Celebrations and Remembrance ....

Monday will be my 'Adorable',  'Much Loved' great nephew's 8th birthday.....

He is a bundle of energy, bright as can be and has overcome so much in his young life...

His birthday unfortunately will always be tinged with some sadness, as his Incredibly wonderful and devoted daddy was rushed to hospital on the morning of Ross's 3rd birthday ... he passed away the following morning...
Not a day goes by when we don't think of him and miss him ...... But Monday will be Ross's day.

We don't seem to be able to get treat cups here in the UK so I improvised and used the package front from one of my rolls of tape ...  works just fine.

Alas for me, I will be attending the funeral of my friends' son Adam on Monday ..... This too will be a celebration of his life..... Celebrations and Remembrance.....

Thank you all for your prayers and your lovely comments

Till soon keep safe..

Tag Challenge

Hi there,

City Crafters Challenge starts today.. you can visit here .. please pop along and see all the creations - these girls are so lovely ....
Anyway. the challenge this week is for a Tag, be it on a card or on it's own... Here is mine..

This is actually an envelope tag ... So I can just put money in or any other little thing like a note, some jewellery, a photo ...

This is the back...

I did a little close up too ... see that charm?

Well that was actually an earring.... not sure who would wear them, but I saw them ages ago being sold for coppers (maybe no one does wear them?) so I bought them knowing I could use them someway in my crafting.

Enjoyed doing this ...

Before I go - Thank you again for all the lovely comments and for stopping by...

Have a great day

Till soon

Lilies and sadness

Hi everyone ...

Just a short post today with a little card to share....

This is the card I did the other day... I love lilies, their scent and their elegant beauty. As you have probably gathered, I have no copics, and I am useless at colouring in for some reason... hence I like to use stamps straight on to paper or card. This was a little tricky to cut out but it was worth it.

A little sad news... yesterday my friend Shirley lost a second son to Cystic Fibrosis.... Her eldest son died a couple of years ago .. he was a close friend of Mikey.. both boys were only in their early 20's ... How my heart aches for her.....Please remember her in your prayers.....

Till soon

Fairy softness

Hi there,

I didn't think I would be posting today as I have been to see my Aunt in Lincoln ... but on checking my favourite blogs, I saw that Mona Pendleton - who creates the most beautiful things - had set a challenge on the Play Date Cafe blog.... It was just too hard to resist having seen her card and all the beautiful entries...

So here is mine....

A little Fairy baby nestling in the flowers
Yes, I used some more of that lovely scrunched ribbon - it really adds to the softness of the colours and the theme... just a little bit of glitter on baby's wings too.

That's all for now

Till soon - keep safe

What is soft and subtle and pretty as can be??

.... My lovely goodies from Bluebird Lane .... (sigh)

Just how pretty is this? And this is just the packaging! Ooooh! I just stared at it for ages, couldn't bring myself to open it.... the prettiest gift to myself.

Of course I did open it.... look.....

Oh my... my mouth was watering...... so dreamy isn't it....

I resisted touching anything, just couldn't bear to open those little packages until this afternoon, when I could resist no more....
Just a little peak for you though - I'm saving this card till next week

See? I used some of that scrunched seam binding - only a little mind, got to make it last....

I am going to share something though - remember I told you about my beautiful Aunt in this post and showed you her embroidery here? Well we are going over to Lincoln tomorrow to see her (yay!) and I thought you would like to see one of her paintings...

There was a picture in one of the daily newspapers of a lion with his cub, looking every inch the new father that hadn't slept too well (Lol) .... my Aunt saw it and decided to paint it... She hadn't painted for more than a year as she recovered from a double mastectomy following cancer, (at 83! I ask you) I just love this picture - which of course has my name on it! And I am so very proud of her - she is my inspiration in life...
What do you think??

Have a great weekend...
Till soon,

Ros
