Sail Away...

Hello and good morning from a beautiful sunny Liverpool...

We arrived back home from Majorca yesterday and I'm trying to catch up with things in between a ton of laundry...  Hubby and I had a wonderful break - You all know I love that Island ... It's my happy place, where I go to relax and on occasions heal but I was so glad to see my son and my cats, especially Ginger cat. He was quite unwell when I came home from visiting my Aunt in Lincoln but with a lot of love and care he improved before we went away. I'm thankfully that in Mikey's care he is now fully recovered and out enjoying the sunshine again.

It was hot and sunny every day despite the breeze from the sea -  Last year it rained virtually all week! And guess what? In just under 2 weeks time we are flying back to pick up a cruise ship heading for Italy, Sicily, Menorca and Corsica... Well someone's got to do it and it might as well be me Lol!

Here's a little card I made when hubby told me about the cruise...

When I mentioned my visit with my Aunt a few weeks back ... I told you we never stopped laughing, well one of the reasons for that was that we decided to teach ourselves how to crochet some little animals. We thought it would be easy...All we had to do was crack the 'magic circle' thing, or so we thought... It was a hoot! Eventually I did managed to make a cat though she's not perfect... If you look at her legs you can see where I went wrong

And when it came to the skirt, the pattern said 'pick up the 2 stitches you left'... Um..what 2 stitches? Lol! So I kinda made it up as I went. Then I didn't have any eyes or noses so I improvised with gems for the eyes and a felt cut heart for her nose, but you know, I am quite pleased with my first attempt.

Before I finish I just want to say a big thank you to CAS Mix Up for an Outstanding Design award and CAS Watercolour Challenge for a Top Pick ... And thanks to all of you who visited my blog and left comments for me whilst I was away... I really appreciate it

Have a beautiful day

~ Ros ~

Oooh, a cruise now? You'll be so relaxed and rejuvenated you won't know what to do with yourself! Better get that laundry done so you can start packing again. I'm glad you were inspired to share this bit of heaven on a card. I can just feel it... ahhh... And your little kitty is darling! It would have taken me a while to notice the legs. Hey, kitties don't always have matching feet. It's adorable!

A wonderful card, my friend--can almost feel the soft breeze! Hoping it's just soft breezes while you cruise--something we'll never do. I couldn't even begin to crochet an animal--was lucky to get baby blankets & scarves to turn out OK--haha! You're like my sister--just figure it out your way! That is one adorable kitty cat! So glad to hear Ginger is again enjoying her life--lucky she has Mikey when you're gone! Congrats on the featured projects--always deserved in my book!
