. The earth tones give a special richness to this beauty and such the perfect compliment for these Lavinia stamps. I'm in love with all this white and the crisp stencilling and stamping. This card is striking. Thank you so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up!

This is FABULOUS! I have yet to try that emboss with dies technique but you've sure intrigued me here! This is perfect with the earth tones! Well done my friend! Hope you're staying safe & healthy! (boring as it is! lol) Hugs from Ohio, USA

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Ros and the embossed umbrella looks so pretty with the added stencilling in those wonderful earthy tones, and the added toadstools and hanging flowers, and that sweet hedgehog under the umbrella with the ink blended hills are beautiful, and the kraft tag complements it perfectly. x

What an inspiration... any dinner has got to wait for that! (Though I realize cats have a hard time being second in line). This card says "fall" in so many beautiful ways.

ReplyDeleteSweet card & love the color combo, Ros! For the life of me I cannot tell the umbrella is embossed into the card. Funny how we can't always see what's really there. Love the stenciling for the umbrella--wouldn't mind having a real one that looked like that!
