Stamping and Sponging

Hi there ...
How's your week been?
Mine's been quite busy with family stuff etc., but today
I spent time in the city with my SIL ... It's been far too long since we were able to have some girlie time ... a little shopping, lunch and a chat over a coffee or two ... It would have been nice if we could have left off the coats and not had to carry umbrellas ... but at least we had fun ...
The world's biggest ocean liner the Queen Mary 2 was in dock and our brand new city library opened today too ... here are a couple of photos of the new library

You wouldn't get me on those stairs ... I'm scared of heights and the glass sides make it even more daunting for me!

I have a little card to share ...
The challenge over at CCCB is about using a stamp 2 different ways ... Where is everyone? I don't see any entries yet ... The DT have shown various methods to use your stamps and here is another way ... Stamping and sponging with ink pads

This is a stamp from Inkylicious and I used various ink pads to sponge this ... I'm still trying to perfect the technique but it's fun mixing colours and seeing the results

I used a couple of 3D stickers and added the lamp post (a memory box die) which was just sitting in my  bits box

Well I have to say that all that walking today has worn me out ... I'm going to cook dinner and have a relaxing evening ...

Enjoy your weekend my friends and thanks so much for popping in ...

Keep safe

~ Ros ~

  2. Very pretty!
    I am worn out too....gardening.
I remember our chat last year about Fox and Cubs. Mine grows in an awkward place where everyone walks and sort of grows out of the Tarmac.
I can't move it without hurting it. Yours grows in a much more sensible place, if I remember!
Can't wait for mine to flower!

  10. Oh my goodness Ros, I'm in love with your card!! Gorgeous! That's a beautiful technic, how do you do that? Well, you use a sponge, so I figure there's some water involved?

Good to hear you had such a lovely time. And wow, those stairs and the library, it's way cool!! I could get lost in there for hours... Probably with my nose burried in books without noticing anything of the stunning surroundings :)

I was thinking the same by the way, where is everyone? May be we should have more sponsors, although I think it's hard to find any?

    big hug,
    Wendy
