City Crafter 327

Hello!
Are you ready for a new challenge at City Crafter?

This week we have an easy one for you... Marina has picked Birthday Wishes and the challenge is just to make a birthday card

I made this card for a male friend who lives near my Aunt

I used a digital image and sentiment from here and coloured it with Copics and found some very old DP from my stash

Hop on over to the Blog to see what the rest of the team have to inspire you this week... We also bid farewell to our Special Guest Star for the month of August... Davi
We've really enjoyed having her along with us sharing her talent

As this is a NBUS digital I'm also playing along with Darnells's NBUS Challenge

Have a fabulous day lovely people!

Sunlight

Hello...

Today there's a new word prompt at

Our Beautiful World

And the word is Sunlight

This was taken in the month of November in Palma... Warm, bright sunlight and unless you're a local, no coats are needed... Much like a summer in the UK!

Many of you are fortunate to have warm sunlight all year round, and I have to say it really does make me happy when the sun is shining... This little butterfly loves it too

I managed to photograph this whilst on a beach last year ... the sun coming through the palm tree and the sun halo around it

By contrast, sunlight on snow, close up it sparkles like diamonds

And I love the dramatic sky as the last of the sunlight slipped below the horizon on a Greek Isle

If you have some photos that fit the prompt, link up with us at

Our Beautiful World

Enjoy your day my friends

Watercolour

Hello there ...

It seems ages since I posted and yet it's only a few days... I've been kept busy with these

and this

You may remember that earlier this year I made "Save the Date" cards for my friend, well now I'm onto the invitations... 50 down and 50 to go.
And Missy ... She's discovered the back garden and is in every nook and cranny... We don't like to let her go out to the front of the house because she can really get lost, I mean that's how we ended up with her, but one quick dart and she's over the fence!
So I am run off my feet... It's worse than having a child!

I do however, have a card to share that I made a few weeks back when I was playing with my watercolours

Very similar to the others I did but I find them addictive (and simple to make)

Well, I'd better get on with my invitations and catching up with your blogs... I hope you are enjoying your day

Till soon, be safe

Boo You

Good morning!

It's time for a new challenge at City Crafter and this week the lovely Stella is hosting with a theme

"It's all about you"

The challenge is to create a project that has the word YOU in the sentiment (note: not your or you're)

Here's my card

I used one of the many free digital images from Here, coloured it with Copics and added dimensional gloss to the mushroom, which I cut twice so I could mount it over the frame

As you can see I also made a frame on my card using acetate

Our GD Davi and the team have more inspiration for you up on the City Crafter Blog and we're looking forward to seeing your entries this week

Have a beautiful day

AAA Cards

Hello...
I hope you are well...

Today I'm playing along with the challenge over at AAA Cards...

...Where the challenge is blending and here's my card

I pulled out a few distress inks along with some dies and blended twisted citron and blueprint inks on the leaves and hickory smoke for the little elephant...

My blog friend Diane sent me a cute elephant die and here I used the negative part to sponge ink through then took a black pen to add a few lines around his ears and for his eye

I don't know what it's like where you are but here we've had so much rain and it's very dark... The sun put in an appearance for 10 minutes and it was lovely but I think that's it for the rest of the day...

Thanks for looking in - Take care

No line colouring

Hello...

I've not been too good this week .... I somehow a trapped nerve in my back and the pain has meant a few sleepless nights... I'm feeling much better today though and as I was unable to get around I've been able get ahead on DT work whilst watching my husband fathom out the vacuum cleaner Lol!

I made a card today just for fun... Looking out of my window it's wet and gloomy so today's card is autumnal and bright

The pumpkin, apples and acorns were all from free colouring pages which I converted into png.files (transparencies) using Photo Shop. Then I was able to put them all together and create an arrangement in the Print Shop program and I reduced the opacity so I wouldn't get any harsh lines when printing - just a faint lines to guide me.
This is how it looked before altering the opacity and printing

After using my Copic Ciaos to colour the image, I added lots of Mod Podge Dimensional which is kind of hard to capture but eventually I did

The leaves were cut on my Cameo and then I used Distress Inks to colour them before glossing them up too

On another note we have kept the kitty... Now called Missy - She's settled in but still prefers the safety of being with Mikey...Ginger cat wants to be friends and he's so patient but so far she isn't having any of it and is keeping her distance

I hope you are having a good day...

Take care

City Crafter 325

Good morning!

Kirsty is hosting this week's challenge at City Crafter and the theme is
Black and White Party

This week we want to see your black and white projects suitable for a party/celebration such as Birthday, Graduation or any Happy occasion

This week I made a bottle tag

I used one of my Cameo cut kitties and dressed her with a bow, did some paint splatters, added some washi tape and a die cut congrats...

Our Guest Designer Davi and the City Crafter team have more inspiration for you up on the Blog and we hope you'll link up your black and white projects this week...

Talking of Kitties... We've acquired another one... It's early days yet, and we'll have to see how things go - She's not keen on Ginger cat so hides a lot and she looks like a baby version of Gipsy who we sadly lost earlier this year ... Here's a photo

Cute huh?

Have a lovely day

Sending Hugs

Hello...

I'm still playing with paints at the moment and have another little card to share

I get the same feeling of awe seeing watercolours pool into different shapes as I do when I see the magic of heating up embossing powder...
With paints no two things are ever the same and I love that

I love these colours too and I added some gold drawing ink though you don't really get to see the shimmer here..

This one is going to a blog friend and I hope she likes it

Wishing you all a wonderful day

Bridge

Hello and happy Sunday!

The new prompt over at

is Bridge, chosen for us by Kirsty

I took this on my phone so it's not a marvellous shot, but it's The Runcorn bridge which is only a few miles from me and links us to the other side of the River Mersey... A new bridge is being built right now and it is causing havoc with motorists but once it is finished it should alleviate a lot of congestion... though it will be a toll bridge...

It's funny how many bridges I did find going through my photos... Some were taken abroad like this one in Andratx Majorca

And this one is in Lisbon, carrying cars on top and trains below

The next little one is in Flam in Norway

They have larger bridges too in Norway like this one in Stavanger

and many of them just disappear into the mountains where roads have been built, Aesthetically Norway is so clean and pretty with no sign of pylons or anything that would mar the beauty of the scenery hence many roads go through the mountains and not around the mountains

By contrast here's a wooden bridge that goes from the beach to a lovely restaurant in the sea in Majorca

But here in the UK we have lots of bridges, some are very old and picturesque

This was taken many years ago when my husband and I stayed in Matlock Derbyshire ... It's a beautiful place and very dog friendly! The bridge is the Jubilee Bridge... For Queen Victoria ... dated 1887
And if you've ever travelled to Worcester to the River Severn you may have come across this bridge

Bewdley Bridge opened in 1798... It's so pretty and the swans love it too

Then there's Whitney Bridge in Herefordshire

In the Peak District the scenery is beautiful and wonderful for walkers and hikers and you often come across little bridges like this one across the many streams that flow

So there you have it ... My shots of bridges... If you have one that you'd like to share, link up with us at

Have a lovely day
